5 out of 5 eggsLove the Case!!!!

Pros: easy to set up. love the no tools needed, with the exception of mobo and PSU.
the wing side panel design is to great to pass up.
the best part is the little parts box to store all the little bits that easily get lost.

Cons: So far none that I have found, other than the fan the case comes with needed to be flipped around. But that is probably my preference on how I cool my systems lol.

Other Thoughts: I recommend anyone trying to put together a bargain system for gaming or even some other actual productive means, get this tower your IT dept. will love it. just for the simplicity of getting to the core components.

Those of you who were trashing this case, sorry but you are mistaken, this tower was able to lay wings out and all cables connected. no disconnection needed.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Case!

Pros: Nice and heavy. Sound deadening material on walls of case. Plenty of expansion space.

Cons: No real cable management available. Would suggest a fully modular Power Supply with this case.

Other Thoughts: One of the magnets on the door became unstuck from the door. Magnet is stronger than adhesive used. nothing a little hot glue cant handle.

3 out of 5 eggsabout what i expected

Pros: Price is low. looks pretty nice. both sides of the case open up completely so its pretty easy to work on.

im not super picky when it comes to a box to hold my computer parts. so my main concern was price and airflow. i chose this case because it had a surprisingly low cost for the features it offers. multiple fan mounts, an attempt at air filters and easy access to the inside. all in all it seems to be a decent deal

Cons: not the best materials or construction, and a problem with the rebate.

so right out of the box i was a little disappointed with their fan placement, the room in the front seems a bit cramped and the small fan on the side by the drives seems a little choked as well, but that still leaves room for 2 massive fans on the back and 1 on the sides, plus plenty of room if i decide to add a liquid cooler, so im not so dissapointed with that. i like the idea of the removable hard drive cage (my last case had one), but the rails didn't quite line up just so, and you kind of have to struggle to get it in or out.

i also noticed that one of the magnetic inlays that hold the front door closed had come off, it was still stuck to the front of the case and i realised they had probably just forgotten to glue it in place. nothig a little superglue wont fix... as long as your not an idiot and glue it in the right direction so it holds the door closed instead of open.... no reason to mention that really. id never make a dumb mistake like that, but if someone did id imagine it would be very difficult to get the magnet back out and installed with the correct polarity. just a guess, i've certainly not had experience doing any such thing....

last of all its been quite some time since i purchased this and i got it with a lot of other stuff. quite a few of the other items i purchased had rebates and this item offered one as well. i've gotten them all back with the exception of this one. to be fair i haven't gone kicking and screaming back to them demanding to know where my money is, so im not sure what the excuse is. im not really excited about spending hours on hold dragging an explanation from some support call center employee (hardly seems worth the trouble for the 15 or $20). and i think the case was probably worth what i payed for it. still, it leaves me feeling just a bit ripped off.

Other Thoughts: all in all id say you get what you pay for. dont buy this case if your looking for something that can compete with the super nice $500 cases out there. but if your looking to save some money and get a nice looking decent case this is a good option. its has one of the lowest prices on newegg and even though its filters arent perfect and its not tooled out of a solid block of titanium, it still has as many or more features than the other cases in its low price range. im satisfied.

3 out of 5 eggsRaidmax ATX-617-SB

Pros: Easy access to both sides of case. Good construction

Cons: Front panel headphone jack will not hold the plug in place, you have to push it in and hold it there for the headphones to work. One egg deducted for that. Don't know about the mic jack, I have never used one anyway.

Other Thoughts: Fairly good construction overall. The fan holders in two of the positions are plastic but seem to work ok. The storage box of hardware is cool, when you add a component you don't have to hunt for hardware. It also includes different size vel-cro cable wraps for cable management.
When mounting the MB the right panel lays down and you can install all components including the PCI cards. Made the build very easy.

4 out of 5 eggsGull Wing Case makes it easy

Pros: The gull wing construction is nice for visualization of components, cables and the like.

The reason I bought this case was the need for floppy bays for an old floppy, and zip drive

allowing me access to old storage data. I have been able to manipulate 16bit apps, we will have

see if the 64bit operating system will allow 32bit apps to function, or I may have more work ahead.

The number of fans are good, but they work a little at cross purposes, hopefully, the PWM control will keep temperature in the proper range.

Cons: Not as solid as I would like. The hinges keep coming loose, making it difficult not to

break cables and connections. A 120mm case fan will never fit in the front as stated, but there is

a cage for an 80mm in front of the 3.5" drive bays. If you have an oversize graphics card (>11")

any drives above three will conflict with it when closing the case!

Other Thoughts: We all would design it differently, but it works, and once the case is closed up, and tighten all pros, and cons become a thing of the past, until adding, modifying, or repairing the system. If, you think about that, it is the way things should be! Now that I know the case, I would buy it again, if I needed to build a similar system.

3 out of 5 eggsSolid case with quirks

Pros: Heavier duty steel for the price
Removable HD cage
Very long cables for front panel/USB
Includes reuseable expansion port covers
Relatively quiet
decent sized graphics card can fit, though not the longest

Cons: Poor cable management options (modular PSU recommended)
Can't install 120mm front fan (front bezel can't be reinstalled with fan, installing inside of case the holes aren't properly aligned)
Glue holding magnets in place doesn't last (the front door uses these magnets remain closed)
Doors can be challenging to realign/install if removed

Other Thoughts: This case feels like it's was designed to find solutions looking for problems, which in some areas works, and others doesn't. The gull wing doors could be neat, if the motherboard tray wasn't attached, forcing all cables to be removed if you want to open the doors to add something. Thermal wise, temps are average, though they'd be better if all the fan bays could be properly used.

Manufacturer Response:
