The Sugo SG07, with a size that slots in between the venerable SG01 Micro-ATX SFF case from 2005 and the SG05, a powerful Mini-ITX case released in 2009, was designed to take the Mini-ITX platform to a whole new level. It is twice as powerful as the SG05 but only 37% bigger. Its custom 600W power supply with 80 PLUS Bronze level efficiency and single +12V rail, was carefully chosen and optimized for SG07.

Exhaustive testing was conducted to create unique VGA fan duct and exhaust vents that enable SG07 to not only accommodate the longest consumer graphics cards physically (up to 12.2 inches/310mm) but also capable of supporting graphics thermal profile of up to 400W through overclocking. For the CPU and motherboard area, a record-breaking use of 180mm fan (bigger than the Mini-ITX motherboard!) with vortex generating design was utilized to provide possibility of fanless CPU cooling of up to 95W (via CPU cooler such as SilverStone’s NT06-E).

But despite having tremendous amount of cooling performance, the SG07 is easy to maintain as well. It employs positive pressure layout with all intake areas fitted with removable filters so dust will not accumulate inside. If the goal is to make the ultimate Mini-ITX system, the SG07 is hard to beat.

  • newegg Superior Cooling Performance The SilverStone SG07 is a class leading SFF chassis that comes with a huge 180mm fan and positive pressure cooling, plus side adjustable VGA fan duct with oversized vents and bottom PSU intake vents and VGA exhaust divider, for amazing cooling efficiency.
  • newegg SFF Case with Superior Expandability The Silverstone SG07 features one external slim 5.25" drive bay, one internal 3.5" drive bay and two 2.5" drive bays, and supports CPU cooler up to 117mm in height and a high-end video card (up to 12.2 inches and 400W), providing sufficient expandability as a SFF case.
  • newegg Built-in 600W 80PLUS Bronze Certified PSU The Silverstone SG07 comes equipped with an 80PLUS Bronze Certified 600W power supply featuring single strong +12V rail that delivers continuous, reliable power to all system components and high energy efficiency.
  • newegg Removable Fan Filters The dust filters for the case fan, PSU, and VGA duct prevent dust accumulation inside the chassis and are removable for easy cleaning.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The Silverstone SG07 features a convenient front I/O panel for easy access to two USB 2.0 and two audio ports.

2 out of 5 eggsAwsome mini itx, sort of

Pros: Just like all high end Silverstone cases, beautiful design. Looks good in every angle.

Cons: The PSU 24pin cable is about 3 feet long. Why in world you Silverstone put such long cable in mini itx case? That's just poor design or just too lazy to make PSU with shorter cable for such small itx case. The fan control could be better by using turn nob instead of a switch. The reset button, oh Geez. I find it extremely annoying why they seperate the reset button? NO LOGICAL SENSE AT ALL! and lastly. The paint job inside is not so pro, when I pull cover off the case, the edges from the cover had made scratches. They should put a layer coating to prevent scratches when removing the cover. ONE more thing, no USB 3.0? Sigh! This is just horrible. For a $200 dollar mini itx case, I expected a lot more. I'm being generous for giving 2 eggs. /sigh!

Other Thoughts: For itx cases, why the heck would you put in such long cable for such a small case. I'm really irritated by this because of poor air circulation in mini itx. the extra length does nothing but causing more heat issues. Do Silverstone makes a PSU that has shorter cable for this case? It would be nice if it short modular cable.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you very much for purchasing a SilverStone. We have recently released a USB 3.0 replacement cable for the SG07. For more information on how to upgrade your case to USB 3.0 and the part number that you need to purchase for the upgrade, please visit the bellow page and go to Q&A section on the bottom and click on "USB 3.0 Cable Upgrade Guide"

5 out of 5 eggsPSU better than expected

Pros: Running stock i5 2500k and a GTX 590 and so far been chugging along with no hickups. Even though half of the 590's exhaust expels within the case, it gets pushed out the side pretty well. Been running BF3 and Skyrim at max, no problem. Surprised I didn't have to upgrade the psu.

Cons: Cable management, that was expected with a small form factor

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Case

Pros: Made a racing lan box out of it, so far so good
- great packaging
- great design and solid build quality
- PSU is spot on
- side window option is somewhat useful
- cooling is efficient (top fan is great)
- came with 2 fan duct, 2 power cables -> i suspect during packaging someone had a doubt whether everything was in there and threw in another package just in case (turns out the other one was far from view at the bottom of the box) Still a very nice touch, says a lot about the product

Cons: - manual not very helpful
- really that's it, it's a great case+psu+120mm fan at this price point in this form factor

Other Thoughts: - as a noob builder i had to take my time to do things right

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great Case for a compact gaming machine. Very capable power supply (running a GTX 590 and a i7-2600k so it's stout and likely better than the 600w rating). Plenty of airflow while staying near silent thanks to the PWM 180mm fan. I'm very pleased with it.

