4 out of 5 eggsGood case

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: Plugged them in and they just work. Cheap price. USB3 at top. Nice metal grill parts.

Cons: Inside mounts are plastic. Will be dust in 20 years, or sooner if it stays too warm in there. Number of fans was probably overkill.

Other Thoughts: Sure. Price was a bit high but it is a solid case and assembles very easily.

3 out of 5 eggsgood case for cheap build

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: plenty of room for drives and motherboard.

Cons: I have two issues with this case. The First is the removable front panel. Very difficult to remove without braking the plastic standoff. You will need to use needle nose pliers to pinch the standoff. The second is the distance from the power supply to the Cpu power plug. Make sure your is longer than 20 inches.

Other Thoughts: The front panel drive slot covers are held in by two side tabs not the metal mesh. Do not force anything; it will break.

2 out of 5 eggsOkay budget starter case

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: lightweight, good material, looks cool, 3 fans cool my system effectively.

Cons: poor build quality, cramped design, very little room for cable management

Other Thoughts: Within a month of using this case, the USB3 ports on the front were coming loose; one actually came loose and was pushed inside the case. I was able to get it back in with duct tape, but it's really frustrating that it was shoddy to begin with.

Also, there is almost no clearance using an ATX motherboard, so if you need any space along the edges of your motherboard (ie if your MB has SATA connections on its side) this is not the case for you.

1 out of 5 eggsthere ARE better cases out there!

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: Looks good
USB 3 front ports
Good price when caught on Sale.

Cons: see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: this case was ordered with large order. the original feet (front two) broke off. they were replaced by manufacturer free of charge 2 years later. since then they have broken off again . Argh! The front two usb3 ports have bad designed mounts that keep the ports mounted in the case. I constantly keep pulling the ports thru case to use the ports. I've since then purchased a usb3 card and a 4 port usb3 faceplate for a 3 1/2 and it's been working for 6 months without issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bargain

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: - 3 decent fans
-the screwless bays and hdd slots are awesome
-bottom mounted PSU fan slot is nice
-plastic feet keep it off the ground a little
-front panel comes off easy

Cons: -thin metal

Other Thoughts: Picked it up for $70, was very surprised to see how ease everything was in the case, the screwless HDD bays are amazing, and it has adapters for an ssd. Everything went in easy peasy. You can tell it wasnt a super expensive case, but with the fans and the usb 3.0 the case is only like $30 so for the price overall i am very happy with the purchase.

TL:DR Very good case for the price, you get what you pay for and more

5 out of 5 eggsWorked well for me

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: This case worked well for me for a budget gaming rig. I like the looks. There was plenty of room inside so it was easy to work on. After using it for about six months now, and I felt it was time to give a positive review. Well-made, sturdy, good looks. .

Cons: The fans are a little noisy but it keeps everything cool and that's what's important to me

Other Thoughts: I like it enough that I'm going to buy another one for field. My next build.

4 out of 5 eggsTrust the reviews

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: The cable management space is awesome, so is the front io interface, the power button is nice and all the filters I could want. Plus its wide enough for me to have a big 120mm dual fan cpu cooler.

Cons: The reviews about the fans are true, out of the box both the top 140 mm and front 120 mm fans were not in good order, the front fan was clearly skipped during manufacturing and still has the plastic flashings from when it was taken from the mold sticking up in the fan well with enough hot glue on it to make me avoid wanting to clean it up myself. The top fan immediatley started clicking like no tomorrow, took it out of the case to test it and it did it on its own so no wires were in the way. Do yourself a favor and buy new fans for this case their cheap as it is so an extra 20 bucks you cant go wrong

Other Thoughts: the mesh feels weird, i mean its solid and its an awesome concept but it doesnt feel meshy enough to be mesh

3 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: Gets the job done, lights up blue, front 3.0 ports, And was able to fit a Hyper T4 cooler on my CPU.

Cons: The blue LED is barely visible with the mesh on the front.
Cable management space is literally non existent, I have no cables running behind, they're all clustered inside of the case itself.

Other Thoughts: This case needed extra cable management space. The inside of my PC is a disaster because of all of the cables.

3 out of 5 eggsJust an OK box

This review is from: Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 - Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Dual Front Mounted USB 3.0 Ports, Three Preinstalled Fans: 1 x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1 x Top 140mm Fan, 1 x Rear 120mm Fan

Pros: Inexpensive, enough fans and open grills/meshes for cooling, convenient front connectors, plenty smaller and larger bays for disks.

Connectors to hold disks without screws are great.

Cons: Very tight on space. Plugging SATA connectors into motherboard is a challenge for thin and trained fingers, because metal drive cage is right in front of it. No space for common liquid coolers, if you would want to install them.

Plastic bpaces to hold and to slide in 3.5" drives have their pins in exactly the wrong places. Luckily, there are alternative holes in them. I had to move pins and small ruber rings to those alternative holes in order to hold the drive and not to stick 1 inch out of the box.

Other Thoughts: If the depth of the box would be 1 inch longer and if plastic braces could be used without rearranging pins in them, it would be near perfect.
