4 out of 5 eggsbeautiful and with a few quirks

Pros: clean minimalist design
excellent cable management possibilities
quiet stock fans
good quality of construction and materials

Cons: nonstandard fan mountings make some upgrades difficult
slightly confused airflow

Other Thoughts: I'm very picky about computer cases. Most of the cases which are raved about I find very poorly designed, and grossly overdesigned. Less is more.

The mx2-s isn't overdesigned. Viewed from the front, not a single seam, notch, fastener, logo, or other junk is visible. Just nicely finished aluminum. The side panels are equally unadorned and pop on and off very easily.

I built mine with a seasonic modular ps, asus rampage iv gene, 3930k, PCI-e ssd, 32gb ram, gtx 770, and a pair of 3tb 7200 rpm drives. Assembly was extremely easy and the machine powered up perfectly on the first try. A few spots are a little tight, particularly the power cables coming out of the PS and the video card.

temps were not great in stock form - all the intake air flows over and past the GPU, so if you are taxing both GPU and CPU the CPU is getting fed hot air to cool it down. I added a pair of 80mm intake fans to the back, put a corsair h90 140mm AIO liquid cooler on with the radiator at the top and the top fan switched to intake, and switched the bottom fans to exhaust. the biggest challenge is that the top and bottom fans screw in in from the inside, so you can't easily install thicker fans or fans with radiators. This can be solved with the right screws, but they have to be exactly the right length and pitch.

Overall, very happy with the case... But don't buy it planning to stuff it to the gills with cooling hardware and fans,

3 out of 5 eggsGreat looking case NOT FOR GAMERS

Pros: It looks amazing, i got this case solely on looks and returned two other cases for it. Quality of the Aluminum is awesome, and the 2 dust filters on bottom are much needed and was good they added them. I love the simplicity look with the case and to me it reminded of the way the Macs look and I am a mac fan just not for gaming. Its great for FAN COOLING and any body at an office or just a regular desktop computer for simple thing will love this.

Cons: Alright this case has some issues if you are gamer..
1. The power supply cage is small, DOES NOT SUPPORT Long PSU's or support full modular PSU's unless the one you have is small in length (most aren't). The modular cables are to long and will hit the HD cage and you wont be able to plug them in.

2. The HD cage can NOT be taken out unless you know how to drill rivets.

3. Does not support any watercooling at all. Which is sad because if they would thought it through when making the case it could have easily supported any 240mm on the bottom and a 140mm on top.. But as it stock it will not support watercooling unless you fabricate the case.

4. Doesn't support regular drive.. For some unknown reason they want you to use a Slim Slot (laptop) drive.. Makes no sense, they could have easily moved up the slot they cut in the case for the drive 1/2 and make it where any burner would fit..
*this is the drive i went with - UJ265 UJ-265 6X Blu-ray Burner Drive SATA Interface For Laptop 12.7mm

5. Because it uses a Slim Slot ODD you have to buy an adapter to power it because NO PSU's come with a slim sata power cord on them.
*this is what you need - Silverstone Tek Sleeved Slim-SATA to SATA Adapter Cable

Other Thoughts: If you have any questions or ideas for this case (ROSEWILL) please contact me at and I'll gladly help.

My build in this case (after fabrication)
CPU - AMD FX-9370
CPU Cooler - H90 (fabricated the case to make it work)
Memory - AMD Radeon Gamer Series 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Video Card - AMD Radeon R9 270x Series
PSU - XFX Xtr Series 550W (fabricated the HD cage to make it fit)
SSD - Kingston 256gb
ODD - UJ265 UJ-265 6X Blu-ray Burner Drive SATA Interface For Laptop 12.7mm
**ALSO to power the ODD - Silverstone Tek Sleeved Slim-SATA to SATA Adapter Cable
