1 out of 5 eggsThis thing is an oven! Avoid!

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Huge
Tons of 3.5 bays

Cons: Horrible cooling. This thing is an oven. Even with 4 200mm fans and Corsair H90 watercooling I'm getting 150 degree+ CPU temps on my AMD 8350. My northbridge chipset is triggering thermal shutoff.

I ordered 3 extra NZXT fans with the case. I also added a 140mm fan in front of the top drive bays in the provided slot. It's already cooling better than the stock case. And still I have to leave the case side off.

The top 5.25 bay cannot be used with top 200mm top fans installed, and I cannot fit my DVD drive into the bottom bay due to a pair of lumps in the bottom rails that won't yield.

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my previews review, after my attempts to remedy the cooling issues.

I hate this thing and wish I'd never bought it. I'd return it if I could, but it'd mean going back to my old case, which would be difficult due to its limited space and cable routing. It's still way better than this despite being 9 years old and only cooled with 120mm fans.

3 out of 5 eggsCooling is far below expectations

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: HUGE internal space
Supports tons of hard drives
Great cable management
Supports HUGE fans

Cons: Cools MUCH worse than the 9 year old Thermaltake Shark case it replaced.
I got thermal shutoff with 4 200mm fans installed.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case, along with 3 additional NZXT 200mm fans, wanting something more modern with better cooling. I recased my system without changing any components. My old case barely fit a full-size video card and only supported 2 120mm fans stock (I added a 3rd one with a Silverstone 5.25" bay cooler). The key differences seem to be that the Shark had vents near the video card that allowed for it to constantly breathe fresh air, and the power supply and its 120mm fan were at the top of the case, directly above the CPU.

Since recasing, my system has run hotter to the point of thermal shutoff while playing Far Cry 3, and I have taken to leaving the case side off. The problem seems to be that the 200mm fans, while they move more air, do not have the air velocity of the older 120mm fans, so you wind up with areas of dead air inside the case. The solution would be faster 200mm fans, but that takes away from the quietness of the case. Keep in mind that I already bought 3 additional fans, so I'm still better off than someone who just buys the case and uses it stock.

Ultimately I feel NZXT dropped the ball with this one. I'm running with my case side off and now looking at water cooling my CPU to get my temperatures back down where they were when I had a 9 year old case.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful, functional, and sleek

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: - Aesthetics. Finally, a case series that doesn't scream SUPER ULTRA GAMING with a barrage of red LEDs to match.
- Ample space. If I chose to do custom loop watercooling in the future, I'll have plenty of options. For now, installing the X61's big 280mm rad in the top was a breeze.
- Modular drive cages. It looks so clean without them.
- Included rear LED, USB 3.0 inputs in front, included 200m fan in the front.
- Great paint job, very little plastic.
- Removable dust filters for the bottom PSU and case intake.

Cons: - Heavy (but seriously, who would get a full tower if weight was an issue?)
- No thumbscrews that stay attached to the panel like you see with the H440.
- Restricted airflow in the front and top. Expect things to run a few degrees higher. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be, though.
- Possible airflow recirculation issues if you use smaller fans, like a triple 120mm in the front. This can be solved, however, by closing off the extra intake and exhaust areas with just about any material.
- No windowed option. (I know you can buy a window side panel from NZXT, but the asymmetrical and angular design of the window that's intended for the Phantom 630 really clashes with the square, perpendicular theme of the H630).

Other Thoughts: I was torn between this and the H440 for a long time. Ultimately, the presence of 5.25" bays, the option for 200mm fans, and the spacious room that this cage provides won me over. This case has obvious airflow disadvantages due to its minimalist design and emphasis on silence, but with proper fans and cooling solutions, its design is more than adequate. I was able to pick mine up for $100 after rebate, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: This is a beautiful and sleek looking case. The pictures don't do this case justice. The case feels well made and has a nice weight to it. It was really easy to install all the computer components into this case. Has plenty of room for any upgrading that I'll be doing. You also have a lot of options for cable management, so you can have optimal airflow throughout your case. Another thing I like, is that I can remove the drive bays, making the airflow even better.

Cons: I can't think of a single issue that I have with this case. It fits my computing needs very well. I'll come back and edit my review if I have any issues with this case in the future.

