4 out of 5 eggsGood, not Great

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: LOTS OF VENTILATION! This case rocks in the ventilation area.
LOOKS! This case looks great in the dark.

Cons: Cable Managment - This case has very poor cable management for having the power supply at the bottom of the case.
Case Width - This case, due to the large window fan, will not accommodate any decently large tower cooler.

Other Thoughts: Love it in general!

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Case

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The case looks decent and has ample room for whatever you want to put in it. Temperature readout on the front is convenient.

Cons: Have had the case for about 3 years now, only significant issues are that it tends to be a bit loud with its fans running (may need to turn game volume up to properly hear dialogue) and in sleep mode, the logo on the front of the case lights up / flashes. This is easily resolved with a bit of duct tape, but is annoying when trying to sleep with it in the same room.

Also, paint tends to be easily scratched. (Can be fixed with permanent marker if you're not picky)

Other Thoughts: Not a big deal, but after a few months, the small magnet in the front door of the case came unglued. The door still stays closed fine, it just makes it seem a bit cheap.

Could use more front USB ports (has two).

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Reliable, a little messy

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks nice, cool blue LED
One whole side is clear so you can see right into the box.

Cons: No wire management really.

Other Thoughts: Ive had this a little over a year and works great. Its a little nerve racking trying to route the cables. I love the Clear side and the Big blue LED lit up fan.

3 out of 5 eggsCool Case

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Awesome looking case. Easy to work with for the most part. The brackets for the HDDs are seriously user friendly. Just pop them into your harddrive and slide it into the steel casing to mount. Lights are pretty. I love LEDs on my computer. Never realized how conveniant having the PSU on the bottom would be compared to the top. It's a nice switch up.

Cons: When mounting the case fans on the top of the case, it's a bit tricky finding the right spot so you have access to all the holes on the fans. The molex cables are flimsy. I found I had to push the pins back up into them after plugging the connecting power plugs in, which was a pain in the backside. The three pin plug to the Temp reader pops out so easily and can be frustrating to work with especially if you're not running a modular PSU. All the extra wires makes it hard to avoid pulling it out by accident. The large, 200mm case fan on the side is kind of pathetic. And by that I mean there's no actual holes in the side but plastic supports that are glued onto the side which you secure your fan into. I found two of the four screw spots on the fan were missing their screws and because of that, and being so flimsy, one of the supports snapped off. I've yet to try supergluing it back on. Probably will soon. Either way it should have been made more solid. When I secured screws in, the plastic sounded like it was trying to fracture. That's not a pleasent sound at all. That could have been my fault. I tried using some of the screws that came with the case, but there's so many it might have been the wrong size. Still, the fan should have been properly secured in the first place. Cable management can be tricky with this case. It gets cluttered easily. I highly recommend a modular PSU to help with that. It really does make a difference.

Other Thoughts: I'm not trying to discourage people from buying this case. It really is a nice case. It just has some .. annoyances. The case is otherwise solid. If you can tolerate the little frustrations when initially setting everything up, you should be okay. Just gotta be careful with that case side. It is frail. For me, I tend to play with my machine a lot. Always looking for improvements, and learning new things about the computer. So for me, it's more of an annoyance then for someone who's just setting it up and not intending to do any kind of surgery on their rig again for a while.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken out of the box

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: didn't get to use the case, but it looked descent except for the plastic front.

Cons: When I got it out of the box the plastic face of the case was disconnected and broken from the rest of the metal case. 5/6 of the plastic prongs were snapped. I'm still waiting to send it back so I can receive my refund.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Starter Case

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great Case Design. Included temperature monitor. Decent amount of space.

Cons: The expansion slot covers will not go back on after you take them off. So, if you make a mistake, like I did, and take off the wrong cover... You CANNOT get it back on.

Other Thoughts: I wish the case came with screw on expansion slot covers/ No screw design.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Purchase!

This review is from: APEVIA X-PLORER2 Series X-PLORER2-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I have had this case for about 5 months and it's a nice case. The two included 120mm fans (1 pushes in the top of the case [i moved it] and the one in the front pulls in) and the 200mm fan (pulls in) were very nice.

Cons: The only problem i had with this case, which was primarily a PSU problem, was that my 8-pin supplemental was too short, so i had to buy a extension, although it's not really a con, just kind of annoying.

Other Thoughts: A very nice case for my first build.
