5 out of 5 eggsBest case iv ever owned

Pros: Well the reason I decided to write this review was because I recently sat down to clean this bad boy out after about 3 months. One of my main reasons for this purchase was the little filters on the bottom and front. They work AMAZINGLY. The inside of my case is more or less dust free because of these bad boys. As well as the nice big window on the side. Very spacious as well with enough room for my Swifttech H220.

-Amazing dust control :p
-Very spacious
-very nice for cable management
-Also aesthetically pleasing (doesnt look like an alien space ship)

Cons: I dont have many cons for this honestly, When I received this case one of the plastic clips was broken on the top piece. That doesnt really effect anything for me as i dont have the case mounted upside down or have a jet turbine blowing up from the inside so I never bothered to get it replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsBig, Beautiful and Bold

Pros: This case is huge, even after reading the dimensions before buying it doesn't really strike how big this tower is until you pull it out of the box and see it with your own eyes but big is what I wanted. Make my ATX MOBO look tiny. I have very large hands and this case has so much room to work in that I was able to assemble this computer with ease.

Air flow is amazing in this case, I have a total of 14 fans in this case (10 140mm case fans, 2 120mm CPU fans, 1 GPU fan and 1 140mm PSU fan) and this case runs cooler then any case I have EVER owned and quieter. This case includes a fan hub that runs 7 fans which is a great option, but I opted not to use it. Instead I used 2 NZXT fan controller to have more direct control over my fans. Also wanted to add that the 2 fans on the HDD cages can be angle to improve airflow directed at your video cards, this is a huge plus in my book.

Cable management in this case is wonderful. This the First case I have ever owned with built in cable management integrated into it, all other cases I have owned I had to Custom mod for cable Management. It is a truly wonderful thing and saved me hours on my build.

Dust filters on this case are a blessing, there again this is also the first case I have owned with dust filters and it's amazing. I have been building computer for about 20 years and wonder why they never thought of these 20 years ago lol.

the window in this case is perfect, you can see all the components that you want to see, but hides all the ones that you don't.

The LED lighting on the rear of the case is a brilliant idea, makes hooking up wire in low or no light a breeze.

This cause is truly wonderful case, it fulfills all my air cooling plus has all the options I would ever need if I choose to water cool my system.

Bottom line if you don't mind the size then I would recommend this case to anyone.

Cons: Though this case is close to perfect, there are still i few items that I believe NZXT could improve.

The door to the front USB port is very stiff and hard to open.

The tool less design is a great concept but the was far to much play in the 5.25 bay for my optical drive and fan controllers that I still had to screw them down. On the other they got the tool less system for the HDD working perfectly.

The cable management in this case is great but I would have loved to see a few more tie down points closer to the HDD cages, would have made running cables in this are a lot easier.

Raised Feet options for this case would be greatly beneficial as it would greatly increase air flow through the bottom of the case. Also for those who would have no other option but to set this case on a carpeted floor would have greatly decreased air flow.

though these are cons in my books, but this case is a wonderful and well design piece of equipment and deserves 5 eggs, as they do not hinder performance or functionality in anyway and would not sway me from recommending this case to anyone else.

Other Thoughts: This case is very stylist and stealthy. Very Appeasing to the eye.

Also a Personal recommendation to anyone who would be using this case as it is very large and a bit on the heavy side I would recommend taking the front and top panel off the case before moving the case as they cant be opened fairly easily and the tabs could potentially be broken. I found this much easier for me anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case and customer care

Pros: Lots of space
Easy access
Good wire management
Filters an filters are easy to clean
Study
Will take an Extended ATX motherboard
Great customer care.
Hot swap bay

Cons: My wife and kids thought I went overboard, but they got over it.

Other Thoughts: The investment was a bit high but the return makes it worth the initial cost. I've got 3 radiators, 2 pumps, 10 fans, 1 large power supply, 2 video cards, all the plumbing, a sound card, a couple of add on cards. If it is in the case and it can be water cooled, then it is water cooled. I can still work on anything in the case without bumping or removing parts. Ok, so that's what I love about the case.
Now, let me tell you about NZXT, the company. I needed to change the cooling water and while draining the system I laid the case on its back without removing the case side panel slide screws and snapped the plastic assembly. My heart fell and I felt stupid. After contacting NZXT, to my surprise, a new slide screw assembly set arrived in the mail. All I did was send an email. I've bought various cases over the years, just about every brand in the entire price range. Because of their act of kindness and good products, I'm sticking with NZXT. I've got NZXT fan controllers, card readers, cables, USB terminals ... and I have never had to return anything or found anything defective. This case is worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case!

