Apex’s MI-110 case is a great choice for instances where you don’t have a lot of space for a system. It would work well in kiosks or as a video wall controller. You could also use it to control information signs in a hotel or airport. Its small size would also make it a good choice for a HTPC.

There are two external bays, one 5.25” and one 3.5”. There is also an internal 3.5” hard drive bay. The front panel also has two audio jacks and two USB ports. Once everything is installed put the lid back on and you’re good to go.

  • newegg Stands Horizontally or Vertically The APEX MI-110 can be laid horizontally on your desk or vertically on the floor to fit your working space.
  • newegg Mini-ITX System with 3 Drive Bays Featuring an external 5.25" drive bay and two 3.5" drive bays (one external and one internal), the APEX MI-110 provides sufficient expandability as a mini-ITX case.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The APEX MI-110 features a convenient front I/O panel for easy access to two USB 2.0 and two audio ports.
  • newegg Built-in 250W PSU The APEX MI-110 is equipped with a 250W power supply unit to handle typical power consumption for most Mini-ITX systems.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: It hits the minimum standards of a case with flying colors. If you're looking to keep your components contained and protected from the world at a minimum of expense, this is a great case for you.

The case is sturdy and rigid, and has that heavy feel that indicates that it will take a fair bit of abuse; everything lines up nicely, so there's no issues getting components mounted.

Cons: It's a cheap case, not a good case. There are no bells or whistles for your convenience. The case is very cramped (which sort of goes with the territory of a compact mini-ITX case), and combined with sharp edges in evidence on the inside, is in no way a pleasure to work in. The plastic front panel is flimsy; my power button tends to stick, which is an annoyance (though not a dealbreaker).

Other Thoughts: For the price, it's a great way to keep all your components next to all your other components and safe from errant kicks or falling objects. It's not a luxury case or a good platform for a tinkerer, but for the general case of putting a computer in it with a minimum of expense, I can heartily recommend it.

I built a nice little NAS box in mine, a purpose it serves admirably.

4 out of 5 eggsNice size case.

Pros: Not much to say, small mITX case.

Cons: PSU placement doesn't provide enough clearance/room for proper air flow with a stock cpu cooler. Causes high cpu tempts. See other thoughts.

egg off for that

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend this cooler if you are using an AMD stock cpu cooler: Akasa Low Profile AMD CPU Cooler - Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX (AK-CC1101EP02)

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Compact, sturdy.

Cons: The power supply has lots of molex/IDE power connectors, but only two SATA plugs. Forget running two HDDs and the optical, unless you have an adapter.

With my Mini-ITX motherboard, the RAM stuck upward just a hair too far to put in an optical drive in the 5.25" slot. If you're using anything in the 5.25" drive, check your mobo's layout and make sure your RAM doesn't intersect where the drive would hang over.

Stock cooler on the processor is too tall to get the included power supply in. Right now I have the PSU taped to the top of the box while I wait for my replacement case to arrive.

If you are using super-small everything and are confident about fitting it all in, give this case a shot. For me, it was disappointing.

3 out of 5 eggsCase is good Wires are short

Pros: nice case, slim line, simple and easy to use

Cons: I'll have to knock off an egg for the motherboard pin wiring it was way to short for an Intel dh77df motherboard, wouldn't reach the pins. Be careful which motherboard you order and check the pin placement for hdd light power reset switch etc. also had to remove the power supply to get the motherboard installed properly. a tad bit tight fit.

Other Thoughts: Over all not a bad case, if you plan on using an pci-e video card be careful as well, there is no clearance for a fan on the card. had to knock off an egg for that as well.

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT MINI ITX CASE!!!

Pros: Great little case! Such a space saver! I love it!!!Looks nice! Seems well built.

I have a full size gtx 560 in this case and two hard drives one regular sized one ssd. Had to improvise a bit to get all that to fit in there but I love a bit of a challenge! :P
I have a bluray burner and a front panel usb 3.0 and card reader in this case too. Everything packs in there rly tightly but its just perfect. I'm very happy with it and the super fast shipping newegg gave me for free!

Cons: Cheap/weak power supply.
The power supply looks like junk to me so I went with a 400W bronze rated one since all my components were top end and high quality. You can see the PSU I went with here:

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend this case to anyone doing a small space saving HTPC that fits in the entertainment center under tv. This is no mac mini but still I love it, and I'm quite sure my hardware is much more powerful and feature loaded than in a mac! I added a 80mm fan for better air flow.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall, Great Case

Pros: It is a really great case, I am able to fit everything in nicely.

Cons: The back is slightly bent so the I/O shield won't snap in. I am not sure if this is intentional or just an accident.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small compact design so it fits on your desktop without taking up a lot of room. Easy to mount under a desk to hide out of the way and off the floor.

Cons: Confine space in case. Hard for big hands to work inside installing everything. MB tray not removable for easy wiring.

4 out of 5 eggsFun little case

Pros: cute and tiny - wife loves it!

Cons: Screws stripped too easily
Not enough screws were supplied.
have some zip ties on hand

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my first mini-itx build. Yes, the power supply is barely touching the housing for the CPU fan, but all is okay that I can see. Also, do NOT get any ram with heat sinks. I had to buy another plain 8 gig and put the 8 gig that I got for this build into my rig, so a win/win. But the heat sinks just wont fit under the hard drive.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: Smallish.
Solid design.
Lots of room for cables.

Cons: Slightly tricky to put cover on and get things to align correctly.
Power supply over motherboard makes it hard to get to motherboard connectors after installation.
Does not come in pink.

Other Thoughts: Had to remove power supply to get motherboard in. Not much clearance between cpu heatsink and power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little case

Pros: Got this for a HTPC build and its great so far. pretty easy install of components.

Cons: Intel celeron heatsink touches power supply but was expecting a tight fit. air flow is at a minimun with no case fans, you could easily throw a 40mm or so fan or two for some cross air flow.