Other Thoughts: I know some people have said that they've had issues with the temperatures inside the case. I've only had this case for a few days, but I haven't had any issues. I run temp monitors while playing games and I haven't seen the temperature get out of control. I plan on doing more thorough testing soon and will update this review accordingly.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: This case has SO much space, you could fit a family of 4 in here. I have had this case for over a year and am STILL finding new things with it. Just redid the cable management due to adding a new HDD. One note though, the case is HUGE.... it IS an ultra tower and the name suits it. If you want serious space then I recommend this case without a doubt.
The rubberized sides excel at making this case super quiet, the feet keep it off the ground, the dust guards are easily removed and cleaned and keep the system clean (especially if you have 3 cats). The LED light that illuminates the rear panel of the case is one of the best idea's that I have ever seen.

I was worried about the Corsair H100i not fitting, but it did without a problem.

Cons: Weight and Size, but these are not really cons as I knew what to expect when I purchased this case.

I was worried about the Corsair H100i not fitting as some reviews on it stated, but it did without a problem and I had room to spare.

Other Thoughts: I am sold on NZXT for the rest of my cases from here on out.

3 out of 5 eggsNice Case, but...

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Nice case with plenty of space and all the bells and whistles.

Cons: Kinda disappointed with NZXT for a case that cost me $130!. The front panel on my case has a lot of scuffing where the gloss is removed. Almost looks like an acid was spilled on it...I wonder what kind of quality check do they have before shipping these things out for sale to consumers??? It couldn't have been damaged during shipping because this panel was face up in the box with the thick polystyrene package casing between it and the box.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome For What you PAY FOR

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Got it on sale for 119.99 Cable Cutouts, Fully modular HDD bays, WHITE AWESOMENESS, LEDs FOR I/O PANEL!!!! PLENTY OF AIRFLOW. SILENT YES SILENT BUY THE RIGHT FANS PEOPLE. IF people ever complain about the airflow they do not know what they are talking about. CAn accomidate many watercooling solutons.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The Noise Dampening material Kind of Cuts out some routing space Available, Since i am using all the hard drive bays. The SATA cables are being Pushed by the Sound dampening material and will leave compression marks in the material I knew this would happen getting into this. I recommend a fully modular PSU and cut to length cables to accommodate this case It will make your PC look better anyways.. :)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: The case is very well built and is pretty quiet. The gloss finish is perfection. Love the small details all around the case, especially the rear port lights. Very good case for clean cable management which makes looking at the case enjoyable when you look inside. I will be modding the case a little bit with window.

The case is not as large as the name suggests "ultra" which made me a bit hesitant of buying. But it's a great size case.

I got it cheap here on sale $119/free shipping and $20 rebate.

Cons: The fans that came with it are not quit as they should be, but thats my experience with previous NZXT fans. I will be replacing them very soon for Corsair Air series for true quiet.

What was a draw back is that I can't use push/pull with my kraken x60 due to the heatsinks on the motherboard. And with the top of the case being blocked, it keeps hot air in the case and the rad doesn't cool off well with just 2 push fans.

Other Thoughts: Intel Core i7 4770K Haswell @ 4.4ghz
Asus Maximus VI Formula Motherboard
G.SKILL Trident X Series 2400 16GB
2x SAMSUNG 840 EVO Series 120 SSD Raid 0
2x Seagate 1TB
2x Samsung F4 2TB
NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Case
NZXT Kraken X60
Corsair HX 1050 PSU
Asus 16x Bluray drive

5 out of 5 eggsCool and quiet

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: A very sturdy and big case. My only worries was that I was gonna trade off cooling for quiet. But I was proven wrong, it's both cool and quiet and very nice looking. If you're in the market for a full tower case then you won't be disappointed.

Cons: nothing

Other Thoughts: Big and heavy case, make sure you got space for where ever you plan to stick this Bohemia.

5 out of 5 eggsbest case owned to date

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: First of all, this case is quite large, especially when upgrading from a mid tower. I absolutely love it though, both the sleek white exterior and the extra space for organization inside. I was able to wire everything in a very organized fashion from my PSU(bottom mounted) to the mobo via the case's routing slots behind the mobo mount. This, along with the fantastic circulation the case allows, has eliminated the overheating issues I'd been having with my previous rig.
While I only have 2 hdd's, the case has ample room for comfortable expansion. There are also a number of openings for additional fans, if you need extra circulation. I would absolutely recommend this case to anyone looking to upgrade/change up their rig.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Be mindful of any loose-hanging plugs. The sound dampening material on the inside of the panels can tear from plug corners if they're not tied down properly.