Pros: Lots of room to work, able to fit anything I would ever want in it.
Great Airflow design - gotta love how every fan mount is 140 or 120mm, perfect if you have spare 120s laying around.
Cable management is just about as perfect as you can get.
Looks great! The color is that perfect dark but not pitch black color.
That little ~6inch extension cable for the CPU pin is great, The Corsair TX650 could /just/ reach the Mobo, but that extension makes it much easier.

Cons: Might be too big for some people, easily dwarves my case, so make sure you have the room wherever you will put it.

Paint job is kinda cheap. This may be caused by my next con, but a bit of one corner of the side panel's paint chipped off.

The side panels are a little difficult to remove. The mechanism seems fine, its just it needs a bit more tug, then I am used to. It also not the easiest to put back on.

The hotswap bay is a bit harder to cable to then I would have liked. It requires a Molex rather then SATA which makes a bit inconvenient since otherwise you would only need 1 molex cable for the whole thing (fan hub) I would have liked if the connection was like the LED in the back since that is a SATA connection on a little cable.

Other Thoughts: I used this for my friends new computer and it looks great, it was great to work in. The LED button to illuminate the back is a godsend! Specially since this thing is too big and heavy to easily move around.
I love how all the fan mounts are 140/120mm since I had 2 spare 120s laying around.

If I were to suggest 3 things, it would be:
1) Move the top 140mm fan that comes with the thing to the front. I personally prefer more intake then outtake which the default setup does not have.
2) Get a modular power supply... Even with all the extra room to hide things (and believe me there is plenty) It might make it easier to plan the route the cables will take. If you like my friend do still have an octopus, don't worry it's still easy to work with.
3) Use twist ties not zip ties... We decided to move the fan to the front and it was quite difficult to cut one tie, so save yourself a future headache.

5 out of 5 eggsGreatest Case Ever

Pros: This case was amazing, shipped perfectly with no damage. NZXT did a great job on this one. Can hold 10 140mm or 120mm fans for extreme liquid cooling.

Cons: Cost me money

Other Thoughts: If you want to liquid cool but dont want to eat your wallet go with this. Its not overkill like a 900D but it gets more than the job done. I havent experimented with liquid cooling yet because im upgrading my cpu soon.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic case not only for gamers

Pros: - large, spacious, well designed interior with excellent cable management features. Cables can be passed through the back plane, to allow easy connectivity to the hard drives in 2 main HD bays from the back.

- excellent airflow, with very quiet but efficient fans

- top of the case accommodates radiators of liquid CPU coolers like Zalman or Thermaltake with an extra fan, and has the top cover constructed in a way that it can be partially open, improving airflow.

- dedicated SSD drive bay, with metal frame allowing to mount an SSD directly to it, and connect to a SATA data/power connector on the back of the frame, which on the other side is connected by SATA data cable from the motherboard and old-style Molex connector as power

- plastic HD bay inserts to allow at least 6 hard drives to be put into the case without any screws needed (they have their own challenges though)

- bottom plastic covers with nets, allowing removal for easy cleaning of dust

- back panel inside has a very useful cable hub, obtaining power from a single Molex connector, and providing power to the case's 3 silent fans without the need to plug those fans into the motherboard chassis fan connectors

- hard drive activity light on top of the case, near the Power button, seems to be designed well - its location and shape are much better visible than a small LED somewhere in front of the case.

- location of the power supply is on the bottom, and it accommodates all power supplies - from 850W to 1,250W. Of course using a modular PSU is a no-brainer.

- accommodates many different formats of motherboards. It accomodated

- 2 year warranty.

Cons: - side acrylic window not really necessary if the parts inside the case have few or none neon lights. (the only good side is you can see the motherboard's diagnostic codes without having to take the side panel off).

- plastic parts are glossy and particularly susceptible to getting smeared with fingers and minor scratching

- front bottom cover a little flimsy, easy to remove, but it's too easy to do this accidentally.

- the plastic part for hard drive bays include a bracket that is supposed to be used as the front to a DVD/BluRay drive, unfortunately the eject button on it doesn't interface well with most of DVD/BluRay drives I know and is non functional in most cases.

- the SSD dedicated bay, the metal frame, and the connector (on one side SATA data+power, on the other side SATA data + Molex power) turned out to be faulty in at least 1 case.

- case screws are a disappointment - I would think that the screws not requiring the use of a screwdriver would be identical across all the case - for tightening side panels on the back of the case, for using internal back panel slots for devices like video cards, and the ones used with HD bays and the SSD mounting frame. They are not identical, which causes some confusion.

- despite the photo on the box showing white cases, it's a black case. but why does it need to have white fans? just to keep things consistent it should have black fans.

- a little heavy. I realize it's not a full aluminum Lian-Li, but it could use some weight to be lighter than 31 lb, maybe at least 5 lbs.

