3 out of 5 eggsThe Screws!

Pros: It is a very nice looking case, comes with many features! I love the bay's that hold 5.5" inch drives. They are amazing and in the best place! It is very easy to organize your wires in the back because the case includes reusable ties!

Cons: Where you installbyour motherboard is the worst place ever! When I installed my motherboard the motherboard screws got stuck in there so now my motherboard is stuck in there! The screws in the case suck I mean everyone would hate them!

4 out of 5 eggsNot perfect but good, would buy again

Pros: - Overall good quality. Structurally durable.

- MB standoffs are separate brass slugs, not built-in to the case, which I like.

- HDD and ROM disk drive installation is tool-less and works well. (Need one screw/nut per PCI card)

- Chassis fans run quiet, and the HDD is cushioned well so it's also quiet while reading/writing.

- Came with one SATA cable having a 90-degree connector on one end, which was great since these are necessary for the HDDs because of the way they're mounted.

Cons: - No filter on the front intake fan.

- Bottom PSU placement made my 12v MB line go right over the RAM and tend to drape onto it, and there is no built-in cable management so I had to get a bit creative.

- SATA power to the HDDs needs to have a 90-degree connector (if those exist), otherwise the wires have to take a sharp turn when you put the cover on. I was able to "comb" all the wires into a single band and then bend them down, which makes them touch the inside of the case when it's on but there is little or no tension. Either a 90-degree SATA power adapter should be included, or the HDDs should sit a little further into the case to give more room for the power connectors and wires.

Other Thoughts: I've seen some cases that look pretty awesome but they're cheaply made and/or poorly designed. This case is not one of those. Aside from the minor cons I listed, it's pretty much everything I was expecting and hoping for. I bought this case to build a computer for a friend, and I'll definitely consider it when I upgrade my own.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent product!

Pros: I was hesitant about getting this case after reading some of the cons in reviews from other customers, but I decided to give it a go anyway because of the really nice rebate. I do not regret that decision at all.

First of all, the tool-less design works very well! You'll get plenty of clips for installing HDDs/SSDs and I've never had any break or not lock into place.

The cable management works very well for me! Some people may have trouble, depending on how many cables they really have, but I think the typical user will be satisfied. Even the thick main power line fits fine!

I saw someone complained about the PSU location in one review, but it's standard that PSUs are at the bottom of cases nowadays. Mine's down there and, because of my thick carpet, I just cut a piece of cardboard for my PC to sit on so airflow remains optimal. I've never had overheat issues of any kind and the airflow through this case is the best I've seen.

Cons: There are a few cons, but nothing major. All of them combined to subtract an egg, but only barely.

First, the HDD activity LED cables (3 total) are labeled similarly to the PWR LED cables and it's difficult to tell which goes into which pin on the MB. But it shouldn't be a big issue. If the light doesn't come on, you probably just need to switch the polarity.

There are no SD card readers in this. That's one feature I would've really liked to see, but I can get an adapter or something cheap, so, again, not a big issue.

As I mentioned previously, my carpet is pretty thick and I needed to put a piece of cardboard under my PC to allow airflow into the PSU. Larger feet would've also been a good solution.

Other Thoughts: It's a good looking case! Sleek, good color choices, good airflow. I definitely recommend buying this as long as you can deal with the cons I mentioned.

5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: I bought this to replace my 10 year old JPAC case. I am very happy with this case, it is sturdy and well made, design looks good, lots of space.

Cons: Only con is the hard drive cables have to be bent harshly and the case side panel kind of forcibly put on because of the cable placement. I have read there are different cable designs that prevent this but I don't think it's something to worry over.

Other Thoughts: I like it a lot.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: As advertised, was very pleased

Cons: The only 2 cons I have, 1 being a tiny con and the other a design flaw. The side panels have to be thumbscrewed in or the panels do not square up to the body. They preinstalled filters on all the fan ports........except the front intake!!!!

Other Thoughts: Although the major filtering design flaw I would highly recommend this case.

2 out of 5 eggsCase good, company bad

Pros: The case is stone simple to build with, nice and wide for huge heat sinks and the tool free design works well. 2 included fans is nice for the price, but of course at this price you also don't get any case based fan speed control. Everything was decently made and it all fit like it should.

Case gets 4 stars based on bang for the buck, but minus 2 for being a shady company.

Cons: Raidmax and their penny pinching rebate scam tactics. First is the fact they make you submit in 21 days instead of 30 so you have less of a window to make sure things work before cutting up the box. But the kicker is when I went to submit online to get the rebate registered the website just shut me down with "rebate expired" it wasn't expired, of course, but how do you argue with a computer form that is required to submit the paper form? Advertise rebate, deny rebate...profit!!!

Other Thoughts: Sometimes "you get what you pay for" is a deeper concept. Even when the product is well made you are probably getting the shaft elsewhere, like horrible customer service or a rigged rebate system. For $40 (price with rebate) this case is a pretty good deal, for $55 I would have most certainly gone with something else.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We do not handle rebates ourselves.
We outsource another rebate processing company to handle our rebates.
Previously, there were customers that had some issues, all they did was sent a email to and it was all resolved.
If you have further questions, please send a email to for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

5 out of 5 eggsRAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBR Black/Red Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I have to say was very worried about buying this case, but I am impressed with it instead. It is not poorly made as I thought , LOTS of room my Noctua NH-d14 fits perfect, cable management was a breeze.

Cons: Not really a bad con but the only thing that would be wrong with this case is the red decorative piece in the front its a little flimsy, not enough to take an egg off tho.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek, Sexy and Light

Pros: This chassis houses the very first computer I ever built on my's a GREAT budget builder/first time builder cases. Sleek, sexy style and a beautiful lighting effect on the front panel (I have the red one).

* Spacious - it looks relatively small on the outside, but there's plenty of room to work inside

* Lightweight - compact appearance doesn't deceive, this puppy is light and balanced.

* Expansion - lots of expansion options, room for up to 4 additional fans, several additional hard drives and up to three 5x2 drive slots

* FX - beautiful, sexy red lighting on the front, with a sleek black casing. Impressive looking chassis.

* Overall size - compact, easy to fit on the desk rather than on the floor. Doesn't take up much room.

Cons: Very few but a MAJOR flaw with this unit:

* Power Supply Placement - is on the BOTTOM of the chassis. If you have an upward venting Power Supply this will be an issue, as the spacing between the power supply and PCI-E slots is very small. Hence, the heat exhaust given off by your gfx card (which will very likely have to be installed with the fans upside down) and the blowout from the power supply will collide, creating a heat vortex inside the chassis. A micro-thermometer reading taken from the space between the PSU and the GFX showed a significantly higher temperature than the rest of the unit

Other Thoughts: I received this as part of a bundle purchase. I confess the look of the chassis was part of the reason why I wanted this bundle, but at the same time the other pieces in the bundle were rated excellently. The PSU location is an issue that I am worried about. but otherwise I love it.
