3 out of 5 eggscan't recommend either

Pros: Excellent case for modders, which is the only reason I am giving this 3 eggs instead of 2. However, for the non-modder this case is an overpriced chunk of noisy aluminum. Again, the modding potential is awesome if you are willing to spend the time and money.

Cons: Lower level door fastening is flimsy plastic, rattles, I contacted Silverstone about that and they said other users felt that using magnets that close to the HDD cage would be risky. Whatever ...

Side panels rattle even when securely fastened, need to take them off and get little felt dots at a crafting store to eliminate this vibration related noise.

Insufficient air flow in stock form. Better once dust filter is removed, better yet once a 120mm hole is cut in the top and a "blow hole" fan added.

Other Thoughts: If you are willing to spend this amount of cash, get a TJ07 instead, it's a far superior case in all aspects.

2 out of 5 eggsCannot recommend

Pros: It's black (I own the black version of this case not currently available at Newegg. Lots of room inside. Removeable motherboard chassis. Technical support good to above average.

Cons: Workmanship, fit and finish is poor. Power and reset switches were wired backwards (almost RMA'd power supply and mobo until I accidentally discovered their wiring error). Not teribly efficient cooling and I have often had to open the lower front panel door to help cool the system down (even with round cables and very neatly bundled and air-flow efficient wiring). Dual 80-mm back fans are loud and also not terribly efficient. Front panel I/O door a flimsy joke at the bottom of an almost tower case. Front panel USB, audio and Firewire wiring also took tech. support help for properly identifying individual connectors. There's no reason why a case this expensive should add three or four hours to a build just to troubleshoot the case.

Other Thoughts: Silverstone US technical support was above average. Sent new front power/reset switch immediately (by then I had reversed the connectors, so it's still in my dsk drawer). Emailed detailed wiring schematics for the front panel connectors within an hour or two of asking. Cannot in any way recommend this case for a home build. Nothing more sickening than to press a power button and have nothing happen!

2 out of 5 eggsdisappointing

Pros: Lightweight aluminum, good case for modders, lots of room, none of those cheap and noisy plastic dvd and hd bay rails. Attractive case, even without mods.

Cons: This is my third Silverstone case and my first TJ-03. This purchase is disappointing, this is not a low budget case, but as a previes reviewer mentioned Silverstone tried to save a few cents on not installing magnets on the lower door but is uing cheap plastic clips which do not hold the door shut under any circumstances. The front-panel leads do not have a standard connector that fits onto a motherboard usb connector, but instead each lead is separate, which makes for a difficult time connecting the front panel. This case has a gigantic, raised, reset button, which is mindboggling. If you have small children, I recommend you disable the reset button altogether. The side panels are a tad loose and generate substantial vibration noise when a CD/DVD drive is spinning. I have my HDDs suspended so I am not sure whether HDDs would make the panels vibrate under normal conditions.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy this case again. The amount of work requiret to quiet this case down, and the poor quality of the door closing mechanism is something that I would expect to put up with when buying a case that's a quarter of the price of this one. Skip this case!

5 out of 5 eggsslick plus

Pros: Love the slide out chassis. Makes working on the mother board and installations very easy. Also a very slick looking box.

Cons: The leads for the front panel required a support session to ensure they matched the mobo.

Other Thoughts: It is more expensive than other boxes but the aluminum body makes the whole box a heat sink.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: It is a good looking case and I was generally pleased with the quality. Although, I did think the construction was a little on the light side considering the cost. But when everything was installed and buttoned-up, it felt like a sturdy case.

Cons: The upper front door is held shut by magnets, which work well. The lower door is held shut by two cheap plastic clips, that don't work worth a flip. I installed two strips of velcro on the inside of the lower door and problem solved. You have to purchase the front-bay adapters to accomodate 3.5-in devices.

Other Thoughts: It is important to level the case so that the upper door does not swing annoyingly one way or the other when you are trying to access the drives.

5 out of 5 eggsLasting Satisfaction

Pros: There are 2 things that deliver consistent daily satisfaction in my life.
The laminate flooring I installed in our family room that replaced some really ugly vinyl, and this case, which is a thing of beauty whose appearance and durability equal the flooring.
It’s the satisfaction that comes from knowing hard earned money has been converted to lasting quality and practicality.

Cons: Zero

Other Thoughts: I’ve never regretted any transaction with newegg.
Any company that desires success should look to newegg as a model.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad, but overpriced

Pros: Nice looks, good case. This is the case falcon northwest uses for their Mach V, so definitely nice that you can buy the case alone here at newegg.

Cons: Price.

Other Thoughts: Look at the cooler master wave master case which is significantly less and is an extremely similar design.

Newegg is the best as always (built over 15 computers using parts from here, always a pleasure).

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best

Pros: This is just an awesome case. It is solid as a rock and looks great.

Cons: There is no 3.5” bay and no window standard.

Other Thoughts: For the money, I would have liked some aluminum fans.

5 out of 5 eggsSexiest chasis out there . . .

Pros: Size, cooling capability, noise level, loads of little details like tall mobo off-sets for max. cooling, tremendous detail in ALL aspects of its construction and, oh - did I say size???

Cons: None. Worth every bloody dime!

Other Thoughts: My first time here with The EggMaster - unreal service! Ordered an entire new build worth of parts on 12/26 and it was all here on 12/29! Impressive given the holiday. Why by from anyone else - Go NewEGG!!!

4 out of 5 eggsBeautiful

Pros: Case is very well made and looks very nice next to my G5 Dual 2.5. I am predominantly a Mac user and am accustomed to very well made/well designed computers. This and one LanLi were the only ones I found to have the aluminum build quality I was looking for. In addition, this thing has tons of room to add on and great circulation. This build is actually quieter than my G5!

Cons: However, the front power buttons are a tad loose (but no more than any other PC cases) so that the occasionally rub when being depressed. This is really not a big deal, but its like a finger nail on a chock board when it happens because of the way the aluminum buttons were milled.

Other Thoughts: The customer service was superior. I called on the buttons and the sent me replacement parts the next day (Silverstone that is)!
