4 out of 5 eggsPretty Decent Case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It has lots of room, so it fit my huge r9 280x graphic card with three fans.
Good Air Flow. PC runs at great temps.
Temp display is great for "at a glance" temp read.
Five fans (included) - even though with my hyper 212 evo I couldn't have the big fan on the side with my case.

Cons: Bought me and hubby matching cases of this case (mine is silver, his is black). His headphones/mic (audio) plug on the front didn't work on arrival... We've had these cases about a year... now mine have quit working. The USB's still work, but not the audio plugs.

Other Thoughts: Really, aside from bad audio plugs in the front on both mine and hubby's cases, this is a pretty good case. Definitely worth the money. Just be prepared for the audio plugs to go out.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, quiet, but a little cheap

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I love the cooling in this case, it's pretty solid cooling.

The airflow in this case is just amazing, and the front LCD display is nice, I have caught myself using it multiple times, I placed the heat sensor in the fins of my gpu heat sink, and it stays around 23.5 at idle, and goes up to about 28 under load.

Cons: I wish the fans were on 3-pin fan headers, but sadly, that's not the case; the fans connect via 4-pin molex, so be prepared to have to give up a molex connector, or buy new fans, especially if you buy a fan controller with it.

The front LCD has gave up on me once within the first week of having it, but after pulling off the front panel and flicking the switch back and fourth, I got it to work again.

Let's get down to the nitt picky now, after all, it is a good chunk of change for this case. I had to re-situate the front power button with some electrical tape because having to press the button exactly right bugged me so much, I just couldn't stand it, though, the tape is not at all visible from the outside.

The bay doors for the optical drives are pulled closed by this little tiny spring that is plainly visible when the disk bay is extended. and one of the springs for the front bay HDD slot popped off as soon as it was opened, and the spring is so small it got lost, so now the bay door just hangs.

the four lights on the front of the case are nice looking, if they didn't get dimmer as you go around; the top-right light is the brightest, and it goes clockwise, slowly getting dimmer until the last corner, the top-left which is the dimmest. all together this case will use 2 of your 4-pin molex connectors, which is a big problem for me, as most PSUs only have 3, leaving one open for other things.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is a nice case, and I would definitely recommend it, the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion, nonetheless, it just plain looks cool, it's quiet, and keeps my stuff cool, I feel I will have this case for years to come; though, I may change out the fans.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat looking affordable case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case has a lot of fans and vents so cooling is not a problem. In my opinion the size of the case is just right not too small and not too big. Looks really nice with the lights and the temp sensor is a plus. The USB ports in the front are very convenient. Didn't have any issues while building, upgrading, swapping hardware etc.

Cons: Some parts of the case feel cheaply made. For example the temp sensor seems loosely put together. After about 2 years the light on my temp sensor is not working anymore but the sensor and display still works.

Other Thoughts: I've had this case for about three years now and the only real issue I've had is the light on the temp sensor going out, but that was an easy fix I just pulled the shaded cover off so I could see the temperature display, although it doesn't light up anymore its sill looks good. All in all very pleased with this case and I plan on using it for many years to come.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Beautiful case with lights. Love the design and colors. It's great looking if you want something to look good on the outside, while running awesome on the inside. Nicely spaced inside. Pretty straight forward layout.

Placed the temp monitor in the perfect spot between the CPU and GPU.

Cons: While a huge case compared to my previous, I did run into an issue with my CPU heat sink and the giant side fan. I couldn't have both... so I simply removed the big blue fan much to my dismay.

One of the fans that came with it is bummed. Constantly ticks once it gets up to speed. A bearing seems to be off inside. Simple enough fix. Replaced it with a nice blue LED to make up for the one I had to take out.

Other Thoughts: This was my first computer build, had a brother of a co-worker guide me through it. I might have run into some issues trying by myself, but with help it was a blast and really easy with this case.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful case

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks amazing! Awesome airflow with 5 included fans. Temperature LCD is great.

Cons: 2 spots where the width of the case could pose clearance problems...the 1st is the cpu fan/heatsink..the 2nd is if the power connector for you graphics card is on the side of it it's a tight fit. Both of these issues may require removing the awesome huge led fan on the side. No eggs lost for this because if you want huge hardware then get a full tower!

Other Thoughts: Perfect case for MID TOWER sized components.

2 out of 5 eggsNot my sweet Dream

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Nice looking case and colors. Price was right. Came with 5 fans including large neon lit fan inside plastic case on the left side. Also included a handy 3/16 inch hand held socket to help screw in the MB stand offs.

Cons: First of all this case is just too small to accomodate today's components. The video card I am using is an EVGA GTX 760. No that big. But very little room for cables around the end of it. The biggest problem is the huge fan in the plastic window. runs smack dab into the power cables on the 760. Try using a video card with power connections on the end instead of the top. I see no solution but to send it back and try a different case. All they had to do was to add an inch or two in each direction, and there would be room for my build. I never got to the SLI video cards. No room with that fan.OK Last annoying problem is the second CD-Rom door sticks open when you try to insert a CD.

Other Thoughts: I really liked the looks of this case on my tv screen while I looked for a new case. But it just didn't live up to my expectations.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case!

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good space management, this include enough space for the large video cards, love the location of the 3 usbs (1, 3.0) in front on the top of the case rather then the bottom. There is also good fan placement for great cooling, great lighting effects and temp display as well.

Cons: Case feels a little flimsy/weak on the sides, made out of cheap materiel and the front 3.0 usb came in offset from the case mold, no biggy I simply realigned it with some tools.

The one thing that bothers me truly is the cable management, because the power supply is at the bottom, all the cables just dangle down the side of the case. This especially leads to an issues when you install a fan at the bottom of the case and the cables just fall right into the fan... of course some cable ties fixed this but it's still not pretty looking in there.

I've always bought this brand of case and they continue to improve on it with every model, the small cons of this case would not stop me from buying another one in the near future!

5 out of 5 eggsThis case and I go way back

This review is from: APEVIA X-DREAMER4 Series X-DREAMER4-AL Silver Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Let me say first that I have always been a dreamer User. from way back 10 years ago. and thier cases have always been sturdy and been strong. I bought this unit to just update from my old case when was really rebuilding my cpu and gotta say its very clean. strong. sleek. and well made.

Cons: I would never knock off a egg but thier are a few minor things to note.

1. Gotta measure and find the right heat sink becuase space is tight with the fan on the side.
2. Hard drive was tricky but figured out it went other side.

Other than those two small things this case has very good cooling and keeps my Asus 780 GTX solid at 60 c granted the card does run very cool. everything in my system runs cool. and this is with crysis running at ultra. Not to shabby. and yes I did alot of over clocking.
