4 out of 5 eggsAmazing case bad documents

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Great case in size and strength I had to leave it outside for a virtual reality display underneath a awning and such of course and when the rain started dropping not a single drop went into the case when i shut the top down. Best amount of money i have ever spent on anything

Cons: Poor documentation it took me about an hour or so to figure out that it was forced to go through the fan controls

Other Thoughts: just a little heads up the molex connectors on the front are what controls your fans and you have to go thru the fans not the chasis fan controls on the motherboard

4 out of 5 eggsGREAT CASE but too heavy

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: This case is really awesome looking. It is sleek. It is badbehind <-- can't say the equivalent of bad donkey here. It just looks wonderful. There is a lot of space given that it is a full tower and it is really tall. The case generally is very durable except the top. The red LED light makes it look aggressive which is a good thing. The fans and the fan nobs are just great. They are huge and they are many and that is great.

Cons: Not a lot of cons except the fact that the top of the case feels very flimsy like it is made of cheaper plastic.
The top fan flaps are very hard to slide open with its slider.
The fan speed control nob plugs are really bad cheap quality that it was a pain in the behind to plug because the prongs kept moving and so it was hard to align them.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case, poor documentation.

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Nice big case. I like the way you can run the cables on the back side. Lots of fans and good fan control. I like the top mounted ports.

Cons: I wish the documentation had been better. They had a number of "fan" wires coming from the control panel. I don't build a lot of systems so I didn't understand immediately how to set up the fans, had to do some research. That should have been in the provided documentation, especially since it is a pretty unique feature with this case.

Other Thoughts: This is a big case with a bottom mounted power supply. The power connections to my motherboard were opposite the power supply and the cable from my Rosewill supply almost didn't reach over the graphics card.

3 out of 5 eggsBig, Bad, and nice with some design flaws.

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Huge, very high quality, plenty of options and it just plain looks cool!!

Cons: If I had to knock it for anything it would have to be the covers over the optical drive bays. They come with a twist out block off plate and mesh covers with fabric behind them, but very poor design of them.

Other Thoughts: The covers over the optical drive bays really brings down an otherwise stunning case. They have twist out block off plates and mesh outer grills backed with a black cloth to keep dust? out and hide the view of the inside of the case. When the case arrived 2 of the twist off plates were loose and nearly all of the mesh covers had their cloth missing/loose. To most people that wouldn't be a big deal, but to somebody like me who is very big on the outer appearance of the case it was a huge let down. The mesh screens block off the unused optical drive bays and the black cloth keeps you from having to look at the inside of the case and bare metal. It took me nearly 2 hours to pull each screen out and fix the mesh covering and reinstall everything. Other than that it's a very nice case. And before you lose your mind and get mad about the case not coming with any accessories, look for the black cardboard box inside the HHD/SSD drive bay. I didn't see it at first.

5 out of 5 eggsHad it for years

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: This case is absolutely fantastic. It has excellent cable routing, excellent room, and good airflow with the option of having ridiculous case air flow. I've always been one to stick fans here there and everywhere in all my cases. This thing comes with such great cooling stock that I added a 120mm Scythe liquid ball bearing fan to the bottom as an intake and left it alone. It has sturdy rubberized feet on the bottom for sitting on virtually any surface. I actually have mine on plush carpet and temps run about the same vs having it elevated 2 feet on a solid wood table stand. It cooled appropriately on both surfaces. I personally keep my fans cranked all the way up all the time, because you can barley hear them anyway. If you really want quiet then turn them down some and listen to the silence. The tool less design is amazing. The front port options give you crazy flexibility. The only thing with lights on mine is the lettering "Thor" it glow red. Nothing else is turned on. Provides a nice clean look without the aging "everything glowing neon" idea. It will fit ANYTHING inside of it...literally anything. I could put a puppy inside this thing with my computer hardware and not only would it fit just fine, but it would most likely stay cool as well haha.

Cons: With 4 hard drives 2 optical drives I feel like I'm at the gym when moving this thing...seriously it probably weighs the better part of 50 lbs with all my hardware.

Other Thoughts: Don't move it often.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: Monster of a case!! awesome cable management, Lots of pre installed fans great airflow, usb 3.0 up front with audio and mic jacks. fan controll speed on front setup with two knobs. recommend installing intake on one and exhaust on another.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Awesome colors, got the red and black. can mount optional 140mm fan on bottom(did) and side 230mm fan can be replaced with 4 120mm fans(did not) removed top 230mm and replaced with corsair h100i easily installed. top vent is pretty awsome.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy With This Case

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: It's large and spacious, with plenty of room to put a ton of gear inside. I had no problems whatsoever installing any components, including the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO-CPU cooler.

Cabling options were awesome and allow for most cables to route behind the MB and stay completely out of the way. It really looks clean and is great for airflow.

