5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Massive, will definitely fit everything and more
- Pretty sturdy
- Looks amazing
When I bought this case I knew it was going to be huge but when it got here huge was a understatement, it is MASSIVE. Definitely capable of holding a lot of hardware while keeping airflow solid or if your into liquid cooling it certainly has room for that.
The case itself is made from metal so it feels and looks sturdy which is a nice thing to have for a case.
Outside the phantom 820 looks amazing and will certainly compliment the looks of my MB and GPU when I get them put in. I wish I could comment on the Led lighting features but unfortunately I don't have all the parts to get that up and running but it is certainly a cool feature.
P.S. - Love the fact that they have removable filters for the intake fans, this will make dust maintenance a lot easier.

Cons: I found the instruction manual that came with the case very lacking in information, it not enough to remove an egg but you might need to search the interwebs to find out stuff.
The hard drive trays seem a bit flimsy to me so you might want to be careful with them.

Other Thoughts: Another thing I found was the large mass of cables inside the case when you open it up. I wouldn't consider this a con as they are nicely labeled so it easy to find out where they need to go but it isn't exactly a pro ether. They also have them all nicely zip tied down in the side panel which is a plus but it might mean you'll have to cut them to move the cables else where.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is amazing. Looks awesome, huge, cool lighting on the exterior and interior with the ability to change colors, TONS of included fans as well as dust filters for every possible fan slot and overall makes your build look like a monster. If your a fan of alienware, this case in its own way represents a similar style on its exterior. I highly recommend this case to anyone looking for an alternative to expensive cases such as the Cosmos 2.

Cons: None. Although, Instructions are terrible and took me some time to figure out how to get the fans and LEDs to work but all u need to do is to connect the huge 4 pin power connecter on the cable management side to the power supply to operate the fan controller, and hook up the sata connector also found on the cable management side to operate the LEDs and lighthing. Also, no dust filter for the side fan. These points are not worth deducting eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsThis case is byond large

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: I like all the room and it does give it the appearance that the case is a monster like it's specs; but this is just crazy.

Cons: This case is much larger then any normal consumer would need. If you are not doing heavy modding with your rig I would suggest something smaller.

Other Thoughts: This case is so large I have decided to go in the complete opposite direction towards mid tower range. H440 is what I will be getting next. Something that can fit everything well but still be a nice look and feel to it.

3 out of 5 eggsAll and A very good case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: As all the reviews say this case is big has plenty of room and very good airflow cable management is top notch the lighting in the case is very good the hue option to change the colors of the lighting is brilliant the fan speed controls on the top are very nice it's very easy to build a very good looking clean system with this case

Cons: I just finished my custom liquid loop in this case, I used a 360 radiator which according to their specs should have fit no problem in a push/pull configuration well after a lot of grinding cutting drilling modding I did get it to work and it does look brilliant but it was very difficult

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case and it's huge!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Big case so LOTS of room... Almost put my bed in it... nice cable management options, fan controller is very nice, you can select different zones to get the air where you need it, fans included are really nice... big and very quiet, lighting effects are great and near fully customizable, dust screens on it are great for anyone who has it on the floor not that this beast will go anywhere else easy lol

Cons: Not many, only real problem I found was the front panel audio jacks didn't work we'll they gave a lot of feedback for me and this would be the second NZXT case I have to do that, but I just use the motherboard connections and problem solved. Other than that, the fact the computer doesn't assemble it's self is ridiculous....

Other Thoughts: If NZXT could nail the audio problem this would be gold and I look forward to seeing their next innovations, keep up the good work NZXT!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's great when you're building a pc with a case that is designed for space, customization, and water cooling. I was pleasantly surprised with the pre-mounted ATX motherboard standoffs, and perfectly matched radiator holes. There's more than enough room for air cooling, and everything is pretty much spelled out for you when it comes to where to put water cooling supplies.

Cons: The advertised dimensions. They say you can mount a 60mm triple 120mm radiator at the top of the case, while realistically it's 45-50mm without the fans, even when you remove the top bay drive mounts. It isn't really a con because everyone should measure twice before they pull the trigger on any component, but it's just something to think about.

Other Thoughts: Don't be hesitant because of the price. It's well worth the $, solid case.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is great, it's very spacious for tons of cable management. It has many PCI expansion slots, as well as many mounts for different sized fans, not to mention you're given the ability to be able to control them directly, which is to say it helps save space on the motherboard for more important pwm fans like a radiator.

Cons: Depending on your preferences this case is extremely large, I had to buy a new computer desk to compensate and accommodate for its massive size. Also, it is very heavy by itself, and one you finish adding all your components it ends up being very, very heavy (I'd say anywhere from 35-50lbs depending on how what you're adding.

5 out of 5 eggsWelcome to my fantasy

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 820 Series CA-PH820-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is so beautiful. When you look up the word aesthetics you are inevitably presented at some point with pictured of beautiful lithe women. The case is huge, but it has curves in all the write places. Assembling your components is so easy and fun to boot because for once there was no squeezing in to cramped places. No tight spots that a lot of cases have and end up with you cursing under your breath. Instead, for me at least, it was how beautiful can I make the cables and wiring. The fans that are included are already hooked up and ready to go. In fact they give you more extra wires for fans than there are spots to hold them. I had been researching cases for months, and like almost everything I buy for my computer I read, and read until I know the product inside and out. I was moving out of an NZXT Apollo metallic chrome case that was six years old. It is a pretty case, but no cable management at all. It is also a midsized case, and the Cooler master hyper 212 Evo I purchased after dropping in a new AMD fx-8350 because the sound of the stock fan was driving me crazy just barely fit. It fit with some creative Dremmel work. When I had the evo on the older case it was much quitter and kept temps down to 51-52 C. This new case was built to make sure people like me never have to worry about issues like this. In fact, with cables out of the way and a cougar in the first slot on the bottom blowing up and the tilt-able device with another cougar angled up it seems like it was designed just for me. Playing any game all out or running Prime 95 makes no discernable difference in sound, and the temp never goes over 38 C, but I read that the Intel burn in was the real test. That I could expect 20 C degrees more in heat running this savage program. So I got it set up and could only put on the setting right under max since I only have 16 GB of ram. Once again, sound wise you would never know the machine was under load, and better it topped out at 45 C and wouldn’t budge after that. This is all thanks to the airflow dynamics of this case. The HUE color system is wonderful, and I have the fans maxed out. I would turn them up if I could since they are so quiet. Inspired I have begun my quest of perfecting it. Bought some Red cables to match the Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard, but I am having a problem finding some 140 mm red bladed fans. Juts not sure I want to go red led. I can’t find any color changing led fans either.

Cons: I haven't had anything break on me, and I just found out I can order a fuller windowed side panel from NZXT for only $30.

Other Thoughts: I get a warm happy feeling just looking at the monster sitting on top of my desk on the corner. I put a small 2x4 inch magnet of Frankenstein's monster on the side panel. It says it all.
