Complete your desktop's liquid-cooling system with the Koolance CHC-A05 Motherboard Northbridge Cooling Block. Adding a cooler for your Northbridge helps reduce overall temperatures inside your case while eliminating the need for additional fans to cool your motherboard. Simply mount this block on your Northbridge and connect one tube to run liquid over the block and a second tube to draw the liquid with the transferred heat away from the chipset. Hoses easily, but firmly slide onto the cooling block's connectors and then you use the included hose clamps to secure them in place.
The CHC-A05 has a maximum heat rating of 30 watts, well suited for Northbridge chipsets. The 1x1-inch (2.6x2.6-cm) cooler is made from solid copper and plated with 21-karat gold for the best heat conduction. The package includes the cooling block, thermal paste, hose clamps, mounting hardware and instruction manual. A bracket compatible with Intel Pentium 4 motherboards is bundled as well.

- Comments: Okay, this is a Not hlaf nad way to cool your N bridge or S Bridge on the mobo. But if your gonna spend the money, spend the extra $20 and buy this one (also on Newegg) Item # N82E16835127002. It says it's for GPU's but it IS also used for Mobo's. Not only is it rated for 180W but it also has 360 Swivel necks for reassurance on hose placement. This cooler works great, but if you have the DFI NF3 board like me, you want to cool that N Bridge down, especially if you OC like me.
Sweet little cooler....
- Pros: Tiny tiny tiny. Small enough to fit under the enormous 8800GTS on the southbridge of a Nvidia reference 680i board.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Worked perfect for me - if you need something small cooled, this is the deal for you.

Good Unit, Does whats needed.
- Pros: Does everything I need it to do. Allows me to run my FSB on my P5B deluxe motherboard well past 400Mhz (from 266/200Mhz). Many fitting options. Can get it exactly where you need it.
- Cons: None, as yet.
- Other Thoughts: If you’re running a bunch of little coolers for a bunch of different chips on you mother board, split them up into parallel cooling circuits to keep your overall flow rate up. These things can get resistive if you have too many in series.
It works!
- Pros: Inexpensive, compact - fits tight space, low profile - fits under my 8800GTX, effective for at least 30 watts (Southbridge)
- Cons: Doesn't have the quick install screw nozzels (each nozzel costs more than this waterblock, so its no wonder it comes with the "slip on" nozzels.
- Other Thoughts: What a great value!
Great product
- Pros: Replaced the original cooler + fan on the EVGA Mobo (removed the thick thermal paste they had and cleaned it well). Also installed one of Koolance CPU cooler blocks for my C2Duo and also one for the southbridge. They all connect in series. This is an awesome, silent setup that keeps my system at a fixed 27C whatever i do, with o/c.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Recommend for a hassle-free, relaible water cooling.
