4 out of 5 eggsGood Case, Bad Fans

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good size, easy installation, good air flow

Cons: Hot Swap position is fixed, prevents putting a different device in that position. Case fans all have Pass-Through molex connectors of low quality. Had to push pins back into them after trying to plug them into anything (PSU molex or each other). Wiring for it also sucked, small amount of tension and the wires pop out of the Pass-Through molex, spent time trying to fix, ended up giving up: (plugged into end of another molex and using electrical tape to keep "safe"

Other Thoughts: Temperature sensor for front panel is just a wire you "slide between fins of heat sink. Seems to be fairly accurate.

Side panels are well made, both slide on and off like a dream.

Overall, I'm really happy with this case, huge upgrade from my previous HP Pavilion micro ATX case.

Shipped via FedEx for me, they were quick and delivered to my leasing office when I was not home for delivery (Unlike UPS's policy of leave it on my door step).

2 out of 5 eggsDecent case, worthless display

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Case is nice and sturdy, was easy enough to set up. Plenty of room for chord management and the fans do their job.

Cons: Display for internal temperature is a scam. Functions for a bit, then stopped working altogether, and is now just a bright green square

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the temperature gauge to get an exchange on it if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Used this case for my very first build, and it has yet to fail me as far as design goes. Had my dad help me along with putting the whole thing together, and his only complaint was that the built-in case fans on the top were rather close to the CPU power slot on the motherboard, causing a few complications when trying to set everything up, but it worked out in the end. Would recommend to a friend.

Cons: -Thermometer broke, but I don't believe it was the case's fault, had some issues with the CPU and had to re-seat it a few times before it decided to work, and the excessive movement of the thermometer broke it, I believe.

4 out of 5 eggsI love this case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is beautiful. The temperature sensor works perfectly for me. All five fans are perfectly installed and run great. The LESs are nice.

Cons: The only problem I have with this is, about 5 minutes after turning on my PC (after taking my last case apart and putting everything together in this case), one of the LED lights started flickering and about 15 minutes later, that LED no longer works

4 out of 5 eggsCool Case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Cool looking case, price is right.

Cons: Had to remove the 200mm fan due to aftermarket heat sink for cpu. Had to purchase a 120mm fan so it would fit and case close correctly. removed an egg for this due to costing more money for correct fan.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case for the price

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Quiet moderately powerful fans. Very bright led fan and nice sleek look. Decent cable management.

Cons: the panel behind the motherboard is a bit cramped but works fine. Mine came with a broken bottom led that lights up the "APEVIA". Poorly built molex connectors. Not big enough problems to take away an egg

4 out of 5 eggsVery decent case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Very nice look, better that in pictures
- Reasonable cable management
- 5 fans, room for more
- hidden drive bays, quick-load HD bay

Cons: - Fan connectors are difficult to work with and don't allow the MB to control the fan speed, etc
- Some build quality issues
- Unable to get LCD temp to read properly.

Other Thoughts: Overall, a good case. The fan connectors are not as difficult to work with as some reviews suggest, at least for me - they're just a bit finicky, but they work. That said, it would be much better if they had 4 / 3 pin connectors so the motherboard can control the fans. In terms of build quality - the wires on the large green LED fan were broken upon arrival - a quick solder job and it works fine, but still - one egg off. The sides of the case can be a bit troublesome - not enough to take away an egg, but I've seen better side panels. I have also been unable to get the LCD temp to read properly - it just says "Lo" I tried moving the probe, etc - no change. I didn't dock an egg because this could easily by user error. In terms of materials - some reviews indicated weak metal or thin panels - honestly, seems fine to me - its a case, not a table and seems plenty sturdy to do its job. The case itself looks very nice. Some reviews mentioned a sticky "on" button - I had that issue once on initial start-up, but not since.

Manufacturer Response:

If you need help with the case, such as with the temperature gauge, you can contact Apevia's customer service at service@apevia.com or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-GN Black / Green Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Now that the system is together I gotta admit it really looks good. putting it all together in this case went fairly easy besides the coming cons. Cable routing was good could have been executed a little better but by far not the worst I've seen. Yes there are better constructed cases out there for the same money but here is the sticking point none of those are gonna come with this many fans. On that note the fans are really quiet. Love the front headers and hot swap bay is well executed.

Cons: Same as first impressions the Molex thing is just ridiculous and you can't tell me QC could not fix that or a change of there supplier. Same could be said for the 200MM fan LED's. I have one out of the 4 that was DOA it blinked a couple of times at the first time system start up and then nothing since. This maybe due to perhaps a faulty Molex connection or it just maybe defective. I am sure as hell not gonna RMA a case for a defective LED but it is just yet again disappointing QC

Other Thoughts: All in all a few problems but at the end of the day still satisfied with what I got. I just wish Apevia if you are listening that you would handle the QC issues because you would have a 5 star product hands down