It's really a great looking case in my opinion and the fans run much quieter than I thought they would. I have not however, started any gaming marathons since I've owned it, yet. All lights and connections worked right away and made for a great and easy install.

Thanks Newegg for laser fast delivery and thanks to Rosewill for building what I would want out of a case!

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate: Rosewill Thor

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: As my initial review this case is awesome!
Easy to install everything.

Cons: The only con would be that the switch for the red front fan didn't last 30 days. But not worth returning.
Had to remove switch and hard wire it.
Not really a big deal since I leave the light on anyway.

Other Thoughts: I reduced eggs from 5 to 4 because of the switch.
Otherwise I would buy again!

4 out of 5 eggsMassive, Roomy Chassis.

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: I'm sure anybody looking at this chassis has seen comprehensive Anandtech and youtube reviews on this chassis already, and you know what you are in for. Its all true, there is tons of room in this chassis. This chassis is going to house an ASUS Z97 WS motherboard with two EVGA GeForce GTX 770 Graphics cards, and I highly doubt I will be stressed for space with all the cable routing options offered by this chassis.

Four grommets above the I/O shield and rear exhaust grill for extreme cable routing or custom water cooling is a plus, I will be using a custom water cooling loop for my dual graphics card setup, since there isn't a lot of room for pre-made closed loop water cooling systems(see cons).

The air cooling! Two massive intake fans(both 230mm) and two exhaust high CFM fans means air is constantly moving throughout this chassis, and even some casual overclocking shouldn't cause a high temp issue with a traditional heat sink setup.

Tons of room in the front of the chassis in terms of the expansion slot area, I wont be running an optical drive, but I will be running custom watercooling pump/reservoir units and the expansion slots seem like the perfect location. But I will cross that bridge when I get there.

Cons: The glaringly obvious problem(and one of the few) is the allocation of room for closed loop water cooling components, these being your pre-made ones like Corsair or NZXT. This only comes into play if you are trying to mount up a 240mm rad or a 280mm rad, you cannot install the rad on the face of the chassis because the drive bay cage doesn't remove easily, and the ceiling of the chassis is a no-go because depending on your chipset and power connectors at the top of your motherboard, the fans or the rad itself will come into contact and prevent an easy installation. Both dual radiator options will require modification to an otherwise massive chassis, and the air cooling offered shouldn't require the need for water cooling anyway. I haven't yet mocked up a single rad configuration to the rear vent grill area, but with my Z97 WS it shouldn't be an issue.

Only other "complaints" might be the cable mess from the front I/O usb/Esata/mic port area, it is a rainbow of cable colours and might upset the "spick and span" cable organizer, as the routing path cannot cleanly disappear to the cable routing area on the backside of the chassis. Nothing a few minutes of sleeving cannot fix.

Other Thoughts: I doubt you can get a 'better' chassis for the price of the Rosewill Thor V2. perhaps a comparable chassis, but not a better one without spending $20-$50+. This case is in the price bracket for ATX Mid tower chassis, and that is quite the deal.

The cons listed were for components that this chassis wasn't designed for, while I did list them, I wouldn't use that as an argument against this chassis. Overall a great chassis.

5 out of 5 eggsMassive Case, Lots of space inside to expand, Compatible with H110

This review is from: Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower Computer Case, support up to E-ATX / XL-ATX, come with Four Fans - 1 x Front Red LED 230mm Fan, 1 x Top 230mm Fan, 1 x Side 230mm Fan, 1 x Rear 140mm Fan-Retail

Pros: The Good Stuff:
-Lots of space inside
-Cool design
-Very solid and durable build quality
-Enough space for cable management behind rear side panel
-Huge front fan and options for additional fans

In general I would have to give this case 5 stars because I didn't run into too many issues with the assembly of my rig

Cons: The only con I have for this case is that the struggle was real when trying to find the correct holes to screw in the H110 all in on liquid cooler to the top part of the case. I had trouble lining up the radiator and fans with the holes that are located on the top of the case. In the end I was successful but in the future to anyone who uses both in a build, be ready to encounter some issues.

When vacuuming my case to get rid of dust and other unwanted things, I didn't wan't to go through the hassle of disassembling the set up because I feared that the threads on the radiator were going to be damaged because they were already practically forced into place.

With any other 2x120 radiator you will have ample space to mount the AIO loop, so no worries for that only a 2x140 seems to be an issue.

Other Thoughts: I really enjoy having a big case like this because I know that it is made of solid steel and that it protects my expensive hardware inside from anything I don't want entering. The design of the case is awesome although I don't really see the need for red LEDs, it adds a nice menacing look to this case's already beast looking edges. Especially the top part of the case that adjust whether you need more airflow or not is a great idea.

I would definitely recommend this case to anyone who believes they need a case that will last and have enough space to offer possible expansion in the future and not run into any issues.
