5 out of 5 eggsBest Case EVER

Pros: I love this case. Watching the video of the lady next to me sold it for me. I was looking for a LARGE, good looking case for future upgrades. This was the one that I just loved after looking at 100s of cases!

Cons: not sure how the new version, with one less fan, and less metal, but more platic cost more than this one?

Other Thoughts: Buy this one! not the window version. You get more for less and it won't let you down. Has the perfect amount of everything, USB ports, cards, head phones, slots, etc. Very happy with this case. Great cable management too!

5 out of 5 eggsNZXT Phantom 630

Pros: The best case i've own, has a lot of room for cable management and water cooling. Read other reviews about this case and its HDD cage screw holes not aligning and the cage being flimsy. My phantom case came with no problems, everything was align and perfect.

Cons: The only con i can thing of is the matte black is finger magnet.

Other Thoughts: The case is very heavy with out the components 34 pounds and with the components it got up to 79 pounds. The case was hard to pick up after i put everything inside the case. I am very happy with my purchase and i would buy an NZXT product in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsPhantom 640 Case

Pros: Large size (interior room),
Modularity of HDD bays and ease of adjustment to need,
Backside of MB has ample room for cable management,
Ample fan arrangement and cooling capabilities,

Cons: Instruction book lacks showing how to remove front and top panels (with ease and hopefully without breaking),
Lack of carry handles to maneuver finished case (heavy when full),

Other Thoughts: The floor plate upon which the HDD drives can rest should be raised and perforated to allow installation of floor fans/radiator installation with the floor plate installed (to keep case rigidity and allow for another cooling option).

2 out of 5 eggsGenius, obstructed by poor execution

Pros: The case design and construction are great. There's plenty of fan room, and more than enough expansion options if you're willing to gut the thing and understand where everything can fit.

The inclusion of a decent fan controller into the design was a pleasant surprise. It's centrally located, and made the build much cleaner than I thought it would be.

Cable routing is a breeze. Between all of the cut-outs, and a clever hidden shelf, this might be my cleanest case every.

On top of that, the aesthetics are great. The window isn't too big, the black finish is nice, and the front/top panels are unique without losing functionality.

Cons: This is where I start seeing the brilliance of design choked out by some insanely stupid mistakes. Let's start from the bottom, and work our way up.

The HDD racks are bizarre. The holes designed to stabilize the mounting aren't evenly spaced, so you wind up having to slide the HDD enclosures up and down to find holes that work.

The reverse mounted SSD/2.5" drives behind the motherboard only allow for a straight SATA power connector. Hopefully the one at the end of your power cord is straight rather than 90 degree, because if not the mounting bracket has to be forced.

The space above the motherboard has enough room for either 1 row of fans and 1 normal height radiator, or 2 rows of fans. The top panel prevents installing anything higher than that, and the motherboard will contact the fans.radiator if you use anything higher. Another 2 CM of height would have prevented this.

The top panel prevents you from installing a 12cmX36cm radiator. The USB connector installation flares out, and the plastic from the reset button is oddly extruded. In order to fit a 360mm radiator you'll need to bend the plastic from the USB (no problem), and modify the reset switch plastic. That both voids warranties, and is insanely stupid design.

Other Thoughts: Would I buy it again; no.

Can I recommend this case; no.

This boils down to a simple matter of being too expensive for the cheap builder, and too cheap for the builder who wants quality. I don't have regrets about the modifications I've made to make this thing work, but you shouldn't have to pay this much to have such a huge project.

For every great thing I can say about this case, there are another two that make me wonder if the designer was trying to cause problems, or just had to cut corners in order to meet a budget.

It's a shame that I'm not happier than I am with this case. It should have been a slam dunk, and easily 4 eggs. It could be so much better than it is with just a few modifications, but as it stands there's too much wrong to allow me to recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsSuper flexibility

Pros: Big, roomy, super flexibility, you can remove just about everything if you don't need it. Great design if your an experienced modder or just looking for a roomy, cool looking case. I especially liked the 2 places on the backside of the motherboard tray to install SSD's out of the way. Very cool. The air flow is phenomenal. The big fan up front and on top as well as the medium-bigger than usual rear exhaust design is very effective.

Cons: I had a small dent in the rear part of the frame and one of the thumbscrew holes wouldn't line up correctly. It's obviously a quality control issue so NZXT needs to address that, otherwise not a bad case especially if you want the flexibility and the room to make it your own.

Other Thoughts: NZXT contacted me pretty quickly to offer any help to correct the issues I had but I declined. It didn't take much to correct the problem, not my first case mod, and everything else is just fine. So, thanks NZXT for your attention to customer service. It was appreciated.

2 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: 1) IO LEDS so at night you can see behind your case
2) Lots of configurations for fans/drives

Cons: 1) VERY hard to work with, my front cover wont come off at all it is so extremely tight
2) The thumbscrews in the back are so tight I need a screwdriver to get them off, hardly thumbscrews

4 out of 5 eggsIts BIG

Pros: Good cabling options, great build quality, quiet, spacious

Cons: Hard drive mounting trays

Other Thoughts: I choose to finally build my dream computer and this case made it super easy. Having worked in smaller cases the room this one afforded made it enjoyable. Not a single cut from sharp edges, even though I actually checked to see if they were sharp no blood flowed. I love the matte black finish, no flaws, super quiet fans, great modular layout with the HDD cages.

Folks this case is huge, well at least to me, really didn't appreciate the size till I saw the box.

I love the case except for the HDD trays, they are just not as stiff as I would have liked. They're "OK" with a drive in them but taking them in and out can be frustrating. I wouldn't suggest a SSD in one, I'm not sure it would stay mounted if you moved the case around.

I'd really rate the case a 4.5 eggs it is a beauty

5 out of 5 eggsGreat water cooling case

Pros: This case is very large and gives you plenty of room to have endless amounts of hardware. It has 4 different radiator mounting points. solid build quality. Perfect cable grommet holes. I currently have a triple 120 rad in the top and a dual 12 rad in the bottom with more room for 2 more rads without and modifications hands down this is a amazing case for people who want to have a custom water cooling loop without the hassle of having to cut, drill, and mod there case. And finally the fan controller works like a charm and its simple but powerful.

Cons: When running a large system with many components as i do, It would be nice to have a little more cable management room behind the motherboard tray. its a real tight fit once you have a lot of cables.
