5 out of 5 eggsGreat overall case

Comments: I have been building computers for myself and friends for 15 years. I have used some fairly poor cases in the past. This is by far the easiest case i have ever worked with. Nice and simple. Very little in the way of directions needed. Everything is self-explanitory. The case construction is SOLID and I expect to have no problems over the years with this one.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CASE

Comments: I have built multiple systems for myself, and friends with this case (and its discontinued sibling, the silver version). This is a VERY solid case, rounded edges everywhere, simple, functional. This is not your flashy, neon lighted, modders dream case. I dare say this case gives L***-L* cases a run for quality at a better price! Yes, the USB headers are individual wires, yes the firewire cable is CHEESY. No, I havent had heat issues other than my 6800 video card (known for running hot). With the adjustable case fans, speed can be set to make this a quiet case. All in all, you cant beat Kingwins case for the money!

5 out of 5 eggsBest case I have worked with

Comments: I have been using this case almost two years. It has seen many other components come and go. This Kingwin case is easy to work with. Handsome black finish, light weight (but not flimsy), plenty of room, no sharp edges, easy to clean filter. If you want a solid, basic aluminum case and don't care about lights and windows, this is the way to go. Thanks newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsSome Knowledge Needed...

Comments: This was the first aluminum case I have purchased. As mentioned previously, the instructions are terrible, so you do need some idea of what you are doing. Surprisingly the three 80mm fans do provide a good amount of airflow, without being noisy. There is a filter over the intake fans. I did not like the pass through 1394 cable for the front panel access, and the USB headers are indiviual connectors. The connector for the power LED is old-school, a quick re-wire will eliminate the issue.

All in all, good case, a few small flaws, which earn this case 4 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggs2nd Time I have bought this case.

Comments: This is the 2nd time I bought this case. Problem on this one is that the power button has a tendency to push the sensor out of it's holder. Very lightweight case. Easy to get in and work on it. Pull out tray for the mobo. Would buy it again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Comments: I really like this case, it's simple and feel very well built. It has a slide out motherboard tray which is really going to help with the install. The instuctions for the case where written in very broken english so you might as well throw them out, you take the drive bay covers off only after unscrewing one thumbscrew on the drive bay on the inside of the case and a thumb screw under the front case cover...

5 out of 5 eggsKT-424-BK CASE

Comments: one of the best cases out there especially for under 100.00
extremely easy to work with setting up a new system or transferring a old one to a new case
the only "flaw" is kingwin should of used two 120mm fans instead of the four 80`s for a quieter case....not that this one is loud by any means

Comments: I used this case in my first ever computer build. Good sturdy construction, thumb screws on everything, quick capture tabs for the drive bays is very handy. I didnt realize it has a strip of fake "carbon fiber" on the top front face of case, which some might like, but I found a little cheesy, since its not real carbon fiber, and I origionally was turned onto the case b/c it didnt have all the windows and lights and whistles. It doesnt look bad though. Also the door for the front USB/Firewire is kinda annoying being clear, since it breaks up the rest of the black case, I ended up painting it black and not caring that it makes it hard to see the symobls, hell i know that USB and firewire is there. but thats nitpicking. Overall aside from the small nitpickish items, a very good case, I'd buy it again.

Comments: This is a nice looking case with a simple and sturdy design. There's no fancy side window, lights, or blow holes, it's just a nice solid case. It's light weight and has plenty of room for upgrades. The slide out mobo tray makes it easier to working with and I didn't have to buy fans since it comes with 3. The only thing I don't like about this case is the finish is very easy to scratch, but with some care this should not be a problem.
