Logisys Optimus II is streamline design styled with some gaming elements such as LED litup fan, trendy mesh face plates and geometric streamlines on the front panel. The chassis was engineered for maximum cooling performance with top, side, front and bottom ventilation. There are two 12/14CM fan mounting spaces on top, two 12/14CM on the side, one 12CM in the bottom, one 12/9/8CM in the rear and one 12/14CM in the front. To achieve the most quiet and effective cooling performance, 14CM fans could be heavily used with pre-drilled mounting spaces on the top, on the side and in the front. The Optimus II case is very spacy with a lot of rooms to work with. It can support the longest ATi 5970 graphic card. Two USB 2.0 and audio I/O can be easily accessed from the top of the case in the front side. This is the perfect pick for SOHO users, system integrators and some gamers.

  • newegg Superior Expandability with 10 Drive Bays Featuring four tool-less 5.25" external drive bays, and six 3.5” drive bays (one external and five internal, three tool-less lockers included), the Optimus II case provides superior expandability and easy installation.
  • newegg Efficient Ventilation The Optimus II case includes two 120mm fans (one rear fan, one front fan) and extra fan mounts for effective system cooling. Bottom power supply installation design offers better ventilation.
  • newegg Convenient Top I/O Panel High speed IO ports are situated on top for easy access.
  • newegg Spacy Interior The Optimus II case is very spacy with a lot of rooms to work with, and supports the latest 330 mm VGA card (ATI 5970).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: I wanted a case with good air flow, and this case does not disappoint. It comes with front and rear fans, and you can add one on the bottom and although the top seems to have room for 2, after you mount your cooler, there will only be room for one. I put one on the bottom and one on top and it really improved my temps. There are holes to mount 2 fans on the side, but I didn't have room after I installed my cooler.

The case itself is very easy to work with. It came with the standoffs already installed, although I had to re-position a couple of them. There isn't much room behind the motherboard for cable management.

The case also has a sideways drive cage and toolless drive connectors.

If you want a nice looking case with good air flow, I would highly recommend this one.

Cons: The USB ports are 2.0. Wish they would have been 3.0. The side panels aren't always easy to get back on. Not a lot of room for cable management.

Other Thoughts: When all put together, this case is sturdy, and for a free after rebate case, it's great. Even to pay for it, I think the case is worth it.

Great customer service. When I got my case, the mesh drive covers were loose in the box. When I tried to install them in the case, they would not stay on. I even taped them, but if you'd accidentally bump against the case, they would become loose. So I contacted Logisys and they sent me replacement mesh covers, and these locked in and they're staying on.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but...

Pros: Good price
Looks nice

Cons: Case came bent up and somewhat out of shape and the power button didn't work. There is a reset button, so I just moved the reset to the power headers. Newegg was nice enough to give me a gift card to save us both the trouble.

The pic looks like you couldn't mount two fans on the top of the case, but beware! You probably can't! There just isn't room after mounting the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I had room for the following fans:
1x 120mm (front)
1x 120mm (back)
2x 140mm (side panel)

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate on one titles "ehh"

Pros: i was wrong it is a good case, but it was annyoing because the harddrive in the case was making the panels not stay in place, but i was able to fix it.. it is a good case and it fits my radeon 7850 graphics card nicely

Cons: still a cheap case lol will upgrade soon

2 out of 5 eggsEhh

Pros: Has 2 120mm fans.. able to give it more fans.. possibly water cooling if possible.. it works

Cons: Uh for starters.. the side panels never stay on, after the slightest touch they just fall out which is extremely frustrating. and it gives barely any room for SATA cables to plug into the hard drives.

Other Thoughts: It's a cheap case.. not much to expect

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Functional. Meets my 8" width constraint. Tool-less design drive holders worked well

Cons: minimal instructions. Parts bag open with parts loose in case.
Missing one MB mounting screw; One of the two external USB ports physically damaged -- bent back into shape so it will take a USB connector, but not easily. Would be nice if three were more tool-less connectors (one for each drive bay?)

Other Thoughts: No real strong complaints -- except for the damaged USB port, I would put my cons in the you-get-what-you-pay-for category.. Would have returned under warranty, but don't want to be without a case for the turnaround time, so I'll just live with this.

5 out of 5 eggsgood case

Pros: Mine is pretty sturdy and made pretty well. Had no problems with it so far accept for one of the clips was made wrong so part of the case is not secured all the way but u cant even notice it. Nothing to complain about. Got this for like 40 bucks and came with a cheap psu wich everyone put horrible reviews about but so far its super quiet and works well.

Cons: none at all

Other Thoughts: just works great.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case for the price

Pros: This is a screwless drive mount case. Both the sides come off easily. It has an open access panel under the motherboard for easy access to mount new fans on the CPU. The power supply mount is on the bottom (it only took case manufacturers 20 years to figure out how much better that would be). There's venting and fan mount locations everywhere - 2 on the top, one on the bottom, one on the front, one on the back and 2 on the side. The case comes with the front and back fan but the fans have 2pin molex connectors and you probably want to replace them with a 3 pin mobo connector when you can. The fans are extremely quiet so its not that big a priority. It's a bit flimsy when working with it but sturdy after everything is mounted and the sides are secured in place. There's plenty of space under the mobo to run your cables which makes cable management a breeze. I couldn't find a single downside to this case so far.

Cons: The back of the screwholes on the case are extremely sharp and will cut you easily.

5 out of 5 eggsOkay, For the Price

Pros: Very nice, sturdy feel
sleek case

Cons: side panels did not fit 100% correctly

front mesh panels fall out if you touch them, had to glue them in, hoping I won't have to add any more drives up front.

Other Thoughts: if you need a nice case, but plan on installing all dvd/cd drives immediately, and don't plan on adding any, this is a great case.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case.

Pros: It looks nice, glossy finish (I like). It's picture doesn't do it justice. Some cable management. 3.5" drive bays face sideways for easy access.

Cons: not the best cable management, not the highest quality (not saying it's bad quality, it's just nothing like a sturdy antec case)

Other Thoughts: I got this case to build a computer for my dad, and it's a very nice looking case for a home computer. There is some cable management in this case, but it's not the best (but it's better than almost any other case at this price range). Also, it has sideways facing drive bays, just makes it a bit easier to add/remove drives. I like it anyways.

2 out of 5 eggsWanted to Like it

Pros: Looked Nice. Nice vents for fans.

Cons: Standoff screws got stuck to motherboard screws, after getting them ut they wouldn't re-anchor securley to case. Cable management was virtually nil due to size of cords from psu.
