The TU150 from Apex is a solid case that is designed for easy setup so you can get up and running quickly. The four external 5.25” drive bays boast a tool-less locking system that makes installation a snap. The two external and one of the internal 3.5” drive bays are on a quick release rack. Motherboard installation is just as easy since there is plenty of room and unobstructed access for your ATX or microATX board.

The back panel has a 90mm fan for increased airflow inside the case. If you are running lots of expansion cards and are in need of extra airflow, simply install two 80mm fans in the front of the case to send air across the cards and keep them cool.

1 out of 5 eggsapex tu150 case /w 400w power

Pros: Size ok for most ATX Motherboards. Metal case is of reasonable strength, but plastic front panel is lacking.

Cons: Power Supply does NOT provide -5vdc, which older motherboards may use, but newer boards may or may not use. Check your motherboard manual before ordering.

Other Thoughts: The front door can be removed, if you find it to be a bother. The plastic mounting pegs on the front panel are easily broken off, when removing the front panel. One can use a couple of screws & some glue to reattach the pegs.

4 out of 5 eggsCase review

Pros: Roomy, decent design.

Cons: Door fell off hinges after awhile.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case back in 2004 for a P4 build that I did. I was surprised to see they're still selling this case. I am now finally replacing it (and the P4 PC), and would like to say that this was a solid case. Sure the front door fell off, but I rarely used it anyways. I also replaced the power supply soon after I got this case since it was too weak for what I wanted to add to the case (multiple drives, high end video card, etc.). But for most simple configurations, the power supply should be fine.

2 out of 5 eggsNot that great

Pros: I like the side vent for the cpu fan. Came with screws that I needed. The ease of putting in the cd and dvd-rom drive was nice.

Cons: The legs that hold the front of the case together are very weak. My previous case opened the same way this one does, but on the first time opening the front of this case two of the pegs broke off. The other issue I had was with the default faceplate for the ports on the back, it didn't fit right, luckily I was able to take the one out of my old case. The other thing that sucks, is the door to the USB ports on the front not wanting to close all the time. Also the case isn't has sturdy as I hoped it would be. Its supposed to be a steel case, but is still rather flimsy when handling it.

Other Thoughts: I wish Newegg would ship through Fed-Ex or someone besides UPS. I had originally ordered this case back in December, as I was hoping to get my computer fixed up for my parents, but UPS broke the case, the front of it came off during transfer (though it wasn't packaged very well). I then had to ship my old one back and wait for everything to get processed and then finally yesterday I got this one. However UPS has broken other items I've received through them as well.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, solid, inexpensive

Pros: Not heavy, 400W is sufficient for a low-range non-gaming computer system. ATX and mATX compatible, easy to assemble. Front of the system is lockable.

Cons: Paint attracts fingerprints. Back of the system is not lockable. Front lock is not too sturdy

Other Thoughts: For a cheap system looks very good. If you want to secure your hardware from anyone but the most inept, expect spending much more.

5 out of 5 eggsBuilt to Last

Pros: Bought this case in 2004. Money well spent. I've had no problems and I'm now passing this case down to my children. Make sure you buy 2 80mm fans for the bottom front panel and mount your hard drives in front of the fans.

Cons: Heavy if you count that..

Other Thoughts: Would like the USB ports at the top, but thats me...
I just now posting this review because I am lazy, but I hope it helps you out. If you are building a newer AMD system, upgrade the power supply! Otherwise.. this is a great product.

4 out of 5 eggsSatisfactory

Pros: Price, 400W power supply included, small footprint, plain and simple look and design.

Cons: Thinner than usual metal, one small dent probably from fabrication and not shipping. Chinese made... can we avoid buying things from these guys? I don't think so.

Other Thoughts: I bought two PC cases and one of them arrived moderately damaged with the shipping box OPEN caused by bad packaging from the manufacturer not newegg but newegg should have make sure the packaging was right... they didn't

No problem, I called newegg and a replacement is on its way.

I'm satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going Strong since 1/21/2003

Pros: **PSU still working this whole time**

-Solid Construction.
-Lots of space.
-Good Air Flow: mounts for two 80mm intake fans and a Side and Rear exhausts.
-Intake fans can cool drives in the lower tray.
-Quick release 5.25" Drive Bays
-Quick release 3.5" HD enclosure
-Front locking cover

Cons: -As previously stated by "sys-integrator" the HD enclosure does not provide room for proper ventilation,
-Depth of the case: the dimensions are almost 2U rack server size so it's pretty beastly.
-Front cover is somewhat flimsy

Other Thoughts: This was my old gaming rig from 2003 to 2006 with an ASUS A7N8X with a GeForce TI4200. Used at LAN parties, but now it's being retired to a Linux box as a Router/Firewall and File Server.

5 out of 5 eggsWel done

Pros: Used to build a system for a friend to play WoW. Power supply did it's job, case is easy on the eyes.

Cons: Door is a little silly in my opinion, but doesn't cause any problems.

Other Thoughts: Including the power supply which is working perfectly for the job at hand (playing WoW), the price seemed really good.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: This is a good, solid case with no frills. Metal work is good with no jaggies.

Cons: Power Supply only has one SATA style connector. These days, most drives only have this style. Make sure you order an adapter else you will be scrambling with the DVD drive.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad case for the money. Don't expect too much.

5 out of 5 eggsStunning case, great value

Pros: Striking though simple in design, good quality for the price, a heck of a value! Everything is standard on the inside, and the fit and finish is much better than other cases I have seen in this class. Panel gaps are small and lines are straight, at least on the unit I received. Well thought-out!

Cons: Front hinges seem a little flimsy when in use, and the PSU is only 400watts, but other than that this is a great case!

Other Thoughts: I am so sick of most of the gimmicky designs current cases have - how can people be proud to show off these gaudy piles of junk? The clean, industrial-yet-artsy look of this case sets it far above any others in its price range and will give your PC an air of dignity. This is an extremely well-designed case; from afar it can pass as a much more expensive workstation and the price makes it all the better!
