4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Spacious, well planned, and all around great looking for a full-size tower. The included fan hub really came in handy, the front port cables were plenty long enough to mount to my M/B.

All of my cable management has gone into this case, as if it were meant to be. Nothing was incredibly too long or just didn't reach enough (with one exception), in fact every cable I snapped in was as if it were meant to be there and I had little to no real cable management effort.

The matte black finish seems very durable. Fingerprints do tend to stay, kind of like stainless steel but, it does clean up very quick and nicely. No scratches or marks left in the finish.

Every aspect of this case has been extensively thought out and it shows. The overall look is very nice and blacked out. I personally like that so, this is a perfect case for me. It is a monster though, this beast really takes up a lot of room on my desk but, now that it is all finished, it looks great. HUGE but great

Window side panel options are available from the manufacturer direct although they are out of stock of the black panels as I type this. They are expected to get more Q2 of 2015, is what they told me when I inquired.

Cons: Not silent - both of the screen filters on the bottom of the machine rattle ever so slightly making the whole case sound like a dentists tool. I simply added a few pieces of rubber to the sides of the filter and done. This case lost half an egg for that since it claims to be a silent case. Not to be harsh but, overall, this isn't an extremely silent case and something so simple as the exterior filters not being sealed is definitely noteworthy.

Incorrect orientation of the front USB panel - definitely half an egg, really this one should get a full egg but, I do love this case.
The USB front panel is on the PC's left side or if you are facing the front of the machine, it is on the right side. This is a travesty in the design of this case as if I want to orient my case with the beautiful new hardware facing me, through my new window side panel, it makes the front USB/card reader panel impossible to see. If I want this case with the side panel facing me, I simply cannot use my front USB panel or I have to completely stick my head around to the back to see what I am doing. This is horrible. Not sure why they did this but, the Phantom cases of the same class don't have this issue.

The two fans in the bottom of the cage, might need extensions to get to the fan hub. This one might have been engineered a little better where they put the fan hub a little lower in the back of the case. Either way though, I had to buy two fan extensions for my two lower case fans to reach the hub as the wires on the fans weren't long enough when fed and cable managed through the back panel.

Other Thoughts: The manufacturer sells window panels for this case on their site. I stumbled across it unknowingly when I was looking for case parts. An option to buy this case with the window panel would have been nice but, I will enjoy having my old spare panel. A little guidance from the manufacturer that they even offer more exact fit parts for this case, would have been helpful.

I do love this case. It is HUGE and it dwarfs any other PC case within a 20 mile radius. I don't plan on moving it but, make sure if you plan on doing any upgrades, you do them all at once. Fully loaded this thing is extremely heavy and there aren't any handles to grab it by. Doing the few LED mods and fan additions has been a challenge, simply because this thing weighs so much. I am a strong, husky man so, I'd hate to see what this would do to a little guy.

5 out of 5 eggsBig and Quiet.

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Nice looking, smooth design & Quiet, just what I Was looking for. This case fit everything easily, including a tall Enermax cpu cooler. The sound Attentuation material is at least 5/16 an inch!
I am real glad to have found a full size case that doesn't look like it belongs on an alien space ship.

Cons: I have only used for one day now. only con I can think of is its heavy, but to me that's a plus.

5 out of 5 eggsIf you want a silent pc then this is it

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: A lot of rooms, high compatible with radiators. Sound absorbing material everywhere. Anti-vibration is also very good.

Cons: Well, the price for silent is the limit of air flow. The temperature would go up like 3c to 5c compare to my previous case. But not a big deal, compare to the silent it gives.
The exterior really like to catch your finger print, but after all you wouldn't touch it too often after set up.

Other Thoughts: This is so far the most silent case I have ever used. If your number one priority was silent over temperature when it comes to pc, then this is it.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek and Simple

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Easiest case that I have ever worked with. More than enough room for any build. I used this case for a friend's build and I will be purchasing one for myself soon.

Cons: Fingerprint magnet, but I knew that already.

Other Thoughts: Included rear fan does not appear to be adjustable speed, not really an issue as it can be replaced relatively expense free.

Because of it's size it can be a bit awkward to work with.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Ingenious Design & High Quality
+Case back-light to view all your cables in the dark
+ 100% Metal Construction no plastic.
+Screwless design where it needs to be
+Size SIZE SIZE!!
+Easy-to-use hidden cable management
+Front panel features
+Aesthetics
+Large NZXT Water Cooler placements throughout the case.

Cons: -No venting on the top panel makes my Radiator fans work harder
-A little heavy, but I guess that's the tradeoff for quality.
-Typical difficulty with running Sata cables and not screwless for SSDs.

