5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: * Roomy
* Easy access
* Laid out well
* Solid
* Excellent airflow and fan layout

I have had this case for 5 years now and it has preformed admirably.

Cons: Over the 5 years I have had 2 minor problems: Fan bearings went out in top fans and USB connections on the top/ front panel became loose.

Cons: not enough usb ports on the front top of the case

Other Thoughts: other thoughts:
*heavy - this thing is a beast to move around
*may need filter for your intake fans

4 out of 5 eggslove it

Pros: Attractive case not over bright and the front looks pretty bad with the blue line lights. I like the mesh dust covers and hdd activity light.

Cons: No space for wire hiding, there's a little gap needs to be about an inch deeper only con and top doesn't have removable fan dust covers

Other Thoughts: I love this case just wish I could easily hide wires, my front led broke after about a year and they easily shipped new wire light strip, whoever is complaining about the company whatever, maybe relax and talk to the proper channels.

4 out of 5 eggsBest case I've owned

Pros: * Very roomy inside
* Built with liquid cooling in mind, even a double length radiator will fit up top
* Bottom mounted PSU
* Lots of bays
* LOTS of air flow
* Easy to clean!!!
* Great combination of form and function
* Best of all, no silly swinging front plate!
* Bottom intake, if a bit small.

Cons: Little on the large side. While for me this isn't so much of a problem I can see how it might be for some.

With all the air this thing draws through it, it can mean having to clean it a bit more often. This is especially true for me as for some reason our house has a ton of dust......sigh, and a LOT of pet hair :(

The biggest CON is that apparently I got the last one in stock as it's now on the discontinued list!!!

Other Thoughts: My cons aren't really so much cons as just the down sides of the pros IMO. The case really is a well done model considering the price. IMO it's the best bang for the buck out there.....but I also freely admit I've not tried a bunch of the more modern cases.

It's a nice, roomy case with a TON of airflow. It's liquid cooling ready for almost any configuration. I especially like that the top is ready to mount the longer radiators. I personally also like the fact that the front grill work is easy to clean and not bogged down with the "fluff" accent work so many other manufacturers put on their cases.

It has a bottom draw vent for chimney draw and it even has a filter in place there too. The only problem with this is that it doesn't sit very high off the ground on the foot pegs. So this means that unless you have a hardwood floor or something similar (i.e. smooth and flat), then it's moot. I have carpet so, the vent hole is not going to be functional. I have to just find a board or something to sit it on.

This is the second of these cases for me. My first one is the older model with the unpainted insides that I have my file server running on upstairs. I was very impressed with it and so when it came time to finally upgrade my gaming rig I looked around a lot, but eventually came back to this case.

I really hope that NewEgg picks these up again.

I would, and have, suggested this product to others. I think it's a great product for the price.

Pros: None

Cons: Front leds went after 3 months. One of the top fans went after 1 year. Power switch went after 18 months, have to remove motherboard to replace.

Other Thoughts: Cheap and nasty.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow-up Review

Pros: After more than a year this case still rocks, temps are all still low even though I need to clean out the dust filters. All the fans and their LEDs still work.

Cons: I broke both of the LEDs for the front strips and I broke one of the plastic pegs off the front panel. But this can be avoided if you are careful. Also, for whatever reason the USB port on the left front panel has never worked...

Other Thoughts: A great case, but you'd be better off getting the Tempest EVO.

3 out of 5 eggsCan a case be too big?

Pros: Stunning and sleek case with more than enough room for many large components. Case construction is very durable. Excellent airflow from the fans, which are very quiet considering their number, and the case is always cool to cold to the touch. Port selection is adequate, and I like their placement at the top of the case near the shelf; makes it easy and convenient to set an external HD, camera, or other portable device nearby.

Cons: For my personal needs, this case is too big, bulky, & heavy. I should have paid better attention to the measurements before I made the purchase. This thing won't fit in my computer cabinet, which is a huge bummer (no eggs deducted). There are many other cases available that appear to offer similar amenities that are a couple of inches smaller. In my opinion, this case would be ideal for use as a small server. Case came with a 3.5 bay converter tray, which seems to be designed to accommodate floppy drives & not media card readers, at least not the ones I tried. The orientation of the screw holes would not allow me to attach a 3.5 media card reader, so I had to pick up a sleeve for the card reader to make it work. Also, the power button clips broke after a few months of use. The button began to push back into the system and I had to continually get into the system to push the button back out. I let NZXT know & they sent me a new switch, but what a bi*ch to take apart & switch out.

Other Thoughts: Unless you're specifically looking for a very HUGE case, or are building a micro server and don't plan on moving your system around very much, I would suggest going elsewhere. There are tons of cases in this class that are a bit smaller that offer the benefits this Tempest case does.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Very nice mid-size case. Fits everything beautifully and the raise motherboard tray helps hide wires. Plenty of room, can seat 6-9 hard-drives or 3 hard-drives and 6 optical drives.

Even while running process demanding games I rarely hear the case. Very, very nice case, a high recommendation. It even allows water cooling options.

Cons: The left LED strip went out on me after a few months but that shouldn't be too bad of a fix. While the case is sturdy I feel every time I push the power button it's going to collapse.

Other than those small things, nothing.

Other Thoughts: Good LED lights, very clear window. I'm very happy with this case.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely amazing...

Pros: Lots of room.
The front panel cables are long enough to wrap around to where needed.
The motherboard tray is far enough off the wall to hide wires
The fans...there's six of em and it's quiet...
Hard drive bays and separation

Cons: None so far...

5 out of 5 eggs:)

Pros: I like this tower a lot. It has lots of fans and I've really only had to dust it out twice since I got it. (Last April.) I like the blue lights and it is pretty quiet for the amount of fans it is running. You just have to watch what you put near it. Having any drinks near it is probably NOT a good idea.

Cons: Internal drives seem to fit in it funny. My CD/DVD RW slides back and forth and the internal card reader I got wouldn't fit in the place it should have.

Other Thoughts: It looks super cool. :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case overall.

Pros: -Very roomy
-Large side panel window
-Includes 6 fans
-Blue LED panels on the front
-Provides great airflow while still being very quiet.
-Bottom mounted PSU
-Holes for cable management.
-Fits almost every type of motherboard.

Cons: -Some of the plastic components are a little flimsy (including the power and reset switches)
-The front fans' LEDs are not as bright as I had hoped

Other Thoughts: Overall a great case, one of the best computer purchases I have ever made. They could have made the HDD LED blue, but it doesn't bother me enough to make it a "con".
