5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Big,it is freaking huge but that is one of the things I love about it. Cable management is great,it looks great, lots and lots of room on the inside for anything you choose to put in it.

Cons: There is no cons. Anyone who says the size of this case is a con, then they didn't read the dimensions of the case before buying and it's their own fault.

Other Thoughts: This is the 1st build I have done in about 8 years. The computer I'm replacing is one I built, but it's time is over.
This build--
Rosewill Thor V2 case
Asus Z-97 Pro-Gamer MB
Intel i5-4690k devils canyon
G.Skill Sniper low voltage 1600 DDR3 8GB

Things from my other computer that I will be using-
PNY gForce GTX 750 video card
Intel 530 series SSD 240GB
BFG 650W power supply (Will be buying a new 750W modular soon)
Also in the near future I will be getting the Corsair H100i liguid cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast of a case!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: -Sturdy, very durable. Had this thing well over a year and has not had any issues
-Design is great, LED lights and fins make it look amazing
-Airflow is nice, great use of fans and fins. Keeps things nice and cool
-Enough room for any setup you want

Cons: It is hard to come up with any cons for this case, but the only one I could think of is;
-If you don't have a large area to keep this thing, it might be hassle to fit it in a small space.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Customer Service and product

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: -Huge, so the fans don't need to have high speed to give the system a good cooling. I have an i5 4690k and gtx 970 (both not overclocked), run bf4 ultra extremly smoothly, and the graphics card doesn't get over 70C at the lowest speed.
-Very beautiful case, every time I look at it, i'm amazed at how cool it is.
-LEDs are cool!
-Amazing air flow
-GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The top had broken pins when I received it (which was just a minor inconvenience). I contacted the customer support to ask if something could be done. I wasn't expecting anything, but they said : we'll send you a piece when we'll have one available. It took 5 mins of my time overall, and exactly 2 months later, I received the top, free of charge. It may sound like a long time, but for an issue so minor, it's really not a big deal.

Cons: Not any!

Other Thoughts: If you buy this case, don't worry about airflow, it will be perfect. The fans are not loud at all. I always open the top, so I hear them a bit, but it's not annoying at all.

GREAT PRODUCT, would buy again 10/5

4 out of 5 eggs2 year update

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Excellent ventilation,
Sufficient Wire hiding/cable management placement.
Easy to clean.
Comes with more stock fans than most competitors.
Sufficient Front I/O
Looks great, starts conversations

Cons: Lacking quality in some plastic components (see other thoughts)
Stock fans are somewhat noisy
Front I/O wires are an utter mess to hide
Massive... just completely massive. Would not recommend for traveling.

Other Thoughts: Had this case for quite awhile now. Very happy with it for the most part. I have noticed over time a few plastic pieces have started to wear a bit prematurely or that should not have really worn out. In my case the Plastic feet on this case are decent for traction on hard floors and carpets but the method used to keep them in does not seem to do a very good job as I lost one in transport to a LAN (the distance of my bedroom to my living room). I rarely move the case and the fact that one of these feet just fell apart is a bit unnerving. The Stock fans they give you do a wonderful job of ventilating the case, my operating temps are noticeably impacted (by a few degrees) if have the fans on their minimum and on high speed settings, my only gripe is that they are a bit on the noisy side and are noticeable when gaming. All things considered they do come with the case and if you don't need to run them on full blast they are pretty good for the price. I would still recommend this case to anyone looking for a massive fully featured case priced at a competitive price point, you simply cannot beat the value for the money on this product!

2 out of 5 eggsBroken Pieces

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Large case, good cooling/lots of really big fans, pretty cool looking with the legs and pattern in the front.

Cons: I ordered this case because my old case wouldn't hold my new graphics card and my friend recommend this. Once it arrived I picked it up still in the box and I could hear things rattling around inside of it, I just figured whatever its probably screws or wires or something. Upon unboxing it I realized that part of the little wing on the left side had been broken off, both the top and the front pieces of the case weren't even attached because of the things that secure them being broken off, and there was some lose screws that I just tightened. It isn't really that big of deal but it required more time and effort to just fix the thing before even putting my parts in because the front of the case would literally fall off and the top would shift when barely touched. And its not like I really care what it looks like but i had to super glue the broken wing piece in and got some double sided tape/Velcro and used that to attach the front and back panel.

I also couldn't return the case because Rosewill doesn't cover damage that occurs during shipping.

