The Smilodon case from Raidmax makes assembling a system easier than ever before. It has a modular, tool-less design that makes the initial build and future upgrades easy. Both side panels latch into place for easy access. For the ultimate in convenience the right side panel has the motherboard tray completed with backplate attached. This lets you install the mobo and all your cards, then lock it into the case as a single unit.
Drive installation couldn’t be easier. The external bays all use Clicklock technology, just slide the drive into the bay and lock it into place. The hard drive rack is removable for easy installations and upgrades. All of the necessary drive rails come in a slide out box so you don’t lose them.
Once you have everything assembled you need to make sure it stays cool. Raidmax has loaded the case with plenty of fans. A 120mm fan is mounted on the front of the case to draw cool air in and blow it across the hard drives. Side and rear mounted 80mm fans keep the air moving over all critical components. There is also an 80mm fan with blue LEDs that mounts to a support brace that holds your expansion cards steady and blows cool outside air over them.
Pros: The side doors are nice. The motherboard-side door has the mobo tray attached to it making motherboard installation very easy. The "accessory" tray is a nice touch and is handy for storing screws and what-not. The main hdd mounting section rotates out along a track making hdd installation easy. You can install a total of five fans without any modifications (four 80mm, one 120mm). Two front USB ports, front sound out and front mic. Good airflow. I have noticed that my video card temperature has dropped up to 5c at idle thanks to the "black bar". Front door hinges look cheep but have proven themselves (I'm a teenager) and the door is sturdy. Looks sexy. The black bar can be removed if it bothers you.
Cons: Black bar isn't adjustable. My video cards and PCI cards are lower than where it is pointed, it's blowing more on my CPU. The front 120mm fan is hard to get to. You have to take off the plastic front. If you have something plugged into the front USB the door cannot close. The black metal mesh is excellent for showing dust. Power button is boring. Reset button could be bigger but not small enough that you have to grab a pen. Magnets seem to have gotten a lot weaker over time. The screwless-drive system (the blue things inside) could have been done better. They won't hold things with only one set of screw holds (most fan controllers). Cramp. The case could be a few inches longer. I have two 7950GTs and when you have them hooked up there is very little space between the hard drives and the video cards, making future videocard and harddrive installations more difficult. The black bar is ugly, and hides a large portion of the viewable area.
Other Thoughts: I can't say how loud the fans are, as I immediately swapped them out for some much prettier blue ones. I haven't tested the front audio, since I didn't have room on my motherboard to install it. Since th black bar isn't adjustable, I didn't bother with the weird plastic add-on card holders. I guess they are there to stabilize your add-on cards, but the bar is too high for my motherboard. I also broke one of the little plastic tabs for it during installation somehow. I was hoping to be able to hide wires under the mobo tray, but the sides of the tray weren't open enough. This is a good case, and if you don't mind the crampedness or a few other small issues then I would recommend it.

Pros: Sturdy, well equipped, excellent tooless features, the cage for the hard drives swings out easily and removes completly so putting the drives in. With my full ATX K-9 Platnium there is plenty of room. Excellent ventillation and quiet after I installed a side vent fan or three hard drives and sata DVD RW. With two video cards and both PCI slots filled while full, the case is not cramped. Any problems with side clearance depends on being smart enough to buy the cable lengths you need to lay them down.
Sturdy - heavy - well built. It is not portable but that is what I wanted.
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I don't often write reviews, but this is the most impressive case for the money I have found to date.

Pros: Wonderful access doors, seems to run fairly cool and quiet, front fan mesh grill traps dust so it's easy to vacuum away before it gets inside. I wish they had made the side fan grills that way too. There is plenty of room inside case for all my components.
Cons: Beware that Raidmax does not fulfill it's rebates. I sent in my rebate over 4 months ago. My brother sent his in at the same time. Both our rebates were approved but we never received payment, even after we inquired and complained. Shame on you Raidmax, for not honoring your rebates. I will keep this in mind before I ever buy another product from you. This case is awfully heavy, but I don't move it very much. Expect to remove a few cables from motherboard, before you can fold the side door down flat.
Other Thoughts: The magnets on the front door are purposely made weak so that in case your burning program opens the CD/DVD drive, it will pop the door out of the way instead of jamming up the drive tray. Good thinking, Raidmax. Newegg is,, and always has been, THE BEST.

Pros: I am 100% pleased with this case. Sturdy steel build, plenty of fans to keep the insides cooler than most, and cool looking blue LEDs. Easy to setup with a few of those quick fittings for your SATA drives. Also has a unique side panel bar that helps to hold your graphics card firmly in place.
Cons: My only gripe is the fact that you can't have the front door panel closed when you have any audio or USB plugged into the front access point for either.
Other Thoughts: This things comes with 4 fans (two of which are 120mm). The 2 120mm fans might not move enough air for some folks, and it might be worth it to invest in some more powerful fans. Also, one spot for an 80mm fan (not included) on the back motherboard panel to help keep your harddrives cool. Another potentially beneficial investment.
