5 out of 5 eggsAwesome For What you PAY FOR

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Got it on sale for 119.99 Cable Cutouts, Fully modular HDD bays, WHITE AWESOMENESS, LEDs FOR I/O PANEL!!!! PLENTY OF AIRFLOW. SILENT YES SILENT BUY THE RIGHT FANS PEOPLE. IF people ever complain about the airflow they do not know what they are talking about. CAn accomidate many watercooling solutons.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The Noise Dampening material Kind of Cuts out some routing space Available, Since i am using all the hard drive bays. The SATA cables are being Pushed by the Sound dampening material and will leave compression marks in the material I knew this would happen getting into this. I recommend a fully modular PSU and cut to length cables to accommodate this case It will make your PC look better anyways.. :)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: The case is very well built and is pretty quiet. The gloss finish is perfection. Love the small details all around the case, especially the rear port lights. Very good case for clean cable management which makes looking at the case enjoyable when you look inside. I will be modding the case a little bit with window.

The case is not as large as the name suggests "ultra" which made me a bit hesitant of buying. But it's a great size case.

I got it cheap here on sale $119/free shipping and $20 rebate.

Cons: The fans that came with it are not quit as they should be, but thats my experience with previous NZXT fans. I will be replacing them very soon for Corsair Air series for true quiet.

What was a draw back is that I can't use push/pull with my kraken x60 due to the heatsinks on the motherboard. And with the top of the case being blocked, it keeps hot air in the case and the rad doesn't cool off well with just 2 push fans.

5 out of 5 eggsCool and quiet

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: A very sturdy and big case. My only worries was that I was gonna trade off cooling for quiet. But I was proven wrong, it's both cool and quiet and very nice looking. If you're in the market for a full tower case then you won't be disappointed.

Cons: nothing

Other Thoughts: Big and heavy case, make sure you got space for where ever you plan to stick this Bohemia.

5 out of 5 eggsbest case owned to date

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: First of all, this case is quite large, especially when upgrading from a mid tower. I absolutely love it though, both the sleek white exterior and the extra space for organization inside. I was able to wire everything in a very organized fashion from my PSU(bottom mounted) to the mobo via the case's routing slots behind the mobo mount. This, along with the fantastic circulation the case allows, has eliminated the overheating issues I'd been having with my previous rig.
While I only have 2 hdd's, the case has ample room for comfortable expansion. There are also a number of openings for additional fans, if you need extra circulation. I would absolutely recommend this case to anyone looking to upgrade/change up their rig.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Be mindful of any loose-hanging plugs. The sound dampening material on the inside of the panels can tear from plug corners if they're not tied down properly.

5 out of 5 eggsVery satisfied with this case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Very quiet. Great fan options with a buss for fan connections. Lots of room for components. Nice LED light illuminating rear connections panel. Very good manual. Enameled finish inside and out. Well styled. Obvious that engineers who designed this case had experience building a custom computer.

Cons: Perhaps is it a bit heavy for most but not for me since that is due to solid build.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this again and recommend to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggsVentilation is not an issue.

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Solid build all around, Very modern and sleek. Everyone who sees this beauty running loves it. The amount of space inside is honestly more then enough for your wiring and extra fans. I have yet to install fans to the modular drives but Its something I plan on doing in the future to move air around. Not to forget that this is a very quiet tower. I use it in my home studio for recording and it stays super quiet and cool.

Cons: Size, But that was expected. The option to buy it with a see through side panel would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: Considering this is my first PC I have ever put together I must say I am more then satisfied with its performance and aesthetics. The looks alone are amazing but the features in the case are solid!!

I will do a video update soon.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case!

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: I love this case! When the white cases first started coming onto the market, a couple years ago, I was on the fence... there were a couple I thought looked okay...
However, recently, I started looking for a new case to build a new gaming rig from. I looked at all the cases on Newegg and when I first stumbled on this white beauty, I was immediately pulled towards it. Of course, I quickly scoured the internet to find a more in depth look at the case which of course there is a lot of very good information out there about this case. So, it was an easy decision.
Building my new rig was a joy and this case made it easy! Now, I just wish there were more options in terms of white peripherals!!

Cons: I wish the USB panel was switched to the other side of the case... why on the right side????

Other Thoughts: The paint job is beautifully done! The paint has this hardened enamel type finish that would lead me to believe it was baked.

My wife says it looks like a Stormtrooper... LOL

5 out of 5 eggsA high quality case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: What I liked the most was all the attention paid to small details which aided with installation: The screws are all divided into their own labelled bags. The instructions are well written compared to the one-sheet types I'm used to. Edges inside the case are rounded (a bigger plus than I thought it'd be). The covers for the expansion ports can be removed and replaced as needed. Also, the thumb screws holding them can be used for tool-free installation of expansion cards.

The bigger stuff: The SSD mounts behind the motherboard are neat, and store two SSDs out of
the way. The screw-free installation of 3.5" and 5.25" drives is really nice and feels very
secure- this is the first time I've not had to use extra screws to install drives in
tool-free mounts. With the included fans, the case is very quiet! My PC feels much more at home in my living room now that it doesn't sound like an engine. The case looks very stylish and understated. There is just enough black in the trim that having black drives in the external bays doesn't look totally out of place.

