5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the form factor

Pros: Nice looking metal case

Great form factor for those who need small footprint (e.g., size of mATX MB), resulting in a taller case -- great for a number of A/V shelves.

Takes full size PSU

Four USB ports

Two 5" ext drive bays; two HDD bays with a fan going over the HDDs

Cons: Given its size, you'll have to take the brace with the fans out a lot to get at things --- metal-on-metal screw attachment should last with the appropriate care

CPU HSF height is limited; will definitely fit stock fans. Had to go with Zalman blossom shaped fans for extra cooling/quiet.
Included stock fans a bit loud; under volted them to keep them quiet.

Very expensive when compared to the cheaper steel version of this case

No eSata port in front (would expect one at this price)

Wish there was a better ventilation solution for the CPU; you could get a Silverstone fan that sucks air from the outside and throws it over the CPU, but, then you give up on the larger HSF. An obvious competitor to this case would be a Shuttle case with a decent chipset, room for a large video card --- that Shuttle case would have heat pipe / fan setup which might be able to handle hotter CPUs.

Other Thoughts: Not a whole lot of room for cables. Highly recommend buying a PSU with modular plugs so that you can minimize the excess cables in the case. I'd consider going further and modding the remaining cables, making them much shorter.

Wish the case had a door for the optical drives to make it look nicer than seeing the exposed plastic face plate of the optical drive.

Got my build to be quiet enough for my needs, but, definitely not a quiet case if you stick in a hot running GPU and CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat small case

Pros: Easy to put together. Included fans are fine. You will have to work on cable management. I have the silverstone under the powersupply cooler and it worked well.

Cons: Use a modular power supply. I had to put some of the cables below the 5.25' drive and use up that slot. I used it on 2 deployments and it held up well.

Other Thoughts: I purchased another silverstone for a HTPC case and really like their build quality. I have a intel 775, asus p5k-vm, and evga 8800gt, and silverstone nt06 cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall & Roomy

Pros: Small case with lots of room, well placed bay for drives & sturdy.

Cons: Ordered it cause I wanted a black chassis - was sent a silver (aluminum color) chassis case instead, not a big deal, other than that no cons at all.

Other Thoughts: If using a Long video card - GTX295 or 4870 X2 make sure to remove the HDD rack.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing HTPC case

Pros: I built my first computer, a HTPC, around this case. Everything fit inside perfectly and cable management and airflow are a non-issue, even using every drive slot. The way the case comes apart makes reaching any component in the machine extremely easy. Also, the fit and finish of everything once finally put together was tight enough that there was virtually zero vibration noise.

Technical aspects aside, the finish on the case is amazing. The front black plastic has a faint wood grain look to it which fits in perfectly with my entertainment center.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: The power supply sits above the CPU, which means that you actually do have to follow the "maximum CPU fan height" of 78mm.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Good airflow, sturdy, uses standard size power supply, overall well built.

Cons: No handle if you care about that kind of thing.

Other Thoughts: The instruction manual has hints about how to work in the cramped spaces. May get difficult if you install more than one optic drive and one hard drive. If you do then you better get a modular power supply or there will be no place for the wires to go.

5 out of 5 eggsi *love* it but...

Pros: great looks and long-term built quality, roomy enough to accommodate extensions despite size limitations

Cons: limited PSU and CPU cooler choices dictated upon you by the case size. forget the fans that come with it, research better choice on silent computing choices, but the limited CPU cooler choice with 70mm cleareance will be the gating factor for the silent nature of this...

Other Thoughts: i like this case and have been working around its size-dictated limitations for a while. as of late 2008, i think i am ready to switch strategies - given my silent computing priorities, what i need to do is get aroomier case that does not limit my PSU and CPU cooling choices. love this case as a trendy and good looking piece, but i wil move on - to one of the larger Silverstone cases. this case convinced me Silverstone is the brand i like to stay busy with.

3 out of 5 eggsPricy for the features

Pros: Bought this for an HTPC build. Lots of fans, removable HD cage with dedicated 3-pin fans that go to sleep with Vista. Handsome front appearance with bright accents. Surprising large and well laid out.

Cons: Some disappointments. NO CASE SPEAKER! so no beep codes. Surprising in such a costly (No power supply!) case. No 31/2 opening, its an extra cost option that isn't in stock at Newegg at the moment. Textured finish on back top of cover was scraped off and repainted smooth. Not a biggie since its on the top at the back, but considering cost...ummm. No better fit and finish than the much cheaper Aspire cases that cost less than half WITH a PS.

Other Thoughts: Consider alternatives.

5 out of 5 eggsSharp looking case

Pros: I'm a pretty compulsive buyer when it comes to PC components. This case has, time and time again, "talked" me out of buying a new SFF (especially a smaller Shuttle case) because of its quality appearance.

Cons: There's gotta be a way to fit at least 92 mm fans into this case. Cooling is pretty good for a SFF when an extra fan is installed in the front-left corner - air goes in the front and is exhausted out the back of the video/sound card area. The CPU cooler gets plenty of ventilation, although not an actual fan pushing air toward it.

Other Thoughts: Silverstone also sells a carrying case for this case model (and a few others, I believe). This is the perfect setup if you move your desktop around. Unlike PC straps, this bag actually protects the PC case, holds a keyboard (discreetly!), and games, etc. Also, it's small enough to be accepted as a carry-on on an airplane.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Loving this case over my Thermaltake Tsunami. The finish is flawless inside and out. Only using 2 PCI slots for the 8800GTS so space is not a concern.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: For the occasional LAN party, a handle would be great.
