5 out of 5 eggsGreat basic case with basic PSU

Pros: Really nice, for a cheap case. Not for gamers / overclockers. Just for a basic PC with integrated video.

Front USB ports give internal connectors for USB 3.0 or USB 2.0.

Cables all just the right length. No spaghetti to try and hide.

Attractive on the desk.

Power supply appears to be a standard size and can be replaced with something more powerful if you add a PCIE video card. This power supply, removed new, goes for about $25 on (edit: a popular online auction site that I can't name in a review, apparently.)

Can support a 120 mm fan mounted in the front to pull fresh air in. I installed one with some rubber pull-thru mounts. Works great. Allows for really good airflow and metal mesh front panel is effectively a dust filter when you do this, easy to wipe clean.

Cons: Removable side panels are very flimsy, thin metal. Be careful to install while lying flat on its side. Not ideal for a case that you’re opening up regularly.

Not a con for this build, but the power supply supports only what you would need in a very basic system. (1) 24-pin power, (1) 4-pin CPU power, (2) SATA, (2) Molex peripheral, (1) Molex FDD, No PCIE.

There is no 2.5” drive mount so an adapter would be needed for an SSD.

Other Thoughts: I used it to transplant the innards of an HP Pavilion 500 when my new CPU cooler (Cooler Master Hyper D92) was just ½” too tall to fit in HP’s narrow case. It’s a really nice fit. I’m much happier with this one than the original case. The HP case had poor airflow and was always hot.

This case is ideal for a micro-ATX build with integrated video, like an AMD A-series chip motherboard, one DVD and one HDD / SSD, though you could fit more drives.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid and Affordable

Pros: Affordable, USB 3.0 headers(i don't think anything else in this price range has front panel USB 3.0), power supply included, Everything went in fairly easily, adequate ventilation.

Cons: Wish it had a bigger PSU

Other Thoughts: Worked great for a budget upgrade build for an older PC. Power supply had enough sata to get 3 hard drives in there(the PC basically just provides network storage). Front Panel USB 3.0 is nice. It comes apart and goes back together easily. You have to screw your hard drives in the old fashioned way. It almost seemed easier than with the new fangled HD trays. I have an overclocked G3258 in here with a stock cooler and a b85 board(with little in the way of heatsinks). I added an old 120mm fan inside the front of the case(with a bit of creative screw placement. Plenty of ventilation to keep everything cool.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent budget case

Pros: Good looks, simple and effective!
Front USB 3.0
Included power supply
Easy to work with, good layout

Cons: Somewhat flimsy metal but everything holds firmly in place
The glossy finish on the front panel easily blemished

Other Thoughts: The cons I found are simple facts but they do not annoy me considering this ensemble costs $40. Well worth the cost for a budget build, power supply holding up though I am waiting for an replacement motherboad.

Pros: Convenient USB and front panel audio connectors.

Cons: Very hard to see front panel Power and HDD LEDs. Noisy power supply- has a high pitched whistle. Would not expect

3 out of 5 eggsThey made it mATX but forgot it was mATX

Pros: USB 3.0 w/ a power supply for under $50 that actually looks decent.

Cons: The motherboard mounting holes on the bottom edge are drilled incorrectly. Had two mAT boards, an ASUS and and ASRock, that one of the holes was way off. Upon further inspection the hole looks like it was drilled for a full size ATXs botttom edge.

Other Thoughts: If you're ok with the bottom edge that your USB and front panel connections are on only having one motherboard post supporting it then this case is a great choice.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding case!

Pros: - Great price
- Not one, but TWO USB 3.0 ports on the front panel
- Looks amazing
- Non-blinding LEDs for power and HDD
- Acceptable PSU

Cons: - One case came with the PSU warranty sticker broken
- While it's better than being too bright, the LEDs are very dim. You need to be directly in front of the case to see them.
- Included rear fan is quite loud

Other Thoughts: I've built five PCs with this case. It's excellent. It's easy to build in, reasonably sturdy, and has the looks to boot. The included fan can be loud, but builds that I've done in this case have either had a case fan voltage controller option on the motherboard or have run cool enough to negate any use for the fan. Pick up another 92mm fan if you're concerned. You can also put a 120mm in the front.
Unlike most cases, it has two USB 3.0 ports on the front (Why do so many cases have one 3.0 and one 2.0?). Apex also thought to include other niceties like a cable zip tie and buzzer with the case. While these are no big deal and can be had for quite cheaply, it's nice that they thought of the customer there.
The included PSU is nothing to write home about, but handles basic builds quite well. I have several Intel Pentium and AMD Athlon (the new one) builds with this case and not one PSU has failed. *Knocks on desk*

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than I thought

Pros: standard micro atx size that doesn't look like an alien designed pseudo gaming case
2x front usb 3
300w psu, TOP mounted
Surprisingly robust for such a thin case!
For the price I have paid I am pleased, it's better than I expected.

Cons: Lacks some cable management features.
metal is THIN. Once components are installed it feels sturdier.
It's not free.

Other Thoughts: Built a micro atx system with optical drive, 4 hdd, fanless vga (huge heatsink), pcie-wifi. And it works well! system is used as HTPC and office use and runs perfectly on stock PSU (for now). I don't mind a top PSU: serves as an exhaust for heat.

4 out of 5 eggspretty good case for price!

Pros: very inexpensive! USB 3 on front with a header, 300W PSU, corners arent too sharp, fairly easy to build in

Cons: the only minor gripe I would have for it are the PLED and HDDLED. After building the whole system, I thought I had them backwards as I couldnt see them. Come to find out, they were connected correctly, you just have to be right in front of the case to see them. Thus only 4 eggs instead of 5
