LinkWorld has created a case to have room for all you need without paying a fortune to do it. The Model 3230-02C2222U is, to all appearances, a no frills computer. It has an elegant, clean look that will be unobtrusive on anyone's desk. The two 5.25" and two 3.5" external drive bays are an obvious plus, but both expected and needed in today's world. As the adage goes, looks can be deceiving. Take a look inside.

The vents along both sides to let in cool air might be missed to a casual glance, and who would notice the duct giving the CPU fan a place to put the hot air. The rear 90mm fan will have little trouble keeping the temperature in check. The combination of all these discrete features are a great benefit to keeping your system cook in the hottest situations

The forward USB ports are both hidden and protected at the bottom. And then you get to the brains of the operation: An amazing five 3.5" internal hard drive slots. If you want more for your money, this is the way to go.

  • newegg Rustproof Galvanized Steel Case Use of SECC/SGCC rustproof and galvanized steel enhances the Linkworld 431-06 C.2828’s durability and appearance. Non-sharp, crimped edged design prevents cuts and scratches during handling and installation.

4 out of 5 eggsMac Look Knockoff

Pros: Most Mac-ish looking case that I could find about 1 year ago. Yes it is thin metal and it's smaller than a typical mid-tower but I run dual video cards, three hardrives & an after market CPU cooler tower with everything fitting fine! No issues with the CD drive doors not working. Good for the money-would buy another.

Cons: Thin metal edges are very sharp...handle w/ care!! Case fan is noisy.

Other Thoughts: Wish it had larger fans for cooling. Didn't use the case's psu.

3 out of 5 eggsNot really that bad for the price.

Pros: I realize its not a Hickey Freeman. You just have to be careful in taking some of the plastic fascia off. The mother board I used max the size as I used all the screw hole plus the nylon corner mount. This became a problem in installing the hard drives from the rear. The fascia on the front looks like it can be removed by the top and bottom handles that have screws and pushing the plastic "nibs" out. I will install from the front if it has access? I did replace the 500 Watt power supply with one much larger out put that will be needed. The one that came with did have 1 -sata power connector.

Cons: Yes the sheet metal gauge is somewhat thin so be careful in handling. I replace and re-tap the four holes that hold the sides. I used knurled nylon screws as I would be removing it often till I had the outputs working correctly.

Other Thoughts: If the manufacture would put more in the thickness of the sheet metal; it is a knock out for those that wish to make a hacintosh.

2 out of 5 eggsmeh

Pros: roomy, comfortable to carry because of the plastic handles (anyone else who has carried a G5 or a MacPro for any distance knows what I am talking about) good ventalation, mounted a case fan in the place of the CPU duct.

Cons: seemingly bad measurements for the expansion slot area, my cards have to stick somewhat out of the slots to fit, one of the sidepanel screw holes was stripped, flimsy, and the expansion slot bracket was just a bad idea.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy again, I am somewhat satisfied.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's ok

Pros: It is flimsy, but for price what do you expect, no problems with any thing else. though i bought it for a friend i wouldn't get it.

I bought this tower instead a little more in price, but worth it.

APEVIA X-QPACK2-AL/500 Black/ Silver Aluminum Body/ Front Mask MicroATX Desktop Computer Case 500W Power Supply - Retail

Cons: flimsy, power supply looks cheap, it's just a cheap tower for a cheap price.

3 out of 5 eggsNot that bad, but not that good.

Pros: Great airflow. The front mesh plastic is actually quite the help. It Keeps the airflow steady to cool everything quite nicely. The handles On the top and bottom make it an easy-to-carry PC if you move it from place to place often.

Cons: It holds the motherboard just a tad low. Some of the cards inserted can't enter the ports "fully". Might cause problems with shorting out certain cards.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a first-time lightweight and sleekly designed case, this is definitely a good option. If you're holding expensive equipment inside it I would check around for something a little better. A little more cash will go a long way.

4 out of 5 eggsLooks good, works good

Pros: I bought this because I needed a new power supply for my old case and a new case to put my old parts into after a complete upgrade. The power supply works great and the case looks good. The handles make it very easy to move and it is a good full sized desktop case(but it only has 2 DVD/CD slots).

Cons: It is a little flimsy, not enough expansion space, kinda cheap plastic expansion covers.

Other Thoughts: For the price its pretty good.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Case ~^.=.^~

Pros: Nice looking case; front panel works. I like the big power button. The elevation saved me from water damage (don't leave a cup of soda down near your PC overnight).

People also comment on it's similarity to another company's design! :)

Cons: The given drive slots are a bit sticky when a CD drive pulls back inward, so it sticks out a bit. But that's my problem; I'm obsessive about things acting correctly.
It was also a bit difficult removing the I/O shield, but I got through it alive.

Other Thoughts: I chose my own power supply, but I think I'll keep this power supply as backup or sell it (time will tell if I get fed up lugging it around). The I/O shield was also scrapped for the mobo-supplied one. I also removed the internal vent, as it took up space my heatsink needed. Other than that, the setup was nice.

4 out of 5 eggsA few little annoyances, but good

Pros: 1.) looks sweet
2.) four handles make it easy to carry (great for lan parties!)
3.) Plenty of power
4.) All the front panel plugs are bonded together for easy plug in (i.e. you don't have to try to plug each pin into the mobo when plugging in front usb.)

Cons: 1.) Really crowded inside! (see other)
2.) no sata power (not the end of the world, just by an adapter)
3.) instead of individual screws for each pci device, there is one single piece of metal that you use to press the pci slots down. Then you have to screw that in. Really annoying when there are multiple pci devices and you need to change just one.

Other Thoughts: It should be noted that this case is cramped! There are silver doors (see pictures) for the cd tray. These panels cannot be removed, or at least are really hard to remove. I pressed as hard as I could and saw no tabs that would let me take them off. so, I had to load the cd drive in from the rear. Well, the power supply is so close to the cd trays, that I had to take out the psu just to get the cd-drive in! Not cool. Also, it was a real hassle to get the cd-drive into the proper alignment so the trap door button would work. It's do-able, just really annoying. Once the rig is assembled though, it looks nice. 4 stars becuase of cramped quarters and cheesy cd-trays.
