4 out of 5 eggsSuper flexibility

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Big, roomy, super flexibility, you can remove just about everything if you don't need it. Great design if your an experienced modder or just looking for a roomy, cool looking case. I especially liked the 2 places on the backside of the motherboard tray to install SSD's out of the way. Very cool. The air flow is phenomenal. The big fan up front and on top as well as the medium-bigger than usual rear exhaust design is very effective.

Cons: I had a small dent in the rear part of the frame and one of the thumbscrew holes wouldn't line up correctly. It's obviously a quality control issue so NZXT needs to address that, otherwise not a bad case especially if you want the flexibility and the room to make it your own.

Other Thoughts: NZXT contacted me pretty quickly to offer any help to correct the issues I had but I declined. It didn't take much to correct the problem, not my first case mod, and everything else is just fine. So, thanks NZXT for your attention to customer service. It was appreciated.

4 out of 5 eggsIts BIG

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good cabling options, great build quality, quiet, spacious

Cons: Hard drive mounting trays

Other Thoughts: I choose to finally build my dream computer and this case made it super easy. Having worked in smaller cases the room this one afforded made it enjoyable. Not a single cut from sharp edges, even though I actually checked to see if they were sharp no blood flowed. I love the matte black finish, no flaws, super quiet fans, great modular layout with the HDD cages.

Folks this case is huge, well at least to me, really didn't appreciate the size till I saw the box.

I love the case except for the HDD trays, they are just not as stiff as I would have liked. They're "OK" with a drive in them but taking them in and out can be frustrating. I wouldn't suggest a SSD in one, I'm not sure it would stay mounted if you moved the case around.

I'd really rate the case a 4.5 eggs it is a beauty

5 out of 5 eggsGreat water cooling case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is very large and gives you plenty of room to have endless amounts of hardware. It has 4 different radiator mounting points. solid build quality. Perfect cable grommet holes. I currently have a triple 120 rad in the top and a dual 12 rad in the bottom with more room for 2 more rads without and modifications hands down this is a amazing case for people who want to have a custom water cooling loop without the hassle of having to cut, drill, and mod there case. And finally the fan controller works like a charm and its simple but powerful.

Cons: When running a large system with many components as i do, It would be nice to have a little more cable management room behind the motherboard tray. its a real tight fit once you have a lot of cables.

5 out of 5 eggsTHE best case for liquid cooling

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case can easily accommodate a 360 radiator on the top and a 240 on the bottom without any modding, a truly godsent case for the water cooling community. In terms of assembly, There are tons of big routing holes and cable tie down points making cable management easier. You can route all the 3-pin fans connectors to the back and have one button controlling their speed. It might not be the largest case but it's still very spacious inside for all your components plus liquid cooling parts. Remove dust filters are included for easy cleaning, This comes really handy in the long run. There are two slide out dust filters for the bottom radiator and power supply, And a front dust filter which requires removing the front panel to reach. There are two large dust filters covering the top as well. This case really can't get any better and should set an example for all the case manufacturers.

Cons: If you plan to use a 240 radiator on the front, You actually have to cut the steel piece underneath the HDD cages a little otherwise even a thin radiator won't fit. With all the cut outs and removable components, The case does seem to have a weak structure, but then again it's not suppose to block bullets for you or having 300 lb sitting on top of it, So it can be overlooked.

Other Thoughts: I have been building computers for over 10 years and used hundred of cases from low end to enthusiast, And this is the best I have ever seen. The price is also unbeatable.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome in a box.

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Big. Roomy. Holes everywhere for great cable management. HDD bays are easily removable- allowing for great customization options. Enough grommets to support my longer than standard PSU. All the mobo standoffs line up perfectly.

Cons: None of my fans that are plugged into the controller work. I contacted support and they're sending me a replacement, so that's great and I'm not going to deduct any eggs for it. (However I must say that support is very slow, was a 38 minute chat, mostly just waiting 5 minutes+ before the agent responded.)

Other Thoughts: Overkill for my needs, but will probably never have to upgrade. And it looks amazing even with the "small window" that people complain about.

5 out of 5 eggsI was wrong

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Large, quiet fans, easy to use, modular

Cons: The instruction manual can be a bit cryptic

Other Thoughts: In my previous review, I said some parts were missing, but I was just too dumb to notice them. I can't delete that review, but I wanted to at least write a new one.

5 out of 5 eggsabsolute pleasure to build in

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 630 CA-PH630-M1 Matte Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: As my friends like to say, I've joined the Yacht Club with this case. It has an amazing amount of real estate and cooling support.
I upgraded from an Apevia X-trooper so I threw some of those fans into this case.

I own the Matte Black version and I have to advocate for it. Personally I think nzxt's product work white the best, but this looks very classy in black, and any LED color you can put in there looks excellent.

Onto Tech stuff:

-absolute pleasure to build in, if you are somebody who enjoys the process of routing cables and securing things nicely and attractively you'll love every minute of building in this case. The extruded motherboard panel leaves tons of room for hiding wires wherever you'd like behind the panel.

-I've got 8 fans in there, including the 3 stock ones, another 200mm green LED fan I got from nzxt as well, and then some of the x-trooper's fans. I'm not going to lie, NZXT's fan build quality isn't quite up to par with the best manufacturers. They're either a little noisier or a little less effective than they could be, when compared to other performance models. I have to advocate for the case, though, the side panels slid attach very solidly and they actually drown out a lot of sound. This is the usual argument, but I stand by that if you game with speakers you will not hear the fans, and otherwise you can keep them on the lowest setting, and then you really wont hear them.

-fan controller is nice. blends with the aethetic of the top panel and looks good, the three settings seem to be useful settings. Not 100% sure why they've offered 10 different fan connections to it. I think it's 30 watts, and assuming you're using it for this case you've probably got 4 200mm fans, who knows what else. That isn't quite enough power for a full tower of fans. Just keep that in mind.

Cons: backpanel lights default on when you power up. I think that's kind of dumb, they definitely should have done it the other way around. I may just disconnect them. There are are two lights, one over the video card bays and one over the mobo backpanel, and the backpanel one is burned out on my case. It hasn't affected me, but still.

Yes, the harddrive bays are flimsy. If you are that worried, you can always screw your harddrives in old style. I dont think there's anything to worry about unless your computer is doing barrel rolls

Other Thoughts: I want to say something specfically to anybody considering the NZXT 820 (I was). The 820 is close to the same dimensions, but another inch or so taller. I don't think it will make or break any particular space issues, and neither case really falls into the category of 'conveniently mobile'. You can pick up the hue controller from NZXT for 30 dollars and get an even more functional internal lighting setup. Even after purchasing that the 820 is another 50 dollars, I just dont think that case is worth it unless your heart is set on it. Paint on this case is also of better quality, which is important. Nzxt's cases love fingerprints
