5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Lightweight, everything that i expected from this case was here. Not damaged in the slightest. All ports work and the fan works. I like the filters that come on the front and bottom of the case.

Cons: Cant think of any real cons, Raidmax did a nice job with this case.

4 out of 5 eggsLooks good but is flimsy

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks good

Cons: The metal is very thin and the base bent. The case is shipped without any additional packing material so it shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

Other Thoughts: I should be able to bend it back and it should be just fine. I needed a cheap case and I got a cheap case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks good, Great cable management, Good airflow, and to top it all off its relatively cheap. I really like this case. If your on a budget, this case is perfect. Im running an fx 8350 and an R9 290X air cooled and the multiple 120mm fans you can add (not included) make for this being a nice cool system.

Cons: None that I can see atm. I notice a lot of people complaining of it being flimsy, i havent noticed really. The only issue ive seen that I actually dealt with was the lack of drive bay locks. Theyre shown in the manual but dont come with the case for some reason, but it was nothing a couple screws couldnt fix.

Other Thoughts: Like I said, this is a decent budget case that offers good airflow and cable management. It also looks great with the whole system packed into it.

4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: everything you need from a budget bought case.
case is good to look at and offers great flexibility in cable management
desighned well for decent air flow, if the manufacture doubled the metal thickness it would be a great case for say 60 bucks

Cons: as a $40 case it shows. the case is pretty flimsy, the side panels will bend very easily and because of that prone to damage. see other

Other Thoughts: onto the reason why its 4 stars is because it was cheaply made even though there was no indication on the box being damaged from shipping apon removing the case from box revealed 2 unpleasant damages. bottom right corner of psu mount had been bent 1/4-1/2 from the back going into the windowed side panel and the non windowed side panel had a dent in one of the case design folds and due to the nature of a cheap cases it is you get what you pay for, in my instance it was easier for me to remove a rivet and bend the metal back in place and re-rivet than to send it back for damages.

2 out of 5 eggsThe case of the missing drive bay mounting locks

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great design for a gaming chassis lots of cable routing to keep the cables out of sight and allow better interior airflow.

Cons: There were no drive bay mounting locks to install ANY drives. I was looking over the lil manual that came with the case & it shows the locks but the case came with no locks.. WTH are these sold separately??

Other Thoughts: Other than the missing drive bay mounting locks it looks like a great case. I don't want a reaplcement shipped out I just want the plastic drive bat mounting locks...

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Fits all components nicely.
Has a window.
Lightweight.

Cons: Cheap quality.
Difficult to disassemble.
Too much cable cluttering.
Missing crucial parts.
Very poor manual and instructions.
Frustrating to put together.

Other Thoughts: Let me start off by saying that I had no choice but to get this tower as it was in a combo. I would trade it out for a much better tower in a heartbeat if possible.

First off, the manual is not helpful. It's full of typos, broken sentences and confusing diagrams. I used google more than the manual since it's near useless; it doesn't even explain where the FOUR different screws are used.

The I/O shield that came with the motherboard won't snap into place as it should. I actually cut myself trying to put it in.

The PSU goes on the bottom, which means it's going to suck in a lot of dust.

The tower features a removable slot to place HDD's in. Good luck removing it though, because the screws are glued in there. Coupled with the awkward angle, it's very difficult to unscrew them.

The tower also features a locking mechanism to secure HDD's and drives in their bay. The manual vaguely refers to this as the "free lock tool" and to "put it in the place" to lock the HDD. I had to google before I found out I needed this thing that WASN'T EVEN INCLUDED IN THE BOX! SERIOUSLY?!

I might have been having an off day, but this is a terrible product. Absolutely terrible. Save your money and buy a high quality tower. This thing will make you bleed - literally.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Buy!

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good Features for the Price tag.
Good room for the size.
Plenty of cooling.
Sleek look.
Bottom mounted PSU is a huge plus!

Cons: No Side fan option <Not necessary anyways>
Doesn't come with a front fan.
HDD enclosures very basic and outdated.

Other Thoughts: All in all this is a great budget case even for mid range gamers. The removable HDD rack to accept longer Video cards is a huge plus. While it can be a tad tight, this case offers plenty of wire management options that similar priced cases do not. The addition of a top exhaust fan is another plus as heat rises and this will vent that heat right out. If your looking for a decent gaming mid size tower this is a great option for the price. I would have given 5 eggs had the case come with a front fan but that is a minor point.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap Case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Cost
- Side Window
- Can house a computer

Cons: - Thin Metal
- Poor Construction
- Less than Minimum Accessories
- Not easy to build in
- Very little room to hide cables

Other Thoughts: Let me just start out by saying that at the price point, this is not a bad case. It doesn't look too bad, and can be quite good for a budget build. In terms of the good, it is nice on the pocketbook, has a side window for viewing your mess of cables, and serves its purpose of housing a computer quite well. Front panel ports aren't actually that bad for the price point either. But, that's about all the good there is. My biggest issue with the case is the fact that it only comes with 4 screws to mount the front fans. Two fans can be mounted. 4 screws per fan times 2 fans is 8 screws needed. I ended up having to just put two screws in each fan, which I absolutely hate. Aside from that, there is very little room to fit cables behind the back panel; I ended up shoving unused power supply cables in the 3.5 inch hard drive mounting locations as I had not 3.5 inch drives. The hard drives can easily be attached with screws on one side, but on the other side, you have to remove the front fans to access the screws. I definitely suggest putting all four screws in your drives, not to secure the drives, but to help make the case slightly more rigid. If you look at this case wrong, it bends and warps. I would definitely avoid this case if you move your computer a lot.

Overall, for the price, it is not a bad case. Just beware of its weaknesses and it can serve you well.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: For the price, it's perfect. Great looking and many places made for the cable management. I love it! All my device fit perfectly. It's just a shame that the usb port aren't in 3.0 (all of them)

Cons: The metal is prety weak, we feal that when we touch it. The green L.E.D. for the power work, but weakely.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but delicate

This review is from: RAIDMAX Vortex ATX-404WB Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks great outside and in, fine cable management, good access to underside of cpu/cooler, bottom-mounted psu, good front access interface for usb / audio jacks, good arrangement for rear / top fans, good placement / access of HDDs.

Cons: It's very thin metal, so can bend easily. I bought this for a PC that stays put, and so far it's lovely. But if you wanted to get in & out of it a lot, or move it around, I would suggest you buy something a bit heftier.

Other Thoughts: A good looking, but not stellar quality, case
