Phantom 630
Introducing the Phantom 630 Windowed Edition
You have been asking for this for a while and we've delivered...

NZXT presents the Phantom 630 Windowed Edition - the same revolutionary, award-winning chassis that took bold innovation to the next level with a large side panel window.

In 2010, the original Phantom shook the industry with its daring, timeless design. The following year, NZXT brought the well-received Phantom design to a mid-sized tower with the Phantom 410. In 2012, the Phantom 820, again, raised the bar for an entire industry, with its integrated HUE lighting system and limitless cooling potential. NZXT released the Phantom 630 in 2013 to rave reviews with only one complaint, the window.

Phantom 630

Now, NZXT brings the same innovation of the completely redesigned interior of the Phantom 630 to the exterior with the new Windowed Edition.

Engineered to satisfy any enthusiast's desires, the Phantom 630 features fully modular internal drive bays that can be reorganized to your heart's content. With all hard drive bays in place, the Phantom 630 is still able to achieve high performance liquid cooling with 360mm radiator and 240mm radiator support.

By rearranging your drive bay setup to fit with your specific needs, the Phantom 630 is able to support a countless number of creative, custom cooling configurations out of the box.

Phantom 630

If you choose to remove all drive bays to accommodate extra radiators or a large reservoir, the Phantom 630 comes with two SSD mounts located behind the motherboard tray for a minimalistic setup with maximum cooling and cable management capability.

Along with an integrated 30W single channel fan controller, the Phantom 630 also features a dual-level motherboard tray, offering unrivaled cable management and airflow capabilities. Further minimizing cable clutter, the Phantom 630 is equipped with a rear-mounted multi-port fan hub for a simple and clean fan controller setup.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: - Mostly metal
- Removable hard drive bays
- mounting for SSD's on rear of motherboard tray
- Space
- Price (on sale)
- Good amount of front panel connections
- Filters for fans

Cons: Clearance at the top of the case could be better, it could cause problems depending on how you are cooling your system

Additionally, the length of the case could also cause some problems.

Other Thoughts: The cons reflect the fact that the system I built was liquid cooled and that I ran into radiator problems.

On the top of the case a 45mm 360 radiator will take up the top 5 inch bay. And depending on your motherboard, you might not even be able to fit all of your fans onto a radiator that size (which was the problem I ended up running into, simply not enough clearance between the top of the motherboard tray and the top of the case). There is little you can do about this sense there isn't enough room to put the radiator where the top 200mm fans would go (part of that is because of the front panel USB and switches, the other part has to do with height clearance).

I ended up getting a 30mm 360 radiator and that fits nicely and I can have the fans setup in push-pull with no issues.

On the bottom of the case you may run into length issues if you liquid cool. The space between the power supply and a radiator can be tight. I am running an EVGA g2 850 and there is just enough room to get everything connected with the radiator in there. If you have a PSU over 7 inches long, you are probably in for trouble. The system I built had a 65mm 240 radiator on the bottom, and it is a tight fit, with basically no wiggle room once the radiator was secured to the case.

All in all I think that this is a great case, and if you are air cooling you won't have any problems. If you are liquid cooling, it does have a few areas that need improvement, but it is still a good case overall.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great Case. Very Customizeable. Great Air Flow.

Cons: Front facing is very hard to remove.

Other Thoughts: This case looks great and is very well designed. However, the front cover is held on by 6 pinch and pull screws and these screws are very cumbersome to release. You will probably need TWO people to help you remove the front plate. With just myself working on it I broke one of the screws which incidentally helped me to remove the case easier.

4 out of 5 eggsRelatively Pleased

Pros: I don't think I could have bought a better case, overall. 200mm fans in the front, side (non-windowed model), and top. Plenty of space and airflow. Surprisingly quiet, considering I have 8 fans in total running in the case.

Love the configurable HD bays.

Cons: As someone else mentioned, the side panel fit is rather loose. I stuck some small pieces of foam in the hinge area, to counter that problem (potential rattling/noise).

