4 out of 5 eggsPerfection

Pros: This case is very sturdy, and the foam over the front handles add a nice touch. I bought the case to build a rack computer for my mobile studio and it's been perfect. The package came a day early, and in perfect condition as well. Included all the keys/hardware inside.

Cons: I wish the cable management crossbar was further back making my cpu cooler easier to install, but other than that, it has been flawless so far.

4 out of 5 eggsNot for liquid cooling.

Pros: You will open the case and say "WOW That's a lot of real estate". Then you will actually build your system, and quickly run out of real estate. It is a large case, and it is a great value. I have purchased 4 of these, and 4 identical motherboards, changing out only the cpu, RAM and OS between builds. I like the case. It really saves space. I like the metal work though others don't.

Cons: My Gigabyte motherboard barely fit into it. Cabling everything together was a royal PITA. The 6 hard drive cage only has 4 available slots though 6 are listed. The other 2 are unusable for the location. If you use a full size, double-slot video card, it will use up 2 slots of the hard drive cage.

This case is really only for a server build and not a gaming setup. If you have a lot of drives, you will have to obtain an external enclosure.

I have 1 SSD for boot/root, 2 HDD (mirrored) for data, 6 TB disk for backup, and 2 DVDs in it. There is no room for anything else. The clearance between the power connector on my motherboard and the bottom of the drive cage is barely enough for the power cable to be routed. I had to purchase an adapter to mount my 2.5 inch SSD in the 3.5 inch slot.

There is no room for a liquid cooler. No available liquid cooling system has hoses long enough to reach from the CPU to the front cooling fan. If you were to find a system with long enough hoses, you will have to reverse the airflow, in from the back and out through the front. If you are making a minimalist build, it should work. But you will have to discard the card cage if so.

The case is not tall enough to use an air-cooling system with a 90mm (or larger) fan.

Other Thoughts: I don't want to discourage anyone from purchasing this case. But it IS for servers only, and only for pro or semi-pro installations. It is not for a first-time builder unless you have LOTS of money, plenty of spare time and tolerance for a lot of frustration.

DON"T expect to liquid-cool.

2 out of 5 eggsNice case, Horrible QC

Pros: Well build, good chassis for the $$

Cons: The first one I ordered was missing the backplane the motherboard mounts to, I requested a return and ordered a replacement. When the second one came in it was missing the hardware bag with the screws, standoffs, CD rails, CHASSIS KEYS, etc...

Other Thoughts: I was able to make one whole chassis by purchasing two...but come on, Logisys - YOU NEED TO STEP UP YOUR QC!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsPleasantly surprised

Pros: It's surprisingly solid. It has sufficient room for most build too. If you're running it headless (no video card) you shouldn't have any problem fitting everything inside. Buttons and USB are of good quality, too.

Cons: The metal on some interior parts is quite soft; I actually stripped 2 sets of threads out (a record for me) from pieces holding the drive bays in place. Be very careful with that screwdriver!

You may also have to be mindful of the order in which you install parts. I got lucky and managed to tilt the motherboard (standard ATX) so it fit under the hard drives before fitting against the IO shield but if you are using a larger board you should porobably install the motherboard before putting the drive days back in.

Other Thoughts: I will be buying more of these in the future. I don't think there could possibly be a better server chassis at this price.

5 out of 5 eggsvery tough

Pros: Very impressed with how solid this thing feels. I'm gonna be using this as a part of a portable recording studio of sorts, so integrity is very important to me.

Cons: It's heavy af.

5 out of 5 eggsgood but needs to be longer

Pros: solid case over all. Real nice way they suspended the drives. hardware does not seem top notch. screws would not start or strip easy.

Cons: case needs to be 3 inches longer. the drives either hit the motherboard or the front fan. I use 2 drive raid, 1 c drive, mix drive, and a instrument drive for a total of 5 drives. it was hard to get them all mounted had to put one above the DVD player.

I use a asus motherboard P5N-T deluxe. the drives hit main power connector or rested on the SATA connectors.

Other Thoughts: with a little redesign this would be a great case. case needs to be 3" longer. fan vents for the power supply on the side of the case. better screws and hardware. for the price it would be great for smaller motherboards. the key is the motherboard you use.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case, Excellent Customer Support

Pros: Just an incredibly solid case. I've used other rackmount cases, and even by those standards this feels heavy and solid - I never felt the case bend while lifting it. It's also spacious without being tight, and was perfect for putting in multiple drives as well as a massive graphics card. I'm also just a fan of its design, which looks great and has three fans for very efficient cooling.

Cons: While the exterior of the case is great, the internal design seemed fairly rickety. The drive bays are mounted on springs, which seemed fairly clever until one popped off and wouldn't go back on. The case still worked great without it though, so i's no big deal.

Other Thoughts: The case shipped without the motherboard mounting plate, making it impossible to assemble. Still, as soon as I contacted customer service they sent the required part, which arrived by the end of the week. I've had other issues with cases before, but never have I seen such a speedy, professional response.
