5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cse!!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Nice case with lots of room for those BIG video cards, several hard drives and optical drives. I found it really easy to install the new ASUS motherboard with much room left over. Could have gone with a much larger motherboard. The case has it's own fan controls and large fans that are relatively quiet and really keep my gaming system cool. Room left over after installing 3 hard drives and two optical drives. The motherboard mounting board has lots of available routing options to keep all the wires tucked neatly behind the motherboard keeping the main bay area clear for good air flow. Easy hard drive installation and front panel access is a breeze. Bottom mounted power supply is nice. GREAT COOLING! Front panel fan controls, USB 2.0 and 3.0, and eSATA jacks. Red LED lighted fans are nice but not annoyingly bright. Easy to remove side panel to help access 5.25 bays. BOTH sides easily remove to facilitate easy cable routing through rubber padded holes in the main motherboard panel. TOP of the case has louvered panels that can be easily opened for more cooling or left closed.

Cons: Rather heavy, but that really just makes it more stable, however, carrying this thing to the work table was a workout. No Front panel support for Firewire but that is easily worked around. MAKE SURE your power supply has LONG power cables!!

Other Thoughts: Bought this case because I ran out of room in my mid tower system, cables were packed in tight and bad air flow. The Vid card barely fit.
Everything has ROOM again, bought a large R9 video card that now has ample room and lots of room for drives and peripherals. Room for front panel card reader AND sound card front panel WITH two optical drives. No more cramped packed in cabling taking up all the room. Been building computers since 1990 and this is a really great full tower case.

5 out of 5 eggsSubstantial

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Very sturdy and very roomy. Excellent air flow.

Cons: Heavy, but that is to be expected with such a substantial rig.

Other Thoughts: It has all the features that higher priced towers do, including fan controls. I had to cut off the supports for a bottom fan in order to get my 1600 watt psu to fit, but not everyone would go for that much power. Don't put it off if you are thinking of building a new system.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: It looks awesome. It has more than plenty of space for any setup you would like to run. It also features nice cable management, and placement for many large fans for those of you who like quieter cases.

It also features many extra slots for drives on the top and bottom.

I installed a Noctua NH-D15 with the second fan extended about 3/4 of an inch to make clearance for taller ram, and this case fits it perfectly.

I also liked the little touch of being able to physically remove the PSU intake dust filter for proper cleaning.

Cons: It has no good gripping points, it's heavy (even empty), and it's very large, and can be difficult to get a grip with both hands on the bottom.

All added up this makes for a case that is very hard to move should you wish to move it outside for a proper dusting, on a desk for component upgrades/swaps or simply somewhere else in the home for redecoration.

Other Thoughts: *Before I go on, I'd just like to say that this doesn't warrant removing one egg, as it was my fault for my bad handling of the case. This is just a warning for others not to make my mistake.

Make sure you remove the dust filter before you try to move this case around. If absolutely necessary you can also remove the PSU and it'll add probably the only reliable and sturdy gripping point this case has.

I gripped mine from the bottom and walking through a doorway I had to contort myself slightly due to my grip on the case and the specific room I needed to enter. Just as I got into the next room, the filter slipped right out and I dropped the case.

Case took virtually no damage minus a small nick right front and center from where it hit the corner of a wall, and the plastic on the dust filter snapping in half. Glued it back together and all is well.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill THOR V2 Gaming case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: This case was more than I bargained for, talk about room.
I've been building pc's and servers for over 25 years and this case was a welcome surprise, cable management and plenty of room.
For the money ,I think its one of the best cases I have had the pleasure to work with.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I thought the layout was well planned.
Plenty of storage for hard drives or dvds.
I installed a cooler Master Nepton 240 with plenty of room to spare
and the cooling lines just dropped right into place,no sharp corners.
Oh yea and the THOR logo looks cool all lit up. not enough time for me to talk about the rest of the system, I would recommend this case to any one not looking to spend a fortune on a higher end tower.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Airflow!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Amazing airflow. Great design. Plenty of room to work with. No need for water cooling with this case so long as you don't overclock.

Cons: It arrived slightly broken. The top part is plastic and these cheap little thin plastic prongs snap it in place. There was no damage to the shipping box but the prongs in the back were all snapped off. Not a huge deal But still. I called newegg to ask to see if i could get a new top. They were willing to RMA it however i can use glue. No need to ship it back to cali and not have a case for 2 weeks. Not over something so little.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 4 stars only because of the cheap thin plastic parts that connect the plastic to the metal. I would and will recommend this case to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsJUST BUY IT!!!!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: I used the Rosewill THOR V2 for my most recent builds and I don't think I'll ever use another case that doesn't have this companies name on it. I've been using the CM HAF X for full tower builds and I still like them but not as much as I liked this case.
Why I liked it? Some much to list here. Its as if the good people a Rosewill listened to every complaint any rig builder has ever had about full tower cases and addressed them directly. It was a pleasure to work with it at every point. This case made everything easy...everything. The case looks awesome just sitting at rest. Its big and roomy. Cable management was perfectly designed. One of the cleanest looking builds I've done...not a wire in sight. The chevron shaped, baffle like vents in the top look really cool but I'm not sure why you would ever shut them unless you wanted to route more of the exhaust through the rear for some reason. There's no side window however once everything is in and lit up you can see the entire inside through the screen. The bottom mounted PSU is cool and the slide out filter is a nice tough. The three stock 230mm fans were great. However, I replaced the top and side ones with 2 BitFenix Spectre LED Red 230mm Case Fans. That added a whole new look to the top vents when opened and lit. I also ended up replaceing the rear 140mm fan with Cooler Masters Ventura 140XL liquid cooling system. Its a huge push/pull cooler but the fit very easily in this case.

