Optimized for efficient cooling, and created with a sleek, professional style, the Rosewill 600 series computer case is cool in both senses of the word. Using air ducts on the front for drawing cool air in, and pushing hot air out the side and the back of the case, the 600 series is ideal for cooling any system. The front ducts are adjustable so when less air intake is needed, the ducts can be closed keeping dust out. In addition the front filter traps dust before it can reach the inside of the case. A removable hard drive cage allows for easy installation for multiple hard drives.
The top of the case is designed for optical drives which include sliding rails for an easy install, and when you need to replace an old device just slide it out and pop in a new one. Next to the power button you will find 2 USB ports and 2 audio ports as well as a flip top to hide them. All that and a 450w power supply and you're set for a great building experience. The model R604TBLK is finished in black. Black is cool, right?

Best Overall Case for the $$$
- Pros: 1) Great cooling with front, side, and rear mounts for 80-120mm fans. (Rear 120mm fan is included.) 2) Solid construction. 3) Very few sharp edges. 4) Air filter for front and side CPU blow-hole fan locations. 5) Tool-less, easy-to-remove case front. 6) Nice black finish. 7) Quick-release side panel retainers.
- Cons: 1) Tool-less internal drive retainers don't match standard drive screw holes. (No big deal to mount drives with screws though.) 2) Lacks extra PCI slot covers. (Most builders remove the original "tear-out" slot covers before installing the mobo to avoid damaging it.) 3) Lacked a few ATX mobo standoff holes to match my Gig*byte GA-965P-DS3. (No big deal - just be sure to support edge of mobo when plugging in ATX power plug.) 4) No front 1394 jack. 5) Only 7 mobo standoff pylons supplied. (Some boards need 8 or 9.) 6) Hard to see the HDD activity lamp sitting at a desk when the case is on the floor to your side. Would be nice if it was blue like the overly-bright power switch/light one is... 7) The side panel air grille is too low for cooling the NB heat sink of my DS3 mobo; will have to find another way.
- Other Thoughts: Overall this is a good looking, cool-running, solidly built case. (An absolute STEAL when on sale for $xx with free shipping!)
For people having problems with the side release slides, just loosen the tension screw a bit to open the first time (to see how/which direction it works), and then tighten it to suit your preferences once you get the "hang" of it. Once adjusted correctly, you'll wish that ALL CASES used this type of latch.
One note about fan types: I never used the supplied 120mm fan but instead bought some Masscool ball-bearing fans. (120mm rear and 80mm front, so far.) At stock speeds the fans were too loud (especially the front fan). But after wiring both fans to run at 5 volts there is still good air movement over the HDD cage and out the case back -- but you can hardly hear the fans now.
Very Nice Case
- Pros: Nice case, easy to work with. I thought the snaps on the back of the case were going to be garbage, but turns out I love them. So easy to take the side off! Tooless drives holders are ok, I like them but could be better. Nice sleek look, nothing out of the ordinary. Front USB and Floppy covers are a nice touch as well! Overall a GREAT case!
- Cons: Could use one more fan. The 120mm fan with it is nice and quiet!
- Other Thoughts: Plenty of room, Nice filters with it too.

Budget Success
- Pros: It came with 3 120 fans, was nice and fit everything I put in it to build a gaming budget rig. Buttons are sturdy. The removable filter on the front works well. The airflow is satisfactory. It looks nice. There are no problems, which for a budget case is a big pro.
- Cons: Case vibrates a little on top, and flexes. I placed a fairly heavy item on the top to control it.
- Other Thoughts: Though this is not a perfect case, for a money-saver it is a gem and recommended for system builders.
Great for the price
- Pros: Price
Three fans included Plenty of room Good internal layout Solid build (for the price!) Provides ample numbers of screws and connectors Did I mention price?
Overall good case, easier to work with than other cases I've had for lots more $$$
- Cons: Tool-free drive attachments don't work as well as they could (but are removable!)
Front panel faceplates for optical drives don't work with my Lite-ON DVD drives
- Other Thoughts: After a little tweaking of the tool-free kits, it works like a charm. Case is solid, well ventilated, and and well laid out. Not much more you can ask for from a no-nonsense straight forward case at this price point.
- Pros: Cheap price. Serves its purpose.
- Cons: No biggie.
- Other Thoughts: The HDD station runs width wise. Therefor causing a tight fit for the cover with all the sata, power cables. I have one old IDE HDD that uses an IDE to SATA adapter that protrudes out of the case. Needless to say, cover could not close. So had to mount that HDD in one of the drive bay. No biggie.
