The stylish Crown Series CW02 case is the ideal home for your high-end HTPC system. Its premium aluminum chassis and library-quiet 120mm exhaust fan keep your ATX media center cool and working at optimal speed without any noisy distractions. The vibration-damping hard drive cage holds up to six 3.5" drives and protects the drives from long-term damage. There's plenty of room inside the case for your extended graphics card and a CPU cooler up to 160mm tall.

A concealed I/O panel on the front sports a pair of USB 2.0 ports, a Fire Wire port, audio jacks, and a 52-in-1 card reader, so it's easy to connect your peripherals, load a video from your camera, or transfer music files from flash memory or your thumb drive. A pair of large knobs control volume and navigation, while the multi-language LCD display gives you the information you need at a glance. The CW02 blends beautifully into your home theater system, and lets you kick back on the couch and direct in comfort with an IR remote. Everything else in your media cabinet is top-shelf; shouldn't your HTPC case be, too?

2 out of 5 eggsCase Has Been a Complete Disaster!

Pros: A thing of beauty on the outside. But if I ever get it working, I'm reluctant to proudly display the optional "SilverStone" logo based on all the problems I've had.

Cons: Anyone considering to buy this case needs to be prepared to get something nowhere near the quality suggested by the high price. Just like another reviewer already said, my case came with no mounting screws for the hard drive or mounting bracket for the optical drive. Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. The case would not power on with the power cable for the remote controlled LCD screen attached to the MB. I received a replacement from Silverstone that was covered in scratches and obviously well used. It worked, but then I discovered the next issue - the hard drive bays had been installed backwards. This means you can't securely mount the hard drives, and the card reader is not flush with the front of the case. To add insult to injury, a USB cable attached to the LCD screen requires an internal USB port (not a header) and the adapter cable was not included. (Not sure if I was supposed to buy this cable or not. The manual provides no list for included parts.)

Other Thoughts: A computer should not require over two weeks to build just because everytime you get the next part you needed replaced or fixed, you find the next thing that is wrong. I should also mention that the front optical drive panel is not designed for a 5.25" faceplate. The drive actually sits behind the panel and the panel opens automatically when you push a button located on the front of the unit. (And guess who originally had a non-standard optical drive where this button didn't match up with the eject button on the DVD-ROM? Yep, I did.) I decided it was no longer worth it. Who knows what else is wrong with this case? But since I bought another optical drive in addition to parts that would fit specifically inside a large HTPC case, I'm going to call Newegg and request a replacement. Hopefully this isn't a case of "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me." But it's obvious that SilverStone has some serious quality control issues!

3 out of 5 eggsWould be good, if it came with everything

Pros: Quality construction, looks good. Roomy inside, ample space for airflow.

Cons: I keep finding parts that the case is missing. I first noticed that the bags of screws/mounting hardware were missing. Silverstone put some in the mail to me (as of this review, I'm still waiting for them to arrive). I decided to get as much assembled as I could, and I now find that I am also missing the mounting brackets for the optical drive. If the manual came with a parts list, it would have made my task of inventory easier. I'm wondering what else my case is missing?!

Other Thoughts: When I'm actually able to complete my build & power it up, I'll update this review. In the mean time, if you order this, make sure you have everything that you are supposed to in the box (though, with the poor manual/documentation, you'll be guessing at what you are supposed to have).

4 out of 5 eggsnice case

Pros: very well layed out and has lots of room. large "quiet" fans room for adding 2 more fans to cool hard drive cages. beautiful vfd and nice construction. vista 64 copatible drivers thus far.

Cons: no sound inulation of hard drives in cages, difficult to get motherboard in (full atx), needs more atx headers for hard drive activity etc.

5 out of 5 eggsBest HTPC Case

Pros: Great design and looks great with other media center components. I've already had a couple people think it was a receiver. (I didn't want it to look like a PC, so this is a good thing.) Enough space for 6 HDDs and still enough room for all the other components to fit with some extra wiggle room.

Cons: Price is a little high, but this is the ultimate HTPC case if you can get past that. As others have said, the manual is pretty much worthless, but not a problem if you have any experience building PCs.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I love the case, and I'm starting to like the IMON software more and more after reading up on the different settings. The remote works great so far, but haven't used it all that much yet.

5 out of 5 eggsmy opinion

Pros: The high quality, top notch design/appearance made me feel a bit easier about buying a $400 case. I was going all out for this build, and needed an HTPC case that was nice looking & able to handle whatever I wanted to put inside it...and this does that.

Cons: Not the easiest case to build inside...it has plenty of room, and dull edges (for the most part)...however, it takes awhile to get everything in place and once it's there you don't want to have to make any changes or you'll have a lot of unscrewing to do.

P1SS POOR manual.

Other Thoughts: This thing really deserves a 4.5 since the manual is basically nonexistent (as well as phone support). The display is sweet, though the iMON software is not as flexible as I wish. It's getting a 5 instead of a 4 (since there is no 4.5) because of it's looks. I'm superficial.
