SilverStone Redline Series RL04B
Black Steel and Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
The Redline series features punchy styling and technologies - exceeding all your past experiences and expectations of an affordable PC chassis. The RL04 will boost the adrenaline of any PC enthusiast with its chest armor - a styled front façade punctuated by a glowing red SilverStone logo that doubles as its power button. Its bottom-mounted power supply layout and flexible drive storage options support a wide selection of components. The top, front and bottom of the RL04 are also fully filtered to ensure that positive pressure setup, a prominent feature in SilverStone's high-end chassis, is a viable option for creating a dust-proof PC. The RL04 is an excellent choice for enthusiasts looking for quality features and styling at a reasonable price.
Easy Installation and Expansion
The five, tool-less 3.5in. drive bays and four 5.25in. drive bays with tool-less locks not only offer highly flexible drive storage options, but also allow easy and quick installation. Also supported are seven expansion slots and up to 11.5in. cards. The motherboard back plate opening ensures quick CPU cooler assembly.
Cable Management
The SilverStone Redline Series RL04 provides a cable cutout on the motherboard tray and offers room behind it for convenient cable management that keeps your system neat and tidy.
Side-Mounted Reset Button and I/O Ports
Unlike a traditional front I/O panel, the SilverStone Redline RL04 has a side-mounted reset button and I/O ports including microphone, audio and two USB 3.0 ports. Together with its armor styled façade and red SilverStone logo, the front panel looks simple and artistic.
Removable Dust Filter
The dust filter for the top and bottom vents helps prevent dust from entering and ensures positive pressure for effective dust reduction. It is also removable for easy cleaning.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome for budget gaming

Pros: I got this case on a newegg sale for $30. It's got a huge CPU cutout, extremely good cable management options, and the now-standard bottom mount PSU slot. This case has options that I usually see on $100-150 cases, and I'd know because I build custom machines professionally.

Cons: There are two main disadvantages with this case. First, the dust filters are *extremely* flimsy. I snapped the bottom PSU one immediately after removing it from the box. The side dust panel is magnetic but came out of the box warped and would not stay on. I had to rebend it and add a few extra magnets of my own to get it to stick.

Then of course, it does not come with extra case fans. There are many mounting points but only one is loaded. This will raise the 'actual' cost of the case *IF* you need the extra heat management. I don't overclock, don't recommend it, and already have a very efficient setup so additional case fans were not needed.

Other Thoughts: When I received the case, the front power switch was broken. Took me about an hour to troubleshoot down to the power switch, I thought I'd ESD'd myself lol. When I figured it out, I simply rewired the front power switch jumpers to the reset power switch jumpers. It's much less hassle than sending the whole thing back after plugging it all in, and it's actually nice because I have kids and they like to push buttons if I'm not careful. The reset switch is very hard for them to find!

Overall, for $30 this was a great purchase and I expect it to be a long lasting case.

5 out of 5 eggsbuying another.

Pros: PRICE!! . the quality in the price range is hard to find also. fits my video cards (big). wiring is a dream for hiding places. no screws/screw holes were stripped. CPU cooler screws are viewable from side panel (trade cpu coolers out without taking out the whole board). easy to clean.

Cons: open to dust and had to buy fans. came with only one removable vent cover (as advertised) yet kinda needs two. theres 2 120mm on side and 2 120mm on top. i ended up not even using the vent cover since it clamps on magnetically and then falls off easily. i modified some dust catching strips with a quick drive to autozone/o'rielly's/auto parts store.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bang For The Buck

Pros: This case honestly blows every case out of the water for its same price range. Between the easy to remove air filters, bottom mounted (and vented) PSU location, removable drive bays, easy cable management, high air flow, and front USB 3.0 support, I could not have gotten a more functional case in this same price range.

My old case was a Antec 300, and I was looking at getting a HAF 912. However, after seeing this case I gave it a try.

If you have any doubts... buy it.

Cons: The PCI slot covers are not replaceable, so once you pop them out... they are out for good. Not really a problem in my case.

Other Thoughts: My Radeon HD 7950 (at 11.42") fit, but barely. My Hyper 212 Evo fits with ease.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget case

Pros: Awesome cable management, lots of dust filters, supports 2 x 140mm radiators on the top, and side-ways facing hard drive bays that allow cables to be run through the back of the case. Also the case is wider than most budget cases 8.66 inches wide which is about an inch wider than most cases this size.

Cons: I wish they extended the raised top to support a 3 x 120mm or 3 x 140mm, but at this price I don't expect it.

Other Thoughts: This is one of the best cases for under $75 and I highly recommend it.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Air Flow Management

Pros: Good Cable Management
No Tool Drive Install
Power Supply Dust Filter

Front panel fan Pulls air in with no filter

Other Thoughts: I want to minimize dust in my machine so I care about filters and airflow management. Normally there are one or two places I have to cover to get what I want. With this case it was impossible. Holes on top, on the side, on the back and worst of all on the whole front is perforated.

This pretty much makes the filter provided useless. Also, the filter provided does not fit correctly over the top fan holes.

Looks like I will have to break it down for cleaning twice a year.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you very much for purchasing a SilverStone. The RL04 does have filter behind the front vents, although to access it, you do need to remove the front panel from the main chassis. To keep your case dust-free inside, please make sure to create positive pressure inside the case by installing more intake fans than exhaust. For more information on postiive pressure, please check out our article in the below link:
