5 out of 5 eggsBEST BUDGET GAMING CASE

Pros: THE MOST EXTERNAL 5.25" BAYS AVAILABLE IN A MID TOWER CASE. TONS OF THINGS FIT IN 5.25" BAYS. IT HAS CABLE MANAGEMENT. IT HAS A HANDLE. IT HAS MULTIPLE MOUNTS ON THE SIDE PANEL FOR ALTERNATE SIDE FAN CONFIGURATIONS. IT CAN BE CONFIGURED WITH ONE OR TWO FRONT FANS I UP ANY OF 7 DIFFERENT POSITIONS LEAVING 3 EXTERNAL BAYS STILL AVAILABLE. INTERNAL DRIVES MOUNT EASILY BEHIND THE FANS. FRONT INTAKE AND BOTTOM
INTAKE AREA ARE FILTERED. ROOM TO STUFF A HUDGE CPU COOLER IF AIR COOLING IS YOUR THING. NO BLOW HOLES IN TOP OF CASE. THAT IS IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE I DO ON RARE OCCASION SPILL STUFF AND I LIKE BEING ABLE TO SET STUFF ON TOP OF THE CASE. THE FRONT USB, AUDIO, AND POWER/RESET BUTTON FACE FRONT, NOT UPWARD

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I WOULD HAVE LIKE A FEW MORE MILLIMETERS OF SPACE BEHIND THE MOTHERBOARD TRAY. I WOULD HAVE LIKE A LITTLE TIGHTER MESH ON THAT SIDE PANEL FOR BETTER FILTRATION. I WOULD HAVE LIKED AN EXTERNAL SATA DRIVE BAY INSTALLED UNDER THAT HANDLE AREA. I WOULD HAVE LIKED 1 MORE USB 3.0 PORT UP FRONT.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, Simple Case

Pros: - Great airflow
- Red LED lights on fans are cool
- Easy to use clips on sides
- Spot on top you can use as a handle when moving around

Cons: - Have to open up both sides of case if you want to move/remove something from the front

Other Thoughts: Great case for a mid-sized tower with excellent airflow (still blowing cold after a year)

1 out of 5 eggsside bent, box open

Pros: looks cool

Cons: the side fan has the wrong connector for the fan speed and led dimmer, tool less drive bays very loose, absolutely zero information about the 3.5 billion cables coming off the panel on the front

Other Thoughts: when the box arrived, it was open, I could see the front of the drive bays, and a dent in the side of the box, I didn't think about it, then of course, after I put the mother board in and cables routed, I realized the motherboard side was crazy dented, due to the fact that I hate shipping stuff back because I live in the sticks, I am keeping it, but might think twice about buying newegg stuff

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We're sorry you received a dented unit.
Seems like it's been opened, maybe the freight carrier damaged it.
You can easily file a claim with them.
Or, if you like to process a RMA with us, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: Looks. Definitely a well built case, definitely well-made. The mesh side panel is great as well. It also came with three fans, one of which is absolutely huge! Airflow is not a problem since the entire front is mesh as well.

Cons: Only one USB 3.0 port, not that big of a deal. The fan controls on the front of the case only work when you have separate fan and LED cables for your case fans. So, the LED and speed controls only work with the front fan since the large side one only connects via molex.

Other Thoughts: A great case I got in a package of parts from Newegg. Definitely a great buy on its own though!

3 out of 5 eggsGood case for price

Pros: Great airflow, and it looks good.

Cons: Cable management, and mine did not come with screws for the internal parts.

Other Thoughts: Might give another star if it came with everything listed.

3 out of 5 eggsOkay

Pros: It has good fan control and the layout inside the case is easily accessable

Cons: The Front audio jack has failed and it hasn't been a year yet. Also the design for "tool free" installation wasn't the best, the clips break easily.

Other Thoughts: good overall, probably wouldn't have spent 80$ on it though.

1 out of 5 eggsJust bad

Pros: Looks good, that's really about it.

Cons: Cable management was a pain, and there was a motherboard pin that was out of alignment, and caused a part of the motherboard to not be attached to the case. After getting it all together the best I can, I went to plug my phone into the USB port on the front panel and I heard a loud POP and my hand went felt like it had been electrocuted, and since then my Ethernet port on my motherboard. Was fairly annoyed by this. I have not plugged anything in the front panel for a YEAR, and then it works fine. I'm not sure if this is something I did, or was a result of the pin not being aligned correctly.

Other Thoughts: Looks good, other than that I would not recommend. It felt ... cheap unfortunately.

4 out of 5 eggsLong term review

Pros: 1.) 9 5.25" bays
2.) Handle on the top of the case
3.) Integrated feet that raise the case up
4.) Plenty of room for hiding cables
5.) Easy tool-less 5.25" bay installation
6.) Low cost for a lot of case

Cons: 1.) No cable management holes below the motherboard
2.) No cable management holes above the motherboard
3.) Needs more places to run zip-tie cables
4.) Side panel fan can't be used with some CPU coolers

Other Thoughts: I bought the red version of this case over a year ago for my home file server. Filled it with 2 iStarUSA 4x3 5.25" hard drive raid enclosures, 1 Blu-Ray drive, 1 DVD drive, and 1 5.25" hard drive bay for a removable SSD caddy. I just rebuilt the system with a new motherboard and changed the CPU cooler from a regular fan/heatsink, to a Corsair H60 watercooler. My experience over the year has been that this is a gorgeous case for very little money and one of the few cases with 9 fully usable 5.25" drive bays. As I mentioned in the cons, the only real issue with this case is a lack of more cable management holes, everything ends up getting crowded with the few holes provided. The biggest problem is of course the side panel fan. It sticks into the case and hits cables and gets in the way of any tall CPU coolers. It was completely unusable with a Corsair H60 watercooler mounted at the back of the case. There is no way to keep the hoses clear of the fully exposed fan blades. Thankfully, Raidmax included fan mounts on the side panel for a 120MM fan, so removing the larger fan and reusing the screws with a 120MM worked perfectly and had all the clearance necessary for the watercooler hoses. I would highly recommend this case for a file server if you want to fill the 5.25" bays with hard drive caddies. Also, checkout the iStarUSA caddies to go with it.

2 out of 5 eggsRAIDMAX Seiran ATX-902WB

Pros: 9 5.25" external bays

Cons: 1. Not enough cable management space behind the motherboard tray. The pushed out side panel design is not enough depth or area to store unused power supply cables.

2. The "180 MM side fan" is not usable with large 158 MM CPU cooler installed.

3. Unable to adjust depth of 5.25" optical drives. If you use the tool less mount, the drives stick out a bit, If you use screws the drives can either stick out or be pushed in too far. No custom adjustment unless you like to grind away some of the metal between mounting holes.

4. Case comes with only one set of 120 MM mounts for front mounting. I'd like to be able to mount two fans up front. A second set of mounts should be included. This is a gaming case.

Other Thoughts: Guess I need to do a few mods on this case to make fit for me.