All these make me give the case 1 star less than I would like.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case from another merchant. Was so happy with it, made it a part of my recommendations to my boss for "technology refresh" of developers workstations, currently being refurbished Dell Precision T3500, T5500, and T7500.

There were 7 sets of components for the workstations that were ordered (from a different vendor than Newegg because Newegg isn't always the cheapest place and some other vendors are just as reputable - based on my recent experiences with Newegg's promotions throwing price list into chaos, making the prices unpredictable within in a week or two, which was a time frame for making a decision and purchasing hardware by my boss), so I specifically recommended to my boss that Newegg wasn't the best place to buy, especially in the light of my recent non-Eggxelent buying experience). My advice to my boss was to spend $15,000 somewhere else because other places had more stable, predictable prices, and not as chaotic and unexpectedly changing as Newegg has made it, fully well aware that customers can shop around and see all the Newegg's tricks to submit Web visitors into impulse buys for items costing $700 and more. I'm not falling into this practice, and see that Newegg has worse prices than a few other equally reputable vendors, and when I informed Newegg I know their dirty tricks and find other vendors more reliable and trustworthy, nothing changed.
The monitor that Newegg lists at $699.99 most of the time, periodically and unpredictably dropping the price to $659.99, is still more than $619 to $624 you pay for the same monitor somewhere else, and they don't change their prices the way that Newegg does.

I've been buying from Newegg for 13 years, but I can tell they are losing the competitive edge, and the customer support is no better than other places.

Our developers love the cases, their look (black), excellent airflow, and very quiet operation with all fans running.

Configuration:
Case - NZXT SWITHCH 810 Gun-Metal Black ATX Full Tower,
Motherboard - ASUS P9XS79 WS
CPU - Intel Core i7-3930K
CPU Cooling - Zalman Liquid CPU Cooler
RAM - 32GB of Corsair Vengeance (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 (with motherboard having an extra 4 memory slots for another 32GB upgrade in the future, with total of 64GB)
Video - MSI ATI Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1024MB GDDR5
Storage - Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series 256GB (boot drive)
Storage - Toshiba 3TB 7,200rpm 64MB cache SATA 6Gbps (secondary drive)
Power Supply - Thermaltake 1000W
Monitor - Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM (27", 2,560x1,440 resolution)

I managed to put together my first 2 machines completely within 1 hour each, and 3rd machine in 45 minutes. It's a very good time, compared to almost all other PC cases I used when assembling computers since 1996.

4 out of 5 eggsSwitch 810

Pros: There is so much space in this case. Room for whatever the heck you would want to put in there. Stock fans do just fine in my experience, I bought a 212 evo for my cpu and have it blow right out through the rear fan. Temps around 75C in prime95 for a couple hours. It makes cable management as easy as it can be. You also get a nice window to be able to see all your sexy hardware.

The vent on the top, while somewhat cheap, is a nice feature. My rig doesn't produce a huge amount of noise anyway, so I leave it open when in heavy use and close it when i'm doing light work just so dust doesn't get in.

Easily accessible dust filters will be appreciated in the future I would imagine.

Bunch o' USB ports and micro SD reader on the front,

Cons: Hot Swap bay didn't work for me. This is my first build I did 100% by myself so it is possible I could have been doing something wrong. However the symptoms were as follows:

-Windows saw the drive in the hot swap bay
-Claimed that it needed to be formatted for it to be used
-Windows format would never progress/finish
-I would cancel and the drive would be gone
-Reboot and do it over again, never got it to work.

It's not a necessity, I got my 3HDs in the bays anyway, but it would have been nice. Wish I got a 100% functional case but hey, I wouldn't really use it anyway so no hard feelings, just... c'mon man.

Other Thoughts: Not a fan of the power button placement, would have liked it on the front instead of top, but that's just nitpicking.

Didn't read the manual except for the motherboard connections, so this might be in there, but the standoffs and screws are in the lower HD bay, took me a while to find. Panicked a bit as I thought I might have thrown them out with the box.

Would by this again in a heartbeat.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good.

Pros: Plenty of space to work in.

Feels solid in most areas. LED Light on the backpanel is kind of neat.

Reset button is great.

Cons: The window doesn't feel extremely sturdy, but overall it's fine.

The vents on top are held on by pushing it down until it pops into place, I frequently knock it loose on accident. No big deal though.

Other Thoughts: After about 5 months, 2 of the fans started making a very loud and obnoxious rattling noise. I assume it was the bearings going bad or something along those lines.

I sent an email to NZXT and then responded the next day asking for a couple of details. I told them what was happening and they promptly sent me new fans.

Great company to deal with so far.

5 out of 5 eggsFast customer support response

Pros: Great airflow
Plenty of room behind the motherboard tray

Cons: Velcro on the fan hub sucks.

Other Thoughts: I had to contact support over a issue with the hot swap bay and had heard that support was not great but I had a response within a hour.