But for me the biggest get was the front bezel fan controllers. Silly right? Not for me. I really appreciated it. Here's why. The case has several fan possibilities. So many that I could see wires going everywhere trying to make then all work. Some from the MB...some from the PSU...it can be a mess. This case lets you route power right to the controllers and then hook up three fans to each controller. You can do left side all three intake fans and left side all exhaust and still hook up the CPU cooler right to the MB for a constant feed to the heat sink or water block. The finished product looks very clean and is very efficient.

Buy this case!!! You'll love it.

Cons: If I had to come up with one it would be that I wish the top and side fans already had the red LED 2300mm fans installed. Those baffles on top look sick with the red glow coming from between them.

Other Thoughts: What ever happened to the white dog poop I used to see everywhere as a kid?

5 out of 5 eggsCOOL case...literally

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: This case could serve as an air conditioner -- it is so cool it's amazing. My processor and video card don't know what heat is. There's tons of space for whatever you could imagine putting in your rig, and the cord management is actually pretty decent. It's wicked sturdy, and there's awesome fins that open up on top. FINS. That is all.

Cons: It does run a bit loud.

Other Thoughts: A huge case -- something to consider. Check out the measurements before you buy. I built my desk around it, so it wasn't an issue for me, but most folks have desks already in place.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case but it needs some love

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Overall a pretty good case. Can fit my NH-U14S cooler with no problem. Plenty of space behind the motherboard for cables. Feels sturdy and well made. Lots of drive slots and runs relatively quiet considering the fans.

Cons: My biggest problem with this case is the standoffs. More specifically the piece of junk tool they give you to tighten them into the case. It's made of a rubber/plastic material that fits around the standoff to screw them in tighter. My screw driver ate through that thing after 3 standoffs. Not well made at all. Second, the CPU power connector didn't fit through the hole at the top of the case which made me a little angry. Not huge deal but it doesn't look as clean as it should. The rear fan can get a little loud at times but nothing crazy.

Other Thoughts: Be aware that the fans are all 3 pins and are designed for the 2 fan controllers. Something to keep in mind if your motherboard has extra fan slots. The LEDs on the front fan are pretty weak and cannot be seen through the mesh very much unless your looking head on at it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: - Lots of space.

- Awesome airflow. I haven't seen any of my air-cooled components break 40c under load.

- Solid, quality construction.

- No sharp edges when removing expansion kits for graphics cards (I had a friend slice open his hand on a case expander on one of his builds. Wouldn't happen with this case!)

- Removable fan filter for the power supply (I haven't determined if the second filter is removable - don't have a fan there yet).

- 4 large fans already pre-installed

- Side-mount 2.5-3.5" drive bays

A little about the layout:
The case is very thermodynamically conscious.

- There are two large intake fans at the bottom front/side of the case (one blowing directly over the drives, one blowing onto the motherboard).

- There is an equally large exhaust fan at the very top of the case.

- There is a slightly smaller exhaust fan at the top/back of the case. For my build, I mounted a Corsair H55 up there and removed the stock fan; the Corsair fan is smaller, but I can always place that other fan at the bottom of the case as another intake, if I really wanted it.

Cons: - The cable on the side-panel fan will get caught in its blades and rattle if you aren't careful; I'd recommend keeping it tied in on the case somewhere that won't put pressure on either the fan or the motherboard.

- I'd have liked a bit more room for cable management. I didn't happen to have a modular power supply, and some of the larger bundled cables are about an inch in diameter. If you aren't careful with how you tie them down, you could get bowing in the side panel. However, if you get a modular PSU or are careful in your bundling/management, it shouldn't be a problem.

- The reset button on the face plate is not threaded through its slot. It does not cause my system to reset unexpectedly, and I can still utilize the switch if I push where it's resting, so I don't think it's enough of an issue to warrant knocking an egg off. I might have to go in and see if I can thread it through properly, though.

Other Thoughts: When assembling, make sure that you have a flashlight. The standoff holes have embossed numbers, and they are difficult to see if you don't have a flashlight.

If you have a carpeted floor like I do, you might consider putting the case on some sort of stand. The power supply is bottom mount, and Rosewill recommends pointing the PSU fan down toward the fan filter, instead of up into the case.

This case is a monster. It's almost 2 feet tall by almost 2 feet deep by almost 1 foot wide - make sure you've got ample space wherever you're planning to put it, and that said space has enough room around it to allow air to circulate properly. If space is not an issue, I would highly recommend this case to both new and advanced system builders alike.
