5 out of 5 eggsVM Server Case

Pros: This is my second 4U Rosewill case, my other has 12 x hot swap bays. These really clean up a network rack. I consolidated 3 physical servers into a virtual server and used this case for better airflow.

Cons: Heavy, but not really a con. It's a solid case.

Other Thoughts: Two SSD drives for VM operating systems and two spinning disks for storage. Case fits a 92 mm Zalman cooler with about an inch to spare. Everything seems to stay pretty cool.

3 out of 5 eggshoghauler

Pros: Good price, strong case, plenty of room for all your hardware.

Cons: Specs say it will mount a standard ATX mobo but there are no holes to line up with a 12" X 9.6" front 3 holes. Removed the standoffs and used nuts to mount to the mobo to keep it level.

5 out of 5 eggsHolds your junk well

Pros: Cheap, sturdy, and doesn't look like rubbish. Good airflow, and it wasn't a pain to put stuff in for the most part (see cons). Lockable front panel seems sturdy, and the power/reset/USB panel is wonderful. The built-in fans aren't too loud (especially for a server box) and it has not erupted in fire yet.

Cons: The engineer who designed the HDD trays needs to be pulled out onto the street and shot. Additionally, the screws holding the side/top panel on are non-standard and tiny.

Neither of these issues are too much of a hassle, though.

Other Thoughts: I had bought a Rosewill desktop case and it was horrid, so I was a bit leery of this product. However, it has restored my confidence that someone, somewhere deep in the Rosewill HQ, went to school once. Got this case during a sale, but I'll probably pick it up full price for my next server box.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: good price, well built, loads of interiour space, manuel came with and plenty of spare screws. Very good for modifying the case, just unscrew the screws to remove handles and brackets.

Cons: No 3.5" slots, heavy and large.

Other Thoughts: Strong center support, fits any mobo and room for after market HSK&F. They installed the right size brackets and handles for mounting to the rack.

2 out of 5 eggsJust Strange

Pros: Low price

Cons: Large size case - make sure you check the dimensions before you buy this one! 25 inches deep. Not the normal 17.7 (450 mm) that will fit into most 19" racks that have a back. Weird fan connectors using Molex cables from the 1900s. No fan speed controllers or connectors for motherboard controls.

Other Thoughts: Nothing is hot swap-able - everything requires you to open the case which is from the top with small screws.

4 out of 5 eggsOne of the better Rack mount cases

Pros: Plenty of room for everything including wire management. Runs very cool and quiet.

Cons: The Drive trays don't really fit hard drives that well and cause the rubber mounted pins to fly out as you push the drives in.

Other Thoughts: Worth the Money, but could use just a little refinement

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Cheap and easy to work with. Everything fit as it should and assembled easily. Had enough room to fit my mobo with a zalman cnps9500 cooler.

Cons: The removable plastic hard drive trays are the only thing I didn't like about this case. They are perfectly functional once you force your hard drives into them though. I just worry a hard drive will slide out if I set the case on its back due to the tiny plastic tab that keeps them in their cage.

Other Thoughts: This is a great deal for the price I got it for (65 shipped on sale). The top cover screws are plenty strong to hold the cover even if they are quite small as others have pointed out. I chuckled a little when I saw the warning buzzer, it just plugs into your mobo with about an inch of wire and floats in the air. I highly recommend this case and will likely buy more.
