Rosewill's R6426-P Mid-Tower is great value for people who are trying to build an inexpensive system or who want to spend more money on the inside. Four 5.25" and 2 3.5" external bays plus 4 internal 3.5" bays provide plenty of room for storage.

An 80mm rear fan comes pre-installed. There are places to mount fans on the front of the case and on the side panel. A ducted vent is positioned in the side wall to be over the CPU fan for extra cooling efficiency.

The sleek black tower's face is only interrupted by the chrome of the power and reset buttons. A ring of blue LEDs surrounds the power switch. The drive bay covers are perforated and backed by filter mesh to help with airflow when no drives are installed.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Looks like a pro system. Very barebone features.

Cons: Not a good idea for full size mobos. Front vent is not ideally designed for airflow.

Clumsy power and reset buttons. Gets stuck all the time.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap and Gets the Job Done

Pros: The case was very cheep and has the ability to run not 1 not 2 not 3 but 4 fans. That is if you remove the air duct from the side panel. 80mm in the rear, 80mm in place of the air duct, 120 or 80mm in the side vent, and 120 or 80mm in the front of the case if your hands are small enough to get back there.

Cons: Although it's steel, sheet metal, its low gauge. It's quite flimsy. Be careful that when installing drives or expansion cards that you're absolutely sure that you want them where they are. There are metal tabs that must be removed and they can not be replaced so if you add a card or drive then remove it later, you'll have a hole for dust and possible static to enter you're case.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the money.

Pros: Low cost. Simple design. Simple good looks.

Cons: Doesn't fit high end large profile video cards.
Like most low cost cases it has thin metal on the sidewalls and brittle plastic for the front bezel.
No filters in the front for dust and such.
Pre-cut fan/air areas in the sidewall of the case.

Other Thoughts: If you aren't moving the case around alot or constantly changing internal components then this is an excellent case. It cools well and holds all basic components without clutter. I have used several of these for servers and have never had a problem with them.

5 out of 5 eggsA FRIGGIN WIND TUNNEL

Pros: this case looks nice. i bought this for a build i did for my mom and i love it. the air flow is really nice and i currently have 5 fans installed; 1 120mm in the front, 1 80mm on the side blowing out, the stock rear 92mm and the psu. sure it was a bit flimsy... when its empty! once i got everything installed it was good to go. i also like the telescoping cpu duct, it fits right snug over it drawing cool air in :)

Cons: the side panels are kinda thin but hey, that really doesnt make a difference. the 92mm fan that comes with it is really quiet but it doesnt move very much air. thats fine though because i have an 80mm on the side. there really isnt any major cons i can think of.

Other Thoughts: my moms system now consists of:
Rosewill R6426-P BK Case
ASUS M2A74-AM mobo
AMD Sempron 2.7ghz OC'd to 2.85
Raidmax 380w psu
same CD drives and HDDs from her last comp.

3 out of 5 eggsFlimsy..But works

Pros: Cheap... Even with shipping. Roomy.

Cons: You get what you pay for. Came in with one of the sides boxed in. Nothing some light hammering couldnt fix. Newegg should pay more attention to shipping this thing. Parts are flimsy and weak.

2 out of 5 eggsnot ment for after market coolers

Pros: holes so air can come in so the system can breathe

Cons: flimsy, to small for a after market cooler such as a tuniq tower 120mm flimsy, usb plugs wont match some mobos,

Other Thoughts: spend 10 bux more and get a better case DOUH

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good looking case. inexpensive. feels very solid. enough space for drives and stuff both inside and out.

Cons: the side panel doesn't quite fit perfectly on the case, it sticks out a bit. also, unless i missed something, the only way to mount hard drives on the inside makes them stick out over the motherboard a bit blocking my board's IDE port. but i don't need it so i don't care.

Other Thoughts: great case for the value. the power light on the front is super cool.

4 out of 5 eggsGood buy

Pros: Streamlined look, great ventilation, room for 3 fans, metal construction (not ABS).

Cons: Can be somewhat difficult to install components due to its small size.

Other Thoughts: No complaints, great case. Looks cool with led fans.

5 out of 5 eggsCooling Information

Pros: See "Other Thoughts"

Cons: See "Other Thoughts"

Other Thoughts: I just wanted to pass on some information about the cooling options for this case.

There are 4 default mounting points for fans:

1) 120 mm fan slot near the bottom of the front side of the case, just in front of the hdd bay. You can add the fans without block hard drive ports. You will however have to pop off the front of the case to screw it in. There's just some push pins that hold it on, you can pop it right back on after you're done.
2) 120 mm fan slot on the side of the case
3) 80 mm fan slot on the side of the case
4) Slot on the rear of the case provides holes for either 80 mm or 92 mm fans.

The case ships with a 92 mm fan in the rear slot. Manufactured by Globe Fan (serial number: s07138812l). It's ok in my opinion, not great but not bad.

There is also room behind the motherboard tray for routing power cables.