It is also very heavy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cse!!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Nice case with lots of room for those BIG video cards, several hard drives and optical drives. I found it really easy to install the new ASUS motherboard with much room left over. Could have gone with a much larger motherboard. The case has it's own fan controls and large fans that are relatively quiet and really keep my gaming system cool. Room left over after installing 3 hard drives and two optical drives. The motherboard mounting board has lots of available routing options to keep all the wires tucked neatly behind the motherboard keeping the main bay area clear for good air flow. Easy hard drive installation and front panel access is a breeze. Bottom mounted power supply is nice. GREAT COOLING! Front panel fan controls, USB 2.0 and 3.0, and eSATA jacks. Red LED lighted fans are nice but not annoyingly bright. Easy to remove side panel to help access 5.25 bays. BOTH sides easily remove to facilitate easy cable routing through rubber padded holes in the main motherboard panel. TOP of the case has louvered panels that can be easily opened for more cooling or left closed.

Cons: Rather heavy, but that really just makes it more stable, however, carrying this thing to the work table was a workout. No Front panel support for Firewire but that is easily worked around. MAKE SURE your power supply has LONG power cables!!

Other Thoughts: Bought this case because I ran out of room in my mid tower system, cables were packed in tight and bad air flow. The Vid card barely fit.
Everything has ROOM again, bought a large R9 video card that now has ample room and lots of room for drives and peripherals. Room for front panel card reader AND sound card front panel WITH two optical drives. No more cramped packed in cabling taking up all the room. Been building computers since 1990 and this is a really great full tower case.

5 out of 5 eggsSubstantial

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Very sturdy and very roomy. Excellent air flow.

Cons: Heavy, but that is to be expected with such a substantial rig.

Other Thoughts: It has all the features that higher priced towers do, including fan controls. I had to cut off the supports for a bottom fan in order to get my 1600 watt psu to fit, but not everyone would go for that much power. Don't put it off if you are thinking of building a new system.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: It looks awesome. It has more than plenty of space for any setup you would like to run. It also features nice cable management, and placement for many large fans for those of you who like quieter cases.

It also features many extra slots for drives on the top and bottom.

I installed a Noctua NH-D15 with the second fan extended about 3/4 of an inch to make clearance for taller ram, and this case fits it perfectly.

I also liked the little touch of being able to physically remove the PSU intake dust filter for proper cleaning.

Cons: It has no good gripping points, it's heavy (even empty), and it's very large, and can be difficult to get a grip with both hands on the bottom.

All added up this makes for a case that is very hard to move should you wish to move it outside for a proper dusting, on a desk for component upgrades/swaps or simply somewhere else in the home for redecoration.

Other Thoughts: *Before I go on, I'd just like to say that this doesn't warrant removing one egg, as it was my fault for my bad handling of the case. This is just a warning for others not to make my mistake.

Make sure you remove the dust filter before you try to move this case around. If absolutely necessary you can also remove the PSU and it'll add probably the only reliable and sturdy gripping point this case has.

I gripped mine from the bottom and walking through a doorway I had to contort myself slightly due to my grip on the case and the specific room I needed to enter. Just as I got into the next room, the filter slipped right out and I dropped the case.

Case took virtually no damage minus a small nick right front and center from where it hit the corner of a wall, and the plastic on the dust filter snapping in half. Glued it back together and all is well.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill THOR V2 Gaming case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: This case was more than I bargained for, talk about room.
I've been building pc's and servers for over 25 years and this case was a welcome surprise, cable management and plenty of room.
For the money ,I think its one of the best cases I have had the pleasure to work with.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I thought the layout was well planned.
Plenty of storage for hard drives or dvds.
I installed a cooler Master Nepton 240 with plenty of room to spare
and the cooling lines just dropped right into place,no sharp corners.
Oh yea and the THOR logo looks cool all lit up. not enough time for me to talk about the rest of the system, I would recommend this case to any one not looking to spend a fortune on a higher end tower.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Airflow!

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Supports up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, comes with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan

Pros: Amazing airflow. Great design. Plenty of room to work with. No need for water cooling with this case so long as you don't overclock.

Cons: It arrived slightly broken. The top part is plastic and these cheap little thin plastic prongs snap it in place. There was no damage to the shipping box but the prongs in the back were all snapped off. Not a huge deal But still. I called newegg to ask to see if i could get a new top. They were willing to RMA it however i can use glue. No need to ship it back to cali and not have a case for 2 weeks. Not over something so little.

Other Thoughts: I gave it 4 stars only because of the cheap thin plastic parts that connect the plastic to the metal. I would and will recommend this case to anyone.
