Extended Review
- Pros: I have had this case for approx. 6 months and it definitely has pros and cons. It has a very large interior if you have a lot of components and a large CPU cooler that require the room. The three fans that 'blow' over the entire MoBo helps keep temps down if you rely on air cooling. One of the best cable management cases to keep things neat, but without a window it may not be that important. If you water cool, lots of room for tubing etc. I would recommend this more if you invest in water cooling as there a number of areas where you lose wind flow with air cooling - see side vents. Overall it is a great looking case inside and out.
- Cons: If I were to hold a contest to design the worst side door attach/detach system, I would design this one. If you are in and out of your case on a regular basis you will hate the latches on this one. The front mesh on the fans are a nuisance as they restrict airflow and are hard to clean due to the difficult access. I would have preferred a more visible window option as the vents give a limited view and work against a 'tunnel' air cooling system (it allows air to leak instead of forming a proper tunnel). They did cheap out on the screws and attachement system for the three fans on the interior - it creates a rather flimsy fan holder.
- Other Thoughts: This is a very good case and I know I have pointed out several negatives. But this is based on price versus design and value which is what I have based the score on. I am not nitpicking and I am intelligent/bright enough not to spend all of my money on my case (see below) and purchase mid-range components. And for $400++they should have included cable extenders but for those that are less educated that concept may be beyond reach. Based on your hardware choices, I think I know more about computers than you could ever hope to know.
Phenomenal Case
- Pros: Welcome to the last case you will ever buy. This case is perfect, it has it all. It supports dual power supplies so you don't have to buy $300 psus that go out in a year, it has amazing airflow and scalability. Plenty of room for everything. I have dual gtx 260s in my case WITH the mid-chasis fan rack, there is plenty of room. The case itself is solidly built of heavy gauge aluminum, high quality craftsmanship.

System specs: Asus M3N-HT Mempipe/deluxe, 8gb corsair ram running at 1066MHz, AMD Phenom II 940 oc'd to 3.6GHz, dual BFG gtx 260s, x64 vista ultimate. Under load in this new case my cpu temp doesn't go over 44 C
- Other Thoughts: The people who whine and nitpick this case are all around not very bright and obviously know next to nothing about computers. If you research this case and look at the photos you OBVIOUSLY buy cable extenders in the event you might need them. Cable extenders = $5. Anytime you have a case with the power supply on the bottom, you buy cable extenders just in case.
Not the Best Option Out There
- Pros: The case has a number of great features that really made the system build a breeze. There were a number of ‘cut-outs’ that allowed you to neatly route your cables and make them virtually unseen and out of the way (if you take your time). The interior is massive compared to my old Stacker 830 which also helped with the install. The double PSU bay is a great feature as it allows you to use the old PSUs you have kicking around and works great.
- Cons: The cons are not massive, but for a $400 case they should have been handled better. I liked the idea of the 3 fans positioned directly in front of the MoBo but it has 3 tiny screws holding it on one side which allows a lot of movement. The black powder coat for the case already had a few wear marks out of the box. The drop down MoBo tray is a great idea..until you realize that it will not go back up with a large CPU cooler like the Tuniq (insert swear words here). The fan filters on the front fans and front fan mesh cage restrict the airflow down to a light breeze at best (even with a high end fan). The fans that come with the case are useless as usual. Also, the distance from the PSU to the 8 pin MoBo connection is going to require an extension of some sort (insert swear words for the disconnecting a lot of connections so I could reposition PSU so that cable would reach – barely).
- Other Thoughts: If this case was $250 it would have received 5 stars. It is still a great case but if I had to do it over, I would have gone with the Stacker 830 again. If you require a case with a ton of room and can hold a lot of HDDs, this is a good option. Otherwise, I would keep looking.