Seeing that my model wasn't the only one here, with that issue, it's apparent NZXT needs to tighten up it's quality control. That loose door is a minor issue, but it takes an otherwise spectacular product, down a notch.

4 out of 5 eggsReally Great Case

Pros: It is really big case. You can expand in it later for the future. Also you can install a 780ti with no problem it fits with hard drive case in.

Cons: I think mine was defective the 12v power connector only came with 3 pins but that was all. -1 egg might send it in for an RMA but first Im gonna test it.

Other Thoughts: I still think that NZXT is still a good company.

5 out of 5 eggswow this case is masive

Pros: so much room to work with in this case. its like a builders dream come true. so many fan options you can fit some big cards in here with ease.

Cons: the windowed side panel is a little lose not sure if just mine or all of them.

Other Thoughts: coming from a nzxt pahntom 410 gunmetal to this gunmetal nzxt 630. the main reason i switched was because the 410 didnt support push pull on my h100i but the 630 does since its huge. this may help some people because when i was looking i couldnt find any measurements on the case. its 24 inches deep about 23 inches in height and about 9 in width,

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the most part

Pros: -lots of room
-easy to clean dust filters
-good fans
-has a light in the back for ports at night and you can turn it off
-Solid case very well made except for some issues listed below

Cons: -bright light strip by power button you cannot turn off

-buttons on this case are cheap and I mean really cheap
the power button tilts to the sides if you do not hit it dead center and the fan speed bar tilts in and digs in. feels like im going to snap them off.

-optics drive, ok so most cases i have seen have a door to cover the optics drive area and so dose this one. But while most are designed to push the door open if your tray opens this one dose not.... your tray will catch in the inside corner of your door, not good.

-there are filters for about half the intakes while the other half has non so your case is still going to be full of dust but it might save you some cleaning on the fans

Other Thoughts: if the made it so you could black your case out completely, fixed the door in the front and got buttons that were worth a dam this case would be freaking sweet~

4 out of 5 eggsAll boxes checked

Pros: - Numerous water cooling mounting options
- Looks amazing (subjective)
- Plenty of room to work with on both sides of the motherboard
- The steel/plastic construction exceeded my expectations in terms of quality.
- The I/O light is a great feature

Cons: - Some of the cables in my case were terminated very loosely. one of the wires in the one of the fan headers had fallen out completely.
- The side panels fall off pretty easily when you take the screws out. I almost dropped one side and probably would have broken the window.

Other Thoughts: - This is an amazing case, and looks beautiful when paired with the Sabertooth z87. I wanted a more subdued color scheme in my latest build and this ended up working out perfectly.
- The SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard are a great idea, but they to not really work well with 90 degree connectors. I was able to make it work , but I was uncomfortable with the stress on the SSD connector so I put the SSD in one of the drive cages. Make sure your PSU has straight connectors if you ant to use them.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic looking case with plenty of space

Pros: I needed to setup a higher end home server, gaming, and video editing rig. So I needed a case with lots of space for drives, cable routing, airflow, and one that looks cool in the home office. This is exactly what I was looking for! The full size window helps show the clean interior due to back panel cable space. Very impressive and easy to setup.

Cons: Just be sure you have enough space for the case. It's not the largest, but bigger than typical. But if you're looking at something in this price range you are discerning and already know this is one of the best.

Also, not really a "con" but I didn't need the fan speed control switch as my motherboard allows me to programatically take care of this.

Other Thoughts: Setup:
Intel i7-4930K LGA 2011 CPU
ASUS X79 DELUXE LGA 2011 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX780 SuperClocked ACX Cooler 3GB GDDR5
16 GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz
Samsung Pro Series 256 GB SATA 6GB/s SSD
NZXT Phantom 630 Windowed Edition Gunmetal Steel
NZXT T Hue RGB LED Color Changing Controller
Rosewill 75 In 1 Internal Card Reader
Seasonic 850W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
CORSAIR Hydro Series H80i High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler
Windows 8.1 Pro