Cons: The front panel is VERY hard to remove. I had to pull so hard I was concerned I was going to break something (I didn't). The back LEDs only come on when the PC is powered on- which I can understand- but it would be much more helpful to be able to switch them on for rewiring stuff when the PC is powered down but still plugged in. As with all full size cases, some extra planning is necessary to make sure cables reach where they need to- for example, from the power supply to the top 5.25" bay. Speaking of which, there are only two external 5.25" bays and no 3.5" external bays. Again, some extra planning is necessary in this regard. The side panel includes an SD card reader along with USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports, offsetting the lack of extra bays somewhat.

Other Thoughts: This the second full-size tower I've purchased. My previous one was a Thermaltake Spedo- a fine case in its own regard- which is the basis for many of my comparisons.

All said, this is a very high quality case. The cost may seem high to some but this is an instance where you definitely get what you pay for (in a good way). My previous full tower cost more and it definitely did not have as many features as this one. Plus the room for expansion in hardware and cooling gives the case a degree of future proofing. One last thought- if you want to add additional cooling fans, do some research first. From what I understand, NZXT uses a proprietary placement of screw holes for fans. You should make sure the fan you want to install will fit in the case before you buy it. NZXT support recommended their FZ series of 200 mm fans as a low noise fan for this case.

5 out of 5 eggsClean. Modern. Silent (if you replace the stock fans).,

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-W1 White Steel Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: ** CLEAN **

Definitely. This case has a very minimal design and I love it. There are two 5-1/4" bays in the front with a backport light, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a headphone jack, a microphone jack, and a memory card reader very elegantly placed down the side. What's the "backport light?" Well, NZXT has kindly installed a small LED light over the exterior of your expansion cards for easy plugging in. Unfortunately, the light only turns on when the computer's on, so it's not super useful (I like to plug in my monitors with my system off). At the top of the case, there's your power and reset buttons. That's it. An incredibly elegant design, really.

**Modern**

I choose to look at the inside of the case when I think modern. This case is HUGE (both physically and in terms of interior space). Do you remember the opening scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey with the giant black monolith? Yes, this case is THAT big. It's got nine 3.5" drive bays as well as two 2.5" SSD bays on the backside of the motherboard. Speaking of motherboard, you can fit pretty much any motherboard you'd like in here (I went with the ASUS Z87 Deluxe for my Haswell build).

Cable routing is outstanding as you can guide all of the cables behind the motherboard and completely out of space. There's room for TEN (10) fans in here as well as a variety of radiators for almost any liquid-cooled application you can imagine. As a special trick, NZXT created a single header with ten 3-pin fan plugs on it so you only need one power source for all ten of your fans. Very, very nice. In addition, the system takes two 200mm fans on the front and a 140mm fan on the back, but has holes drilled for a nearly limitless variety of fan sizes to fulfill your heart's every whim and desire.

I absolutely loved building my system into this case with all of the space and features NZXT thoughtfully added to make the build easier. I loved it, that is, until I turned it on...

Cons: "SILENT"

Sadly, this is where the case in its stock form falls short. I bought this case exclusively for the fact that it was advertised as silent in magazines such as Maximum PC where it received outstanding ratings.

The stock 200mm and 140mm fans aren't just NOT silent - they're LOUD. The 7mm of sound deadening material on each side of the case does deaden my incredibly noisy data drive (a Seagate Barracuda 3.0TB), however, the fans, oh, sweet jebus, the fans! The computer sounds like my Honeywell Air Cleaner with the constant wooshing of air being pushed around the room.

"But, you're being too picky," I hear you say as you read this review. Not so. This Haswell build replaces a Dell XPS 8300 Sandy Bridge I7 system. In the Dell, I replaced the video card, power supply, and case fan (installed a Nexus) and made the XPS system virtually silent. I mean, WHISPER SILENT and that was a Dell budget build with their own proprietary CPU cooler on the thing. And lest you think I'm overpowering the Haswell build by comparison, I brought over the same RAM, SSD, HDD, video card, and PSU. Plus, I added a super-quiet liquid-cooling CPU cooler.

All of the noise in this new system comes from the fans that NZXT shipped it with. In my opinion, it's so noisy that it's nearly inexcusable. If you're going to call your case "silent" then it better be, and you better ship some super-quiet fans with the stupid thing otherwise it'll be disappointing out of the box (like the H630 is).

**MODIFIED**

I ditched both the NZXT 200mm and 140mm fans to try and make the computer silent. First, I swapped in a Cooler Master 200mm to the front of the case. It's not the fault of the CM fan, these 200mm fans are just so big that they'll make noise when they move air around. In fact, I determined for a silent build you really won't want to put a fan of any kind in the front of the case as I tried both 140mm and 120mm Nexus fans in the front to no avail.

What did make the system virtually silent was using three Nexus 140mm fans and a new Corsair RM-series power supply. Thanks to NZXT's design of the case, I placed two Nexus 140mm fans dead-center in the case, blowing air from the front through to the Nexus 140mm exhaust fan at the back. That, in combination with a quiet CPU cooler (I used both a Zalman and a Cooler Master 212), the case was almost silent at idle and low loads.

One of the best decisions I made was to experiment with Corsair's new RM series power supplies. These PSUs are outstanding - at 0-40% load, the cooling fan does NOT turn. I can't describe had awesome this feature is - it made the case almost perfectly silent..

Other Thoughts: *Overall*

Overall, this is a spectacular case for any builder looking for a huge case with tons of options and a very clean, very well-designed look. If you're looking for a "silent" case out of the box (pardon the pun), you'll want to plan new fans into your budget. NZXT's fans simply aren't going to impress you for silence
