Raidmax created the Katana 729WB with an eye towards the power needed for high end gaming systems or servers. They started with a smoking nine external drive bays that can be used for both 5.25" and 3.5" drives. That should be enough room for just about any computer junky with room to spare. To save space on the face, the power, reset, and forward I/O ports were placed on top, which consequently made them simple to reach. Aware of the dangers of dust to top facing I/O ports, Raidmax provided a shielding door to protect them.

The super computer you can create on this system would make this system steam without proper ventilation. Raidmax delivers a 120mm intake fan up front, and a 90mm exhaust fan on the side window. The rear vent is designed to house another 120mm exhaust fan to be sure that the interior is as cool to the touch as the exterior is to look at.

Pros: This case is superb. The air flow is amazing. The quick lock function makes installation very easy and the drives stay snug.

Cons: The corners of the "columns" on the front are a little sharp and have caught my shirt more than once. That is easily avoidable though. It only comes with a front and side fan. You have to purchase the rear 120mm fan separately.

Other Thoughts: Very cool looking case. I would recommend this to anyone who wants great air flow.

Pros: Used this case in my first build. I love it. comes with a 120mm intake fan, and I added one more for exhausting. Case now is glowing blue color with side blue LED fan. Keeps everything nice and cool.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: very cheap price and high value function.

Waste of money and space

Pros: Umm... it's black?

Cons: Very poorly constructed. It was a difficult case to get stuff into, and its poor quality was apparent from the get-go. The little plastic clips that hold the front panel on broke within a couple days of doing nothing but sitting there, holding the front panel on. It looks nice in the picture, but really ugly when you actually see the thing.

Other Thoughts: This case is of the quality I have come to expect from $20 cases, not $80 cases.

Pros: This case looks and feels great. The fans keep it nice and cool, and they are quiet to boot.

Cons: Tab that holds the front panel on looks flimsy. Haven't had a problem yet, but i can feel one coming.

Other Thoughts: Other reviewers complained about sharp edges on the front colums. I think Raidmax fixed this because mine aren't sharp at all.

Pros: Front door access is awesome. The big fan up front is a whisper. The USB ports on top are convenient. There are TONS of spaces for hard drives and CD ROMs. I plan on getting some filler things to let me put 3.5" in a 5.25". The case is sturdy from day to day.

Cons: The clips that clasp the door are trash. Super glue them onto the case. The case did bend when I moved. The side panel is now difficult to line up.

Other Thoughts: Everyone comments on how awesome my case looks. It has TONS of room to expand. I have one of the longest video cards ever and it fits fine.
