5 out of 5 eggsRosewill THOR V2

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: - Large, will fit just about anything you throw in it
- Plenty of options for chord management.
- Good stock air flow. Also, fans are pretty quiet. On full output, they are audible, but not bad.
- Nice sleek look.

Cons: - Too big? If you want good chord management, you will need extensions in order to hide everything in the back panel. Namely, the power chords (ENERMAX Platimax 850W)

Other Thoughts: My EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Dual Classified, didn't quite line up with the screw mount on the case. Not sure if this is due to the video card, my ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer motherboard, or the THOR V2 case. Just figured I would identify it. A little maneuvering and I was able to get it to line up, but it doesn't fit like a glove.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Dust prevention
Great Cable Management
Stock fans work great

Cons: So far none

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this case to just about anyone. The case is huge but it allows for great cable management and good ventilation. The fins allow for increased heat management as well as dust protection when the case is being used less.

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: This case is really incredible. I'm amazed by how cool and how quiet it is. The 230 mm fans are nearly silent, and i have them cranked up to full throttle. The loudest fan in my case is a Noctua 140mm i'm using, and those are notorious for being silent, so yeah, the fans are quiet.

My idle temps (gpu and cpu) are under 30 degrees celcius. Load they're mid 50s. The same setup in a different case was upper 40s idle and 70s load. That's a huge difference.

The doors. They are designed brilliantly. They the type that you place on and try to slide forward getting all the stuff to line up, instead they bassically get slotted into a hinge type system and swing open/shut. Easiest time i've ever had putting on a side panel. Also helping is the fact that the motherboard tray side has a bunch of room for all your cable management so the door closes without having to apply a ton of force. I usually have to lay the case on it's side and put all of my weight onto the panel to close it, not with this case.

Installing anything on the front panel is incredibly easy as well. You don't have to take off the front panel to pop anything in there, instead the top right piece of plastic slides off and you can take off one of the bay slot covers and then put it back on.

Cons: There are a few nitpicks i have with this case. The biggest complaint i have are the top fins. What is the point? It looks kind of cool i guess but the mechanism that is supposed to open/close them barely works. Also, why would you ever want them closed? I've read it's so the case wont be so loud but it's already about as quiet as it can get.. and if the fins are closed what is the point of having a fan up there? It's going to exhaust no air and make the case hot, or intake no air and make the case hot. Get rid of them.

The rubber raisers that keep the PSU lifted off the bottom of the case are a good idea, but they're barely glued on. One of mine fell off and i had to super glue it back on.

The covers for the rear expansion bays are terrible quality. They are sharp, pointy, scrap looking mesh metal things.

Other Thoughts: Buy this case. Stop looking around and buy it. Even with the cons i have mentioned i still think this is the best case on the market.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor quality top ports

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Good construction inside the case

Cons: The top front board is poor quality. I had 2 USB ports break in 2 monthes time. I contacted Rosewill support and even though its under warranty they want to charge me for the parts and shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Spacious, rubber grommets, excellent cable management.
Solid design, strong side panels.
All Black including the inside.
It has the ability to turn off the LED fan. Big plus when your gaming.
Very Quite.
Good cooling

Rubber angled storage bay on front top.
High ANGLED USB\Audio front!!!!!! this is a big plus so that you don't get your USB key broken off by someone walking by, or the cat or dog.

Cons: Not Toolless.
You need to use tools to mount the drives.
I would preferred a clip\pin system instead.

Other Thoughts: I own a HAF, 932, and a 942 which is my primary gaming rig right now. I have purchased and setup two HAF 922's. So I know a a lot about larger cases in this price range.
I watched the video review and decides to get one.
I like big cases that are easy to work in and that have large quite fans.
I purchased a second Thor V2.
I LOVE THEM.
they are priced better, have the rubber around the cable management which my HAF's don't have. Are all black including the insides which is very nice that only my very expensive HAF 942 has.
For the money you can not get a better case.
Currently it is 125 plus 16 dollars shipping. a steal in my opinion.
I very strongly recommend this case.

To me this will be a case that we will keep around removing parts and reusing the case. No more are we going to by a case every time we by a computer.

Lots of venthilation

Cons: Fan Speed Control did not work

5 out of 5 eggsLarge, and Awesome

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Cable Management
Interior Space
Lots of fans + Fan speed control knobs (I just use them for volume control, make the fans quieter at night).
Sturdy

Cons: Heavy and Large (but then it is a full tower)
Not really a fan of the bottom mount PSU's, means I can't set the computer on the floor or it'll start sucking up all the carpet dust.

Other Thoughts: Was hesitant to move from a mid tower to a full tower but I'm glad I did, this guy, with as much room as he's got, barely fit my new GPU (if you're curious, look up the ASUS Geforce GTX690 dimensions). Comes with LOTS of cable ties and such for cable management. Not really sure why anyone would have the flaps on top closed so why it's adjustable, I have no clue, but the're kinda cool looking. Would have liked the hdd light to be separate from the two red bar lights on the front panel (sometimes hard to discern if the amber hdd light is on or not next to the red light, though I'm glad it's not a blue or green light).
Just be aware, it is heavy and awkward to carry so don't be planning on moving it much (mine, with everything in it, weighs between 50 and 60 pounds).
And as always, Newegg is awesome.
