Helios

Power Your Gaming World

The Helios gaming case—with its black meshed front panel and front mounted LED fan design—displays a powerful appearance and functionality. The optional 120mm fan on the top panel extracts heat while the front mounted LED fan cools your hard drives. The optional side window-mounted 120mm blue LED fan also provides optimum cooling performance and a great look. A generous chassis depth lets you install longer cards and allows more room for installing a larger power supply. 3.5in. HDD racks are also available for variable HDD or SSD installation. Top all that with tool-free installation and cable management, and you'll see there's no competition that stands up to Helios.

5 out of 5 eggsJust enough space

Pros: This case just came in today, I loved the quality of it and the space of the case.
Installed the ASUS M5a99fx motherboard and a AMD FX-9370 AND it has just enough space for the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo although it touches the plexiglass, it fits without any problems at all !!! great cooling and fan space...looks like a space ship Excellent case Raidmax!!

Cons: Only con is that when I installed a top fan, it prevents me from connecting my CPU power so I took the fan out and used it as a push pull for my cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet looking budget case to upgrade later

Pros: I bought this case almost 2 yrs ago for a budget gamer for my kids that I planned to upgrade over time. At the time I was already maxing out on cost so had to compromise on some things. The great thing is that the case still looked and performed great out of the box for a single GPU set up; but once I added a crossfire setup and water cooling, I replaced the 2 cheap molex only front LED fans with Bitfenix variable fans and the top 120mm fan also with a high performance red Bjtfenix LED fan, with another red LED fan pushing air out the back of the case through the CPU fan radiator. This case now looks absolutely sweet and I've gotten a lot of complements on it. More importantly, running crossfire with dual Powercolor Devil R9 270X's and an Overclocked fx6300 the case still runs cool under max load. I think Raidmax makes some of the coolest looking cases for the money, if you're willing to upgrade the fans eventually. The front fans are held on with clips that you have be a little careful removing; I used a screwdriver to push in the lip of the clip before popping out.

Cons: front fan grills will accumulate dirt, lint you have to clean.

Other Thoughts: A little patience required when removing/upgrading the front fans;

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing for the price.

Pros: -Side Window
-Cable Management
-All the fans (that still work a year later!)
-Dust cover for the PSU
-Good air flow
-Blue fans

Cons: -The front panel's fan slot fins break easy.
-Putting the front brackets back in takes some patience.
-Rubbers on the bottom fall off.

Other Thoughts: If you're thinking about this case of the Aeleous. as a cheap budget case, think no more. It'll last and work 'til the computer dies!

2 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: Cheap Case, large side panel behind motherboard tray to hide cables and bottom mount PSU with removable dust filter. Mesh design on front of case to allow for max airflow (see cons for fan mount trouble)

Cons: Cheaply designed case, ONLY one terrible quality fan included, shoddy "clip-mount" on the front fan mounts (extreme "pain in the rear" to install screw-mounted fans in ANY of the 4 spots provided on this case). I could not use top rear fan "mount" without cutting the plastic fins off of the plastic vent covering the top rear fan mount. I had to fabricate some metal fan strips to run under the plastic vent assembly while mounting the fan on the OUTSIDE of case due to the close proximity of the motherboard tray. Extremely frustrating fan mounts that all require some modification just to hold fans. No dust filtration on the front of case.

Other Thoughts: Poorly designed fan placement for any type of case fan mounts.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggslove this for budget builds

Pros: I keep buying these cases for budget builds for around $40 after rebate/discount.

You can't beat it for that price. Everything in it works, I've never had one come defective in any way.

Only comes with 1 fan, so you'd typically want to at least have a second 120mm to install as exhaust in either the rear panel or the top panel.

I find the front panel cable lengths to be pretty good.

Theres room to hide cables behind the motherboard plate.

Cons: only comes wiht one fan maybe

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case Great Price

Pros: Cool design IMO, very roomy can fit large GPU's with a breeze good ventilation good space to tuck away cables nice smoked side window the price i bought mine for 50$ lots of available fan upgrades. Has the features and looks of a 100$ case.

Cons: only thing i didn't like was the fact that it only came with one fan its pretty decent nothing special but will have to buy more fans to match the blue led's not a issue though.

Other Thoughts: If your on a budget and need something good without breaking the bank get this boy for under 55$ its a good deal

5 out of 5 eggsquestion - RAIDMAX Helios ATX-819WB

Pros: question about the top rear mounted 120mm fan...

Cons: question about the fan top rear

Other Thoughts: does the top panel remove enough to allow good access through the fan cutout on the top back end/ none of the videos i saw on YouTube or NewEgg show that feature.
the case appears riveted in place along the top frame joints.
i'd assume another fan could be placed there but not sure if the space allows a water cool fan with radiator in the area upper inside ?
