4 out of 5 eggsvery solid, no major complaints

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra ATX-502WBG Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I like how this case looks. I think it looks very sharp with the green LED's. I like how the case is wider than most other mid towers. Cable management was good as well behind the motherboard. 5.25" drive bay was very easy to install. The 3.5" drive bay took a little more effort to get in, but once it is installed right it is easy to pull the drive out if needed. The 2.5" drive bay can be removed as well which may help people who have a crazy long video card.

Case itself feels pretty sturdy, my mobo had no problems lining up with the standoffs provided.

Great value for the price (got it for less than $50 after coupon and rebate)

Cons: The side window is basically pointless. It's too small and the window is tinted very dark. You really cant see much looking through it. The power switch/ front panel connectors is really the only part of this case that looks/feels a little cheap. It would have been nice to have a LED power button. Also, it is impossible to ell which of the USB ports is the 3.0 one when the green LED is on. There are no markings indicating the type of usb connectors.

My biggest gripe is the usb 3.0 front panel connector blocks the ability to place a second 120mm fan up front. It physically cannot be done.

Fan mesh dust blockers feel cheap, not sure how durable they will be.

Other Thoughts: Great value for the money, I'm pretty happy with this and dont regret buying it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra ATX-502WBG Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Solid case, very well designed. Clips to mount any internal drives are a definite upgrade over my previous case that used screws. Lots of time savings there.

All front port cables come in through the lower half of the case, means you don't have to drag any of those cables over a video card. USB2 and USB3.0, make sure your Mobo has USB 3.0 connections. Lots of extra goodies in the box for easier cable management.

Mounting plate for motherboard allows for better airflow in the case.

Cons: Nothing to dock a star for, but some things to note.

-Only comes with two case fans. There are places for more, but those must be bought separately.

-The mounting plate is a good concept, but the mounting pegs are impossible to remove without pliers. If you need to move them to accomodate your motherboard, you will need pliers to get them out as well as get them into the different slots.

-Side panel window is small. Not a big deal, but I wish it was bigger so the green glow of the case could mix with the blue glow from my PSU and the red glow from my Mobo.

Other Thoughts: I got this when the price was still $60.00 plus a $15.00. It's still a good case for $100 or so and I can see why they raised the prices.

This case replaced the Antec 900 that I used for almost 7 years. So far, I'm liking this case better in every way except the smaller side panel window and lack of included fans. Better layout and aesthetics.

5 out of 5 eggsMonster at the least

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra ATX-502WBG Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case will indefinitely be a memorable part of my first gaming rig. The cable management is nice (my psu isn't even modular and I fit it all in the back still). There is plenty of room within the case for large cards, and coolers as well. My cnps10x optima fits will within the case. The cooling definitely has some upgradability as it has space for about 5 fans total in the chassis. Also, the reset/power buttons are very responsive and prove very efficient in their function.

tl;dr
It's a well-sized case with some fancy lights and useful ports.

Cons: I don't have too many gripes on this case. The only real issue I've somewhat had so far was that the quality of the included stock fans is somewhat lacking. The back case fan included needs to be physically pushed sometimes in order to begin rotation. This isn't a HUGE setback at the moment, but I plan on buying better ones ASAP. Either way, my system temp is about 30-32 C.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this case to just about anyone who wants to build a budget computer with a case that can compete with standards like that of the Cooler Master HAF 912 and such. It's stylish, and functional. What else could you possibly want in a computer case?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

Pros: So far i love the case itself. The space is great for my first build.

Cons: The only thing that buged me is that one panle on the side felt like it was wellded on to where it is really hard to open. if it wasnt for that i would have given this a five stare rate.
