5 out of 5 eggsRead me

Pros: Not only does the case look good but it works. The only thing I found a little strange was there aren't any lights behind the power button but that wouldn't justify anything lower rating wise. The case keeps my all my stuff cool so I never have to worry about it.

Cons: The Window panel doesn't actually swing open but that doesn't matter.

2 out of 5 eggsits ok

Pros: let me say that the looks of this case are what caught my eye, its a great looking case and its huge. plenty of space to work with. i like all the options for the fans. gauges are cool addition.

Cons: the only issue i have is the gauge lights. this is the second unit i have gotten from newegg. the first one the led lights on the gauges started blinking and then went out about a week after i got it setup. i got this one from newegg back in march and the gauge lights are starting to blink again. i know they will eventually go out just like the other case did. its a shame because this case is not even six months old i guess its a defect or something. the light strips on the top and bottom have a very dim lime green light to them. it looks like they do not work at all they are so dim. they are a much different color that the fan.

Other Thoughts: i dont think i would have brought the case if i had know i would have had this problem. i contacted apevia about the issue and they jut told me that the lights on the gauges are not supposed to blink. that was all. no solutions or any other info was sent back to me. and i did send them a detailed email about the problem. over all i felt it was a bad product and a mistake since both of the cases that were sent to me have the same issue.

3 out of 5 eggsnot too bad

Pros: It a some what good looking and small case... does fit large video card like the gtx770, fans are quiet, has good room.

Cons: The green led lighting on the top and bottom front door does not work, either did the audio outputs of the sound on the front of case top..

Other Thoughts: It would be really ridiculous to RMA this case after everything was installed up and running. I purchased one of these cases about 4 years ago and the front volt light went out on it. So lighting is very spectacle on these company cases just beware of that.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Spacious, Convenient

Pros: Quiet. Spacious interior. Smooth front panel design with well lit gauge cluster, featuring a VU meter (top) which measures sound output, Temperature meter (middle), and Fan Speed meter (bottom). Convenient top facing ports and fans.

Cons: Front panel door does not swing open enough to allow easy access to disc tray, meaning you have to hold it open while opening and closing the disc tray. Not a con in my opinion, just the only inconvenience.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I love the aesthetics of the case. The green LED's are really a really nice touch to the overall look. The various gauges on the front give you a good indication as to what is going on in the computer. The case comes with five fans in the case that are all whisper quiet. Even when I have the fan gauge at max speed, I can barely hear this thing, and it's about twelve inches away from me.

Cons: Nothing about the design of this case is conducive for building computers. There is only one slot for an SSD, so if you want additional ones, you have to purchase a converter rack to make it fit in one of the 3½ inch bays.

There are these little metal covers that cover the unused expansion bays on the front and back of the case. On other cases, these covers are held in place with screws, so that they can be taken on and off at will. The covers on this case are designed to be snapped off, so once you remove them the first time, the bay is exposed forever.

As another reviewer said, the front panel the covers the front expansion bays does not lock in place at the ninety degree angle. So if you are trying to access an optical drive, you have to hold the panel open the entire the disc is being loaded and unloaded so that it does not bang into the front panel.

There is a large 200mm fan that is mounted on to the side of the open window that I had to remove because the heat sink I got was too large to fit in the case with the fan installed.. To be fair, this was lack of foresight on my part, but I'm still bitter about it.

Other Thoughts: This was my first custom PC build, I went purely with aesthetics for the case, something that I will never do again. The case is very slick looking, and looks dang good on my desk, but you can tell it was designed for merely that. This was not designed to be user friendly at all.

1 out of 5 eggsNice looking but defective hinge

Pros: Nice looking case

Cons: I purchased this case and am disappointed on the build quality of the front hinge. Defective from factory as the packing was good. The case opens all right but should lock at the 90 degree angle so your cd/dvds drive can open without banging into the front. I am tired of sending parts back and getting burned on the shipping back and risking another lashing on shipping.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure what I'm going to do with this case, send it back and order another? or order from a different manufacture? or just live with it and never order another item from Apevia

Manufacturer Response:

You can do an RMA through us for the front door to get an exchange on it if you are still under our warranty period. You can contact Apevia's customer service at or call at (909) 718-0789. We try to reply to all calls and e-mails as soon as we can.
