1 out of 5 eggsmissing standoff for mATX?

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: not sure since the Con mean I couldn't finish the build.

Cons: I tried to put a Gigabyte H97M-D3H mATX board in this case and there is no standoff hole available for the rightmost board mounting hole. If the I/O panel is on the upper left, it's the mounting hole at "4 o'clock". I think this is very popular, typical board so I feel like I'm missing something. Am I supposed to tap my own standoff hole?

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case I have purchased since the HAF-X

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Bought this a year ago as a computer for our cabin, and I liked it so much that I am about to order another one for my bedroom at home, but realized I never gave it a review last year. There is nothing wrong with this case, everything is perfect. From the materials and workmanship, to the cable management, to the drive-swap ability, this is the perfect mid-tower case for those that love the red on black look. It is pretty quiet, and the red fan led is super red (not faded pink/orange like other cheap fans). It is in fact the deepest, truest red of any fan I have seen. I am excited to have a second one in as many years!

Cons: As others have stated, the only con is no dust screen on the front fan. You can take the cover off and install a screen between the fan and the chassis if you wish. You would have to unscrew the fan each time to clean. Our cabin is clean and free of pets, but with two cats in the bedroom for my second build of this, I am going to re-purpose some old window screens.

Other Thoughts: While this approaches the pricetag of top name brand full towers, reading the reviews about the cheap construction and material quality of cheaper towers for a quick bedroom, and having owned this for a year already at the cabin, makes me not chance it and stick with the quality. You really do get what you pay for. My main computer is the infamous HAF-X tower, but I didn't need a full tower or want to break the bank for a bedroom PC.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty sweet case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case has great expansion options. I had 3x120mm fans laying around and added them right in (2@top 1@bottom) I have My i7 4790 running at 39 degrees C while gaming. Just on some extra fans. Mounting the board was simple and quick. Great case for any level user. The case has quick access and the Blue lights are an added plus. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

Cons: I don't currently use water cooling, but the gaskets for he entering and exit hose fall off easily. Not a big deal for most, but thought it worth mentioning

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: There's plenty of room and I like how you can adjust the 2.5" bay to 3.5", or remove it all together.

Cons: The blue plastic on the front looks a little cheesy/cheap, and the front fan's wires are a bit short and don't reach the port on my motherboard

Other Thoughts: All in all, it's fairly decent, and definitely a great case for my first build.

5 out of 5 eggsDayum its Sexy!

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This is one dead sexy case. Everything is smooth and coated. The tool-less aspects are great and work very well. This thing has so many vents for air flow and fans and OH MY GOODNESS the space. The Velcro straps and anchors along with all the cable management behind the motherboard make this one of the sexiest machines I have ever built. I am going to be using this brand for a while. I was able to put a Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU Cooler in without a sweat and even an ASUS STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5 GeForce GTX 970 (about 11.5 inches long and 1.5 inches high) video card and it is a beast, but this case was able to hold it without even blinking. Just can not say enough good things about this case. It is even comes ready to handle just about any water cooling system. Even has vent filters.

Cons: nothing yet

Other Thoughts: This is one sexy case and with so much room. I am VERY happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsNot What I expected

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Excellent cable management. Color matched velcro ties, in various sizes. Pre-installed grommets for water cooling. Fitment of side panels is perfect - sides come off and go on very easily and have convenient handles. Bulges in the side panels help when fitting the doors back on especially on the back side where you will be hiding all of your cables. The hard drive side rails work nicely and were not a struggle to fit onto the hard drives or into the case. And that they included rails for both 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch drives was a nice surprise. Looks much better in person than in the pictures on the internet. dust covers for the front USB and audio ports.

Cons: vinyl filter on the bottom of the case was not attached very well and pulled off when I was setting up the computer in my sons room. Expansion slots are not tool-less.
Neither of these warrants the removal of an egg...

Other Thoughts: This is the first Raidmax case I have ever used. I always thought they had some cool looking cases, but always opted for a more expensive brand. Then I had to build a gaming computer for my son. I let him pick the case and he chose the Cobra Z with blue trim to match his room. I was apprehensive because I felt Raidmax was too cheap to be any good, but ordered it for him anyway.
I am stunned at how nice this case really is. Never mind the led lit fans, or the front bezel with the optimus prime looking grill. My son thinks that is the best part of the case.
The cable management is fantastic. The motherboard tray has holes for cables to be hidden on the back side of the case exactly where you need them. The case is light but is not a "cheap" case at all. What impressed me most was the finish. The back panel is painted to match the rest of the case not just left bare metal like most other manufacturers do. the grommets are in place for not just water cooling but also in the top of the case should you want to add fans there. The covers on the front ports helps keep the smooth appearance to the front of the case. the expansion slot covers are unique as well.
I am truly impressed by Raidmax and this case. If you are considering this case, buy it you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsRAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: with nice bulge on both sides, helps with cable management, nice and easy panel removable, and replacement, also easy to understand cables.

Cons: the liquid cooling rubber slots fall off way to often, when building this computer I had pulled them off and stuck them to the side so I would not lose them.

Other Thoughts: a bit big, but worth it, also get a 3.0 motherboard that has a usb 3.0 slot, I got an asus m5 a97 le r2.0 witch only has usb 3.0 it directly attached to the motherboard, with no usb slots on it. jest watch witch motherboard you purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nicely designed case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: for such an inexpensive case, this was a well thought out design. Lots of room to work and route cables. Plenty of flexibility in where to put drives and cards. Screwless drive trays worked perfectly. The addition of Velcro and Velcro tie down spots was just more icing on the cake.

Cons: I liked the Velcro tie downs so much, I just with there was more Velcro.

Other Thoughts: You really can't go wrong with this case. I'll probably use it for all my builds now.

5 out of 5 eggsRaidmax Cobra Z ATX

This review is from: RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX-502WBU Black/Blue Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: the RAIDMAX Cobra Z ATX case is a great case for it's price... having three easy to remove and put back on bay covers, front power button on one side of the 3.0 USB, w HD audio port, and a 2.0 USB port between them and having covers for them so you don't get dust in the ports... this Mid tower case is an amazing case for it's price... the front blue LED fan is not only quite but puts off the blue LED light really good... now for the right panel and inside of the case... the panel door has an amazing window so you can see your motherboard and all the other parts.. inside the case easy to mount the CD/DVD drive and easy to mount hard drives.. between the ROM drive and Hard Drive spots, you can install SSD cards or if you have a video card and it just doesn't seem to fit, you can remove it for more room... over all good computer case for it's price and amazing features...

Cons: none at all.. if you have any cons, then the case just wasn't meant for you ;)