Other Thoughts: For me this case is perfect because I was fed up with a noisy mid-tower. Bigger cases in general have excellent insulation and do not require as much cooling due to their sheer size.

This is case can hardly be considered an "Ultra Tower" but it is a nice fat Full tower.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet Luxury

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Cavernous, re-configurable interior space makes this a sweet space to work in. I mated it with a Gigabyte GA Z97X UD5H BK board, and an i7 4771 CPU, cooled by my Zalman CNPS900NT fan, from a previous build. CPU idles at 23 degrees.

I added a Gelid 120mm Gamer Fan, aimed directly across the MB and CPU, and used the two included fans. My 850W PS also adds it's own fan to the mix. With these five fans and my GPU fan all running, there is only a quiet whooosh!

The LED light at the rear of the case eliminates the need for a flashlight to work the plug-ins there. This is a minimal and elegant-looking tower that will be appreciated by anyone over 25.

The front plug-ins are a nice feature. Unfortunately, my Gigabyte board doesn't support USB3 plugins at both front and rear (likely a bios issue), so I only have the USB2 ports at the front.

Cons: One star off because the snap-on plastic case front and top are a real challenge to remove. Trying to do so will result in some apprehension about breakage. They will not likely withstand many removal/replacement cycles.

The instruction manual is also a tough read.

5 out of 5 eggsMinimal, Clean and Functional

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: I tend to do a lot of server builds for my work, and rarely have I had such a pleasurable experience doing a build. For those of you who like a minimalist design, while the aesthetics are pleasantly non distracting this case is still very sleek and attractive. It is also very sturdy and durable-- the grade of materials is top notch across the board (though the disk cages are plastic). Also, the case is easy to maneuver and to break down-- you can certainly count on having little trouble getting in and out with your upgrades/maintenance on this case with very little difficulty.

Cons: For those of you who like "room" to work, there is something to be said about that regarding MoBo space. The Drive cages, while innovative in their design (they can be both removed and adjusted in position), also get in the way for Motherboards large than your standard ATX. It SHOULD be noted though that this is still possible-- I was able to fit in a Supermicro X8DTHi-F in here with a small amount of tweak (and an electrical shield running alongside the drive cages).

Other Thoughts: If like me you want a case that has plenty of room to work, is easy to manage and maneuver, and doesn't look like something stolen from the Borg then I encourage you to buy without hesitation. Great Case.

5 out of 5 eggsClean Builds

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Excellent cable management, Tons of options for fans, Support for liquid cooling, Huge amounts of space, Fully modular HDD bays, only 2 5.25 bays (perfect for me)

Excellent build quality, Very sturdy case, its a heavy one, but the quality is there.

Cons: Not going to dock eggs, but one of them did tick me off.
The case comes with 9 motherboard standoffs installed, and 2 extra in a bag. My motherboard takes 13, I thought maybe i had just been given an incorrect amount, However once i had checked the manual, it was clear that it comes with 11. Why they pre-drill 13 spots for standoffs, I don't know. I can't understand why their would be 13 spots for an ATX-XL motherboard, which this does support, if they're only going to give you 11. I had a couple from my last NZXT case, but they were a different length. I used a dremmel to shorten them. I was pretty mad about it, but I'm not going to dock any eggs. Just let it be known.
The second I'm not really going to include as a con, but some might. The matte paint loves taking your fingerprints, I did know this before buying the case, because of the flat color. I wipe my cases down often enough anyway, But if this would bother you, you now know.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I really like this case, A LOT. I do wish that it had some more ventilation on the top and front of the case, for exhaust and intake. At some point i think i am going to modify the top panel so my radiators can breath a little better. Temps went up about 5-10 Celsius from my last case, But i am also running a different Motherboard and CPU now.

You can also get a side panel with a window if you would prefer it. Its available on NZXT's website for $29.99
I loved my last NZXT Tempest Evo, and i love this case. This time around, I was looking for a high quality case, that was sort of basic, with no lights, led's.

This case, Also looks a little bit like a mini-fridge!
Sadly the Asian girl in the video, did not come in the box.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful Case

This review is from: NZXT H630 CA-H630F-M1 Matte Black Ultra Tower Silent Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 2 x USB 2.0 SD Card Reader

Pros: Practically everything: spacious, well-designed, no issues to be seen from inside, all parts neatly assembled, maximum airflow (I installed a second 200mm fan because, why not), washers on the case panel screws (thank you very much), and so on...

Cons: My only complaint is that the rear exhaust fan looks like a pain to remove if you want to replace it with something else, but that's not enough to dock an egg.

And maybe the matte black picks up fingerprints easily, but whatever.
