Cons: This case is larger than you think. It might be too big for most HTPC solutions. The MB tray leaves a lot to be desired - it's thin. 2 of the mounting tabs are easily bent & broken off. Mounting the PS can be a problem - there is not quite enough clearance, hight wise, for a high end PS.
Other Thoughts: When I purchased this case there was a rebate - it was denided, even though the paper work was sent the day the case was recieved. -1 egg. Mounting the PS & the MB tray = -1 egg The size of the case can be a + or - depending on the application. As a desktop it works fine. The top & sides are easily removed which makes it easy to add fans or vents.

Not Worth Buying
Reviewed By: on 12/11/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: The case is well designed for easy access and appearance. It is a shame that RAIDMAX's manufacturing department does not have the same high standards as their design engineers.
Cons: The construction of this case is very poor. The pressed-in thread inserts fell out of the panels the first time the screws were removed.
After six months, the cheap welds holding the hard drive mounting brackets broke, allowing the hard drives to fall onto the motherboard. Upon inspection, the second hard drive mounting bracket also had cracks along the welds and was certain to break too.
The customer service department at RAIDMAX was very difficult to work with. It took numerous phone calls and several un-answered emails before they would send the replacement parts. They may as well sell their products "as-is" without any warranty.

Adequate Design, Nice looks
Reviewed By: SSGjoe on 12/7/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: -The outside of the case looks nice. -Everything fit -Leightweight -Quiet -Easy to install 3.5" and 5.25" drives, mobo, and PSU
Cons: -The mobo tray was to thin (flimsy). It became slightly warped when I put in my mobo backplate -My full size ATX PSU fits in the case very, very snugly (to close for comfort) -While it is very quiet, there is not a lot of airflow. It has one 120mm fan that sits behind and ABOVE the mobo.
Other Thoughts: Two thoughts: 1. Heat might be an issue for some people. I used this case for an Atom based home NAS using "Green" HDDs, so I didn’t have to worry about a lot of heat being generated. The case does have some air intake holes in the front, but they are negated by the front faceplate. So there are no actual air intake vents in the front/side panels. 2. I had a problem with the case front panel power LED. I used an Intel BOXD945GCLF2D mobo, which has two male pins for the power LED. The case LED connector is only two wires, BUT...they are connected to a female 3 pin plug (one of the female connectors has no wire attached to it). To get the power LED connector to fit the mobo, I had to cut it in half, separate the wires, and connect it to the mobo like that. It works great now (only took a few extra minutes to do). Just some FYI.
