4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: -HDD cages are removable - plenty of room for a nice graphics card
Plenty of space in general
-The pre-installed fans are very quiet
-LED is pretty, side window
-Easy to remove/put back all the panels

Cons: -Cable management is pretty bad. I can only fit ONE psu cord running behind the back panel; any more and the case won't close.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case, took some serious modification to install water cooled radiator

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: This case has very good airflow with the 5 included fans and is capable to add more fans if needed.

Cons: Took some serious modification to case to install a Corsair H100i water CPU cooler. Radiator with fans attached got in the way of my CPU power plug and hit the heatsink on my ASUS Maximus Hero VII mobo. Had to install radiator outside of case and fans on the inside. Had to cut the top of the case to get the pump inside and had to cut top cover to fit around radiator. Not the most elegant looking, but didn't want to purchase another case just for a radiator.

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't be happier.

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: For having 5 case fans plus the two on my Cooler Master EVO 212 and two more on the Sapphire R9 270X GPU this case is crazy quiet. I initially thought the idea of lighted case fans was really tacky but after seeing it lit up tonight it's actually pretty cool. I'm very happy with the build quality and especially love all the USB ports. Everything has fit inside without having to modify a thing. The need for no tools other than a Phillips screwdriver for the mobo screws is welcome too.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I'm as far from a computer geek as you can get but I build my own computers about every 5-6 years and have done so since the AMD 386-40 first came out. When I do a new build EVERYTHING seems to have changed and updated so it's a completely new experience every time. Cases always seem to be the lacking in something for me and the worst part of a new build. Not this time thankfully. I'm loving this case.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Beautiful case.
Looks wonderful.
Tons of fans.
USB 3.0 :D
Many others

Cons: Top 5.25 CD Drive is a pain in the rear to install. The default slot open is the top one, where people typically place their CD/DVD drives. The cases USB 3 header cables hang about an inch down, which blocks the drive. You have to BEND them almost painfully to get the drive to fit, and it's extremely tight.
HDD cages are really flimsy, but not a big deal.

3 out of 5 eggsWhat you get

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Cheap cost, plenty of space, easy to use, plenty of fans, not to loud.

Cons: Difficult to manage, awkward placement of cords, difficult to close.

Other Thoughts: The BlackHawk seemed like the case for me when I first got it, and though currently I have no buyers remorse on this, I would like to warn others before jumping into using it.

To start off you will notice an extreme lack of organization and thought out placement for the usb wires and other parts for the case. depending on your MB, you may end up having wires strechted across the entire system going in all directions, like I do currently, which I ma not happy about, its taken me hours to get them even semi organized and honestly the only reason it's an issue is because of placement of slots, and locations of power plugs for fans, and the usb cords.

The other issue is that the harddrive slots are placed so closely to door that its almost impossible to close the door without it pushing against your hard drive cord, Currently I fixed that issue by simply replacing a smaller SSD as the primary HD leaving it tons of room, though of course with there not being a slot for it, it is hanging loosely in the case.

On a plus note though the case has tons of space, so even with all the outstretched wires, it is pretty easy to get in and out of it without much hassle, it has pretty obvious placements for all of the slots and easy to follow order for everything, and despite it being crowded with cords, they are pretty long so you can move them about easily to get to where you need to.

if your on a lower budget, and you just need a case that works, like I did, then this one is perfect for you, it does the job, and even with its small issues, I have had no major problems with it for over a year and plan to keep it for at least another year.

5 out of 5 eggsNot a bad buy at all.

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Lovely case. cable management was easy. removable HD trays are amazing for anyone seeking to use a bigger sized graphics card. The lights on fans are nice, and ventilation is not a problem.

Cons: Even with the top HD tray you have to place the Graphics card in the 3rd slot from the top. Not a big problem at all, ventilation is still good.
I installed a Hyper 212 EVO and had to take off the fan on the panel with the glass, again not a big problem, I ended up moving the fan to the top and used it as an intake that blows directly behind the CPU/RAM.

2 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Big, Lots of Fans, helps keep computer cool

Cons: Stopped turning on, Front I&O panel was VERY sloppy, Top harddrive cover was laid in crooked, Power button loose and crooked

Other Thoughts: After about a month, the computer stopped turning on. I tested my PSU, and my Motherboard, both of which worked fine. Transplanted them into a temporary case and it all worked fine. After contacting Rosewill with their warranty and the steps that I took to deduce that the front I&O panel was defective in some way, they told me to unplug it and plug it back in.-.- After a couple rounds with them, they decided that it would be best to try to get a new front I&O panel from the warehouse. After 3 weeks of radio silence, I contacted them again, and they still hadn't received the part from the warehouse. Finally we got to the grounds of doing an RMA, which is the only thing that is preventing me from putting this at a 1/5. Hopefully the new one will actually work.

5 out of 5 eggsowner of 2

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: this case is a paradise for the ocd wire management guy like myself. I bought it on sale or $60 labor day 2013 and last August picked another up for a new build also at $60. this Case is solid, fairly light compared to other cases and looks sharp.

Cons: the only thing that puts a blemish for it being perfect is the 3.5" drive trays are flimsy and might come warped but I found that switching the hard drive between the trays can straighten them out. would love to see a little more support for them or all metal, I'd pay full price plus $10 if they did.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: I really like this case. It has everything you would want and expect to come with it, it's made of a solid metal to help protect its delicate innards and keep it cool, and comes with plenty of fans.

Cons: The only thing that annoys me about it is the power button location, because I occasionally push it on accident and ruin whatever I'm doing. That isn't 100% the case's fault though ;)
