OverviewCustomer ReviewSpecificationsProduct Tour
Thanks to its advanced design, building a gaming rig in the Aztec case from Raidmax won't involve a blood sacrifice. Thanks to its roomy interior and innovative design features your hands and fingers will be saved for pounding your opponents into the sand. The case design also sports plenty of fans for superior airflow so the only heat will be what you lay down on your enemies!

System setup is eased by having the mobo tray attached to the right side panel. Undo the locking screws and remove the side panels and you have a totally open chassis. Install the mobo and expansion cards to the side panel along with the CPU and memory then all you have to do is put it back in place as a unit. But first install all your drives in the tool-less racks. When both sections are assembled all you have to do is connect the wiring.

There are fans everywhere to keep your components cool. A 120mm fan is mounted on the back panel for main ventilation. The side panel has an 80mm fan to boost CPU cooling. There is a retaining bar designed to help hold your video cards in place, and that too has an 80mm fan vented to the outside. The gaming gods are calling, it's time to answer!

Amazing case

Pros: This case is absolutely amazing. I have been a fan of the full size form factor ATX, which caused me to shy away from this case. I was dead wrong about this case. It weighs in at 30 lbs (5 lbs heavier then my current full size ATX), and survived shipping without so-much as a scratch. It has 2x120mm fans, one in the front and one in the back of the case, 2x80mm fans and a slot for a 3rd 80mm fan. The quick release on the internal components, such as the Hard Drive and CD drive, are extremely sturdy (absolutely no movement). It has a re-moveable Main Board tray and the hinge technology on both sides of the case which makes for easy installation. Air flow through this case with all of these fans, is phenomenal. If you are looking to buy a case on a shoe-string budget, this case fits the bill. Raidmax has made a lifetime customer out of me.
Cons: none.

Good case

Pros: Definitely a solidly built case, was impressed by the weight of it barebone. Harddrive rack swivels and can be removed fairly easily if needed. Includes a box of screws and such underneath the harddrive rack. Nice addition.
Cons: The USB ports in the front are a bit inconvenient as you can't shut the door with something plugged into one of those spots (such as my network adapter). Almost always have the front door open.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: The internal architecture for this thing is really great for the vast majority of users' needs. The swing arm is cool, but by far the best feature is being able to drop the motherboard side of the case out so you can build without having to acrobat your components into your motherboard.

The hard drive cage is cool, but only fits 4 hard drives and conflicts with the video card, but more on this in cons. Plenty of 5.25" bays for the size of the case, nice fan placement.
Cons: I've had this case for a year, and I'm hoping this will help people out who are planning on using this case for the long haul. Again, great case, but here are some of the problems I've found during upgading.

It won't fit most 260-sized graphics cards because of where the hard drive cage is located. If you have more than two hard drives, you're basically out of luck, because the top two slots of the HDD cage conflict with where your PCI-E slot likely is on your motherboard. Again, this may not be the case with all motherboards, but it is with many that I've seen, even those with two PCI-E slots. I bought a 260 GTX and had to return it because there was just no way it would fit. I got a 9800 GT (approx. 8.5"~) instead, and it still hits the SATA cable coming out of the hard drive in the top slot of the cage. I felt this was worth making another review for. I docked it one egg for this because the documentation doesn't specifically state the size limit for you graphics card.
Other Thoughts: With the exception of the major flaw between the hard drive cage and where most GPU slots on most motherboards will be, I have no complaints with this case. I prefer the front as it blocks the lights from my fan controller, etc., and I like the architecture. I just wish the hard drive cage had the cable-sides of my hard drives facing out instead of in, and it would be perfect. If you have a standard graphics card and don't need to run two 260s in SLI, no problems here. But if you have more than three hard drives and want to run anything sized 9800GT and up, beware. Not only will it physically conflict, but it makes it an awful pain to change things around because of the tight fit.
