Pros: Great design, with cable management and air flow in mind when created. Includes extra cover for MB area that further adds cable management and air flow, to allow for concentrated air over the proc and RAM. Also, this conveniently separates the PCI slots from adding to the CPU heat, but still allows air flow for PCI as well.

Cons: Only comes with 4 shielded SATA cables, but they are cut to length for each length of drive bay. Strange they only include 4 considering there are 10 total bays for 3.5in HDDs.

Pros: This is VERY nicely designed but I've pretty much switched to SuperMicro for my servers. So, my Supermicro server boards fit beautifully. This is a machine with 12 bays, 10 are hot-swap and the OS drives that I mirror are slick. There's a squeeze clip at the end that allows you to push the tray out the front. You just insert the drives, screw-em in and you are done. It came with a slim CDROM too.

Cons: There's an issue with the distance to the backplane connectors from the board. One of them is 18". Problem when they only include 5 various size SATA/SAS cables. Where's the other 5? I'm happy I have an assortment of cables in-house and this didn't cause me problems.

Other Thoughts: This thing is a bargain at the price. I used the SuperMicro AMD dual proc C32 board with the integrated LSI SAS connector. Very, very, nice.

Pros: I have always liked the way these cases were designed with the Had slots. I have always used the super micro boards in the cases as well. The cooling fans pretty much out perform anything else I have used and you can swap them out while the system is running. Out of 5 systems I have only had one power supply go out on me. We had a backup so we got to swap that out while it was running.

Cons: While super micro stuff seems design pretty well. They are really a pain to deal with. I had 5 motherboards lost the network interface all at once. It wasn't even worth dealing with them or the down time, I had to order network cards to get the systems up and working. Otherwise with them it can take up to 1 month to get things replaced.

Other Thoughts: The people are smart and I have had great phone support. To replace the hardware or any type of replacement they will ask for a credit card to cover the full cost then refund it back to you. I really don't like this.

Pros: Plenty of room
Good cooling
Redundant power supplies
Seems pretty high quality and is relatively inexpensive for what it is.
This case is great for what I needed. I would definitely recommend this case!

Cons: It's pretty loud. It does a good job cooling everything and I can't hear it with the IT room door closed so it's not that big of a deal.

Pros: Nicely engineered, Redundant 80plus PSU , Great airflow, Plenty of Drive mounts

Cons: Price (in fairness, a redundant PSU is expensive)

Pros: Well-built case. Plenty of room for drives in a tiny 2U size. Easy removal of fans, drives, etc.

Cons: Got 2 cases and returned them both. The PSU would not work with an Asus Z8PE-D12 board. Used a generic competitor case with a similar power supply and it worked fine. Apparently SuperMicro wants you to use their own boards. When I've used a SuperMicro board with the case, it works fine.

Other Thoughts: Support wanted me to send the ENTIRE thing to them so they could test it (meaning the board, case, drives, CPUs, RAM, etc). Fat chance. Not buying another SuperMicro case again, and I build about 50-100 of these things a month. Bummer.

Pros: 8 3.5" hot swappable HDD bays & 2 3.5" fixed/internal HDD bays + slim SATA DVD drive. My SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SBE mainboard fit this case just fine. Redundant PSUs. My build was fairly painless and quick. Chassis seems very sturdy. The 3 large fans between the BP and the mobo are pretty strong and I can't imagine anything overheating in this box.

Cons: Fans are loud but that is to be expected with a chassis of this type (large rackmount server). The manual seemed a bit lacking to me. This was my first from scratch server build that included a backplane and there seemed to be little info on the BP or the info was somewhat confusing. I still don't know where some of the cables should terminate but things are up and running.

Other Thoughts: I would have liked to have seen some more in depth info on the different ways to hook up the backplane. I also would have preferred to pay a little extra and have Supermicro include a few cable extensions for things like SPGIO, I2C, etc.

Pros: Hot swap fans (3 of them), Dual hot-swap power supplies (with fans), Large power supply rating, Plenty of room for expansion cards, and large motherboards, hot-swap SATA/SAS backplane, additional LEDs on front if your MB will connect (warning, tempurature, dual NICs). Solid construction, standard motherboard backplate support. High-quality parts and quality build.

Cons: Price. Noise. (server chassis)

Pros: Sturdy Construction, Rails. Cooling/airflow is suprisingly good. I'd say its about 20-30% quieter than comparable 2U HP servers. All cables and connectors plugged right into the SUPERMICRO MBD-X8DAH+-F-O motherboard and everything worked the first time the power was pressed. This model also includes a SAS/SATA Backplane that supports SGPIO or IC^2.

Cons: Power Cables!! The power distribution unit comes with cables that are approximately .5m login, but on Supermicro motherboards the power connector is right smack next to where the cables come out. I had a horrible time trying to route the cables and ended up having to remove a break out section of the air shroud to get it on. This is after bundling them all as tight as I could with zip-ties.

Other Thoughts: Great case still. They should have made the cables short so they fit cleanly with a SuperMicro Motherboard and then provided extensions.

I would've gave it a 4.5 egg if I could have.

Pros: One of the reviews states that it only has 1 8 pin power connector. All 4 of my cases came with 1 short 8 pin (with an extension included) 1 long 8 pin and 1 long 4 pin power plug so I am not sure if this is a new revision or not but I have all the PSU connections needed. So if you are buying now, I would imagine it will come like mine did.
