4 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: -The case is amazing! The size is pretty large but not MASSIVE. It has a ton of space and great for wiring management! A ton of slots for everything you need! And overall extremely well designed! The look of it is extremely appealing and have more than enough slots for fans.

Cons: -The only con is that its extremely fragile on the top and front. It grabs your fingerprints like nothing and scratches very easily. I had the black version so its more noticeable on black then on white and red but not sure.

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: I bought this case and let tell you, it is huge, but you have more room for installing more components
Like the heaviness of it
Tons of cable management
30 watt fan controller
PSU filters

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend gamers to buy this beast

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case Design

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: I purchased this case for a Christmas gift for my daughter. It's design made it very easy for her to work in as I guided her through the build. The space behind the side panel provided plenty of room for cable routing, and the routing holes are well placed to keep cables out of sight. The HD carriers are easy to remove for HD installation, and there are more than enough slots for future expansion. I matched it up with NZXT's Kraken x61, and the radiator easily fit out of sight on the top of the case which removes for easy installation. The result of this cases excellent design was a clean build with no headaches.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsLove the case so far

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: Really sleek and stylish (I think)
Love the modular design of the HDD/SSD cages
Tons of cable-routing
Really easy to handle

Cons: I/O LED flicks on whenever I power on the system; not sure if that's supposed to happen (might be a glitch on this particular case I have, though I should also say that I have the LED off most of the time, and turn it on with the switch as needed)

Other than the I/O LED issue

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tower

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: This case looks great. It has plenty of space inside and the removable expansion slots are a great feature. There is plenty of space for cable management and quite a few tie downs. I've received nothing but compliments with this tower and the air flow is very good.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: With this tower being so big, you may need to buy extenders for your PSU cables.

3 out of 5 eggsGood case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: Front 200mm fan produces quite a bit of air and has three speed switches.

Hard disk bays are removable which helps airflow a lot.

PCI-e slot covers have air holes, although I just remove the slot covers.

Lots of ports for cabling and water tubes although there could be even more tie-down holders in various places for jury-rigging internal case fans and such.

Looks pretty nice. I prefer the white version but the lack case is also nice.

PSU has plenty of space for pulling in air and a filtered intake.

Can mount a radiator on the bottom of the case in front of the PSU or put a water pump/res combo there like I did.

Pretty roomy.

No plexi window on the opposite panel so you can lay down the case to work in it without scratching everything.

The light switch is a nice touch, although I would like to see a second light inside the case.

Has good feet.

140mm exhaust fan instead of an outdated 120mm like some large cases still have.

Finger-twist screws for the side panels and for all the drive bays.

Cons: Fan controller is not PWM. It would be better to have the case fans on PWM.

The front portion of the top panel has no air holes so a 360mm radiator suffers. It is also tapered so if the fans are in pull there is little space for the first fan on the rad. Even in push there is not a lot of space for hot air or holes for it to readily escape through.

Front fan is somewhat blocked by the bracket for attaching the drive bays so even if the bays are removed the airflow is not optimal.

The compression fit of the plastic panels makes it noisy to get them on and off and sometimes rather sloppy (really having to yank)

There are no air holes in the panel for using a fan behind the motherboard.

The 5 1/4" drive bay is riveted in so you have to leave it, cut it out, or somehow undo the rivets.

Mine came with two "RESET SW" front panel headers and no "POWER SW" header but I figured out which "reset" was the power header.

Manual is minimalist.

No foam on panels to curb high-pitch noise.

Removing dust filters for cleaning is not as easy as it could be.

SSD mount behind the motherboard has minimal cooling, if any. I taped mine down right below the front intake fan after removing the drive bays.

I had to swap in all the standoffs from my HAF case to get my 970A-UD3P 2.0 motherboard to post. The larger ones in this case apparently aren't compatible with that board.

Other Thoughts: The high position of the exhaust fan, in comparison with the intake, seems to encourage heat from the GPU to be pulled upward through the case. I would think that having direct air paths would be more efficient. Why not have two 200mm intake fans, one at the top of the front and one at the bottom of the front and a partition to keep GPU heat away from the top half — with a second 140mm fan mount on the bottom of the back to pull out GPU heat? This would create two direct air paths.

I have no idea why the 140mm side fan holder is placed where it is. It seems like it would just interfere with the airflow from the front fan.

The ATX design is anachronistic. It's not good for cooling the VRM area or for dealing with GPU heat.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge case, Great price

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: Didn't realize how big a full tower is. Apparently, I'd only ever seen mid-towers. This thing is HUGE! Stock fans keep everything running nice & cool while also having plenty of room for future upgrades. The cable management feature makes for a nice clean view through the side of the case. Rear I/O LED allows for I/O changing in the dark

Cons: None really.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case!

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: This case has Tons of fan slots. The airflow keeps me running nice and cool. Looks nice when it's clean, but because it's high gloss black, everything shows up. It is a FULL tower, so make sure your cables are long enough.

Cons: Not a lot of cons here. Because there are a lot of fans, it's a little louder than my last case, but it's expected. High gloss makes finger prints and dog hair stand out. Only real con for me is I have a corsair water cooler that the hose is too short to run to the bottom of the case and the top bends the hose a little more than I'd like.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Case

This review is from: NZXT Phantom 530 Black ATX Full Tower Computer Case Includes 1 x 200mm Front, 1 x 140mm Rear 2 x USB 3.0 Fan Controller

Pros: Very nice case, good build quality, good size easy access.

O/L very happy with purchase. Might buy another soon.

Cons: Not sure how useful the fan controller is vs. using onboard MB control. Cant turn off those back light LEDs without killing power to fan controller. Handy, but would prefer a switch.

Other Thoughts: Glossy (black) finish. Shows finger prints and dust.