Cons: Limited choices on CPU coolers but to be expected. Screws for slim optical drive are a bear. Cables are a little too long so require some management. USB 2.0 ports on the front (not 3.0). Not cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsAn easy fix...

Pros: A saw a couple reviews (on this site and others) mention that the intake fan of their graphic card doesn't line up with the ventilation holes on the window. The easy fix to this is unscrewing the window and flipping it. I did this with a graphic card that has an intake fan on the middle of the card-- ventilation holes line up and it works perfectly.

Cons: no thumb screws on the case door
117mm cpu cooler limit

Other Thoughts: This is an awesome mini itx case... about the size of a large shoe box.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Nice build quality. Nice looks. PS appears to be solid and comes with 2 pci-x power connectors.

Cons: Cable management does not work well if you are using a gpu that has top mounted power connectors. You'll have to bend the pci-x power cables quite a bit to get them to fit under the dvd drive. I would recommend using a gpu that has its power connection at the back end of the card. You'll reduce the length of the card you can use, but the there's plenty of room lengthwise compare to heightwise.

Newegg price, particularly with shipping is poor. I bought this elsewhere cheaper and with a small rebate.

Other Thoughts: First mini-itx build. Generally went fine.

Comes with those awful tiny screws for installation of a slim dvd drive so you don't need to buy elsewhere, but doesn't come with mini-sata adapter for a slim drive or a 90 degree sata cable you are going to need for the hd.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for mini-Gamer

Pros: 600w Power Supply...
Can fit an H70 with a little work...
Fits my EVGA GTX 470...

Cons: Slim DVD Drive...

Other Thoughts: Bought one of these to build a system for my parents and decided I liked it so much that I had to have my own. Wish it could be about an 1" or so taller but I'm very satisfied with it as is. Definitely recommend!

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

Pros: 600 Watt PSU
Small factor
Very Quiet
Runs very cool, well ventilated.
Would buy again and highly reconmend

Cons: The window grid doesn't extend over the fan on my graphics card. not a problem - yet - but it may be at some point

I found some of the power cables kind of short and they run very close to the heat sink of my processor (ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe AM3)

Power Switch on inside of unit

Other Thoughts: not a con, but worth noting if you plan to use a 2.5" HD
If you are using a 2.5" Hard Drive, you'll need an L-Shaped SATA cable (e.g. OKGEAR 10" SATA 6 Gbps Cable, Straight to Right Angle W/ Metal Latch)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: Very nice case and good power supply too. There are a few things worth mention about this case. If you plan on using 2.5 hdd you will need 90 deg sata cables. Also you will have to plan your cable management very well. The top fan does a great job keeping things cool. There was plenty of room for a Cooler Master GeminII S cpu cooler. I have been building mini-Itx systems for a few years and this is the best case I have used.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My setup
Zotac 9300 itx motherboard
e8400 @ 3.5ghz with Cooler Master GeminII S
4gb g.skill ram
spinpoint f3 1tb Hdd
Msi Hawk GTX460

5 out of 5 eggsBest itx case I can imagine.

Pros: - Very well built solid case and exceptional material, the layout is well designed, everything just fits perfectly without problems.

-It's almost dead quiet on low fan settings, which is good enough to keep the case cool for normal applications.

- Good airflow: isolates certain sectors like around the GPU, there is a rubber gaskets that lay flush to the card, to separate it from exhausting or intaking air from the main board areas.

Cons: A bit pricey, cable management was a pain but not too bad if you have patience.

The case itself is actually quite heavy for it size, but hey on the plus side it is made from good thick/sturdy materials.

Higher case fan settings can be considerably louder then when set to low, however is not very noticeable if you are listening to music or playing a game. I happen to have mine right on top of my desk so I notice the extra noise.

Other Thoughts: My Layout:
Gigabyte H55N USB3 itx mobo
Core i7 870 Quad OC to 3.6ghz
- With Scythe Shuriken 100mm cooler
Asus Top GTX460 DDR5 1gb Clock @775mhz
G. Skill Eco DDR3: 4gb Ram Cas:7 OC to 1500mhz
G. Skill Pheonix Pro Solid State drive 120gb
Silverstone SG07

Running temp with over clocks mid 40's to 50c, max load 65c with fan on high. Overall a very good case if you have the money for it. PSU is more then enough to handle the newest GPUs not to mention enough room to accommodate the longest of them. Also it is the smallest gaming itx case I have seen everything fits in less then 1 cubic foot.
